Chapter 650: Peeves Stealing Things
Harry leaned in to get it, but it was too late!
The egg rolled down the long staircase, and with each step there was a loud bang, like a big drum. Pen ~ fun ~ pavilion www.biquge.info
Knock, knock, knock......
The golden egg rolled to the bottom of the stairs, burrowed out from under the tapestry, bounced off, and began screaming in the hallways below.
"Oops, it's going to wake everyone up in the castle!" Harry said, "Hurry up, Ron, get him back!"
His feet were still sunk knee-deep in the mischievous steps and he couldn't pull them out, so he could only press Ron anxiously.
"No, there's someone coming, we can't go over!" Ron said in a panic, just two steps before running back quickly.
He rewrapped himself and Harry in the Cloak of Invisibility, and the two stood stiffly in the middle of the stairs, listening in horror......
Almost in the blink of an eye, someone shouted, "Peeves!"
There is no doubt that it was the vigilant cry of the janitor Filch.
His rapid, tapping footsteps could be heard getting closer, and his panting voice was raised with anger.
"What the hell is going on here? Do you want to wake up the people in the castle? I'm going to get you, Peeves, I'm going to catch you...... Huh, what is this?"
Filch's footsteps stopped, and he picked up the golden egg and closed it with a puzzled expression.
I only heard a click, it was the sound of metal colliding with each other, and the screaming stopped!
Harry and Ron stood motionless, one of Harry's feet still stuck in the enchanted steps.
Now, Filch would lift the tapestry at any moment, thinking he would see Peeves, but there weren't any Peeves at all.
If he goes up the stairs, he might find Harry and Ron.
"Golden Eggs?!" Filch whispered at the bottom of the stairs, "My precious cat, this is the clue to the Triwizard Tournament, it belongs to one of the school's champions!, I see, Peeves, you're stealing!"
His voice rose sharply, with irrepressible joy.
He tore open the tapestry below, and Harry and Ron could see his horrible, sagging face and bulging light eyes, staring up at the dark, empty staircase.
Harry's heart was beating like a drum, and Ron's eyes widened and he swallowed hard.
"Hiding, huh?!" Filch whispered, "I'm going to get you, Peeves, you actually stole the clues of the Triwizard Tournament, Dumbledore will not spare you this time, you dirty, stealing, prankster......"
Filch began to climb the stairs, followed by his scrawny, gray-haired cat.
Lady Loris's large, bulb-like eyes were exactly the same as those of their owners, staring at Harry and Ron at the moment.
Harry's back was covered in cold sweat, and he had suspected that the Invisibility Cloak wouldn't work for cats.
He was almost fainting with fear, and watched Filch, in an old flannel dressing gown, approach.
He struggled desperately to get his stuck foot out, only to sink deeper and deeper.
Ron didn't play a role, he was already stupid, standing motionless, as if he were a wax figure.
Now, Filch could come over and bump into him and Ron at any moment......
"What's going on, Filch?!"
Filch stopped and turned around, just a few steps away from Harry and Ron.
Snape stood at the bottom of the stairs with a grim face, his chest heaving violently, his wand clenched in his hand, as if he had just run up.
Next to him, it was Evan and Hermione!
..............................................................................
As soon as Evan climbed up from the lake, Hermione rushed over and hugged her.
She didn't care that Evan's body was wet and full of water, she just hugged him so tightly that she never wanted to let go.
She had just been staring at the dark lake outside, waiting for hours, for fear that something might happen to Aven.
Especially the last hour or so was a torment for Hermione, and Evan had been down for too long.
If it weren't for the fact that she couldn't breathe underwater, she would even want to go inside and look for Aven.
Whether it was the Bubble Head Charm or the Human Transfiguration, it was a senior course, and Hermione hadn't mastered it yet.
Thinking of this, she felt that she was very useless, her magic strength was so poor, and she couldn't help Evan at all.
In the midst of this complex tension, Hermione sat alone by the dark lake for hours.
Her body froze, but she didn't care at all, she just wanted Evan to be safe.
Seeing Evan come out, she was naturally overjoyed.
Being hugged tightly by Hermione, although the cold wind blew and it felt really cold, Aivan's heart was warm.
They hugged each other for a while before they were awakened by the icy water and the cold wind.
As much as Evan wanted to do something to Hermione, it was too inappropriate to stand waist-deep in the lake.
They hugged each other and walked back to the shore, each feeling sweet and reassured, and Evan listened to Hermione talk about her worries, her concern for herself, and her hope that she would become stronger and help herself in the future......
This girl is much stronger than he imagined.
Hermione had always been very good and didn't have to push herself so hard, but proper practice was necessary.
As for her biggest problem at the moment, and a common problem among young wizards of this age, it is a lack of magic......
Evan thought that maybe he could give Hermione the Philosopher's Stone that Ravenclaw had left behind, but the extra one would be of little use to him anyway.
As for the use of magic power in the Philosopher's Stone, he has recently figured out a few tricks, and his research has progressed.
Unlike Harry, Ron, and Colin, who lacked a theoretical foundation, Hermione's biggest problem right now was the lack of enough magic.
Much like Evan before, Hermione was very smart, read a lot of magic books, and knew a lot of magic.
Although his focus is different, Evan is more focused on Transfiguration, the Dark Arts, and Defence Against the Dark Arts.
Hermione likes spells, the history of magic, and other types of magic that are not in the direction of actual combat, such as potions classes, ancient magic texts, arithmetic and divination.
But the problems encountered are all the same, limited by magic power, most of the magic, she can't use it.
Because of this, Hermione is now unable to fully display her strength.
The Philosopher's Stone is currently the only and most effective and fastest way to increase mana.
Evan thought that the next time he went to the bottom of the lake, he should bring Hermione with him.
After more than twenty minutes, the two men returned to the castle hand in hand.
As soon as I walked into the foyer, I saw a figure quickly disappear into the corner of the stairs not far away.
Evan was stunned for a moment, and the appearance of that person seemed to be Keresis......
