Chapter 1: The Demon Infant Descends from the Sky

On the bank of the Yellow River, there is a small mountain called Dry Cow Mountain. The depths of the mountains and forests are rarely visited, and it is said that it is a place where wolves gather, and those who enter it will never come out alive.

In the early winter, the mountains were rainy for many days, and in the middle of the night, the rain finally stopped, and the cold wind swept through the cold air, shuttling between the bare trees, and the dense forest was terrifyingly quiet.

Suddenly, there was a whistle in the distant sky, which was intermittent at first, but soon became coherent and loud, and then a burning meteorite, like a small spark, jumped out of the dark night. At the same time, the whistle was replaced by a rumbling explosion, and the inside of the meteorite continued to burst out with fierce red electric light, bursting out layer after layer, with a thick smoke and dust accumulating into a huge fireball, dragging the dust tail and smashing down into the dense forest.

In winter, the leaves of the tall arbor trees had fallen, so it was clear how the trees were broken by the force of the fireball as it crashed to the ground, and fell into the huge pit it had smashed into, and then began to hiss and burn with the moisture of the rain.

In this way, the fire burned for three days and three nights, and the crater and its surroundings were burned to the ground, leaving only a scorched earth.

Three days later, when the fire gradually went out, something strange happened, there was no trace of a meteorite in the pit, but a small thing covered in charred mud could be seen that it was unable to see its true face, and it was constantly wriggling.

Not only that, but it emitted a weak baby cry.

A few more days passed, and it rained again in the mountains and forests.

The ashes on the body of the little thing in the deep pit were washed down by the rain at this time, and it was indeed a white and tender baby, his body was naked, but there was a water bell hanging from his neck.

When the rain stopped, the baby rolled twice in the mud, and soon his body was wrapped in mud again, which helped him to put on a coat of warmth.

But even if he didn't freeze to death, he was already so hungry that he couldn't cry anymore, his breath was held in his throat and he couldn't spit it out, and his whole body began to convulse.

At this time, in the dim twilight, a rapid wolf howl came, and several gray wolf shadows jumped out of the old woods, ran to the edge of the deep pit and stood still. They stared at the baby, their eyes glowing with green greed, and they were quiet for a moment, then they all howled together again.

So more hungry wolves were summoned and, together with their companions who arrived first, poked their heads into the pit for the baby.

Instinctively sensing the danger, the infant stopped struggling and remained motionless, but the cunning wolves were not deceived by him, and three of them began to try to walk down the slope of the pit.

Suddenly, a huge she-wolf rushed out of the group and ran directly down the pit, but because of the speed was too fast, her body was unsteady on her feet, and she rolled to the baby's side twice in a row, and collided with him fiercely.

The baby was hit by a wolf, stunned, and couldn't help but start crying again.

This time, in order to express his fear, he tried all his strength, and finally let out a few real cries, which caused the fallen she-wolf to turn her head to look at him, and her gray eyes showed not greed, but pity.

The she-wolf's behavior startled the whole pack, but after a moment they seemed to understand something, and they all let out a warning roar at it, and the three halfway down the slope rushed to it and stared at it viciously.

Undenied the threat of her companions, the she-wolf leaped up from the ground, holding the baby behind her, her front hooves scratching at the mud, as if ready to resist their attack.

Finally, the wolves could not resist the temptation of the food in front of them, and bared their sharp fangs and pounced on it.

The she-wolf dodged left and right twice to avoid two attacks, but when the third wolf arrived, it could no longer dodge, and was slashed across the cheek with a fierce claw, and suddenly blood gushed out, and it screamed in severe pain and almost stood unsteadily, and the other two saw it take advantage of the weakness to enter, one left and one right, and bit its back.

The she-wolf couldn't bear the pain, and let out a miserable howl and jumped and pounced hard, trying hard to get rid of the two wolves, but unfortunately, even if its body was huge, it could not resist the simultaneous attack of the three wolves, and it seemed that it had been torn and dying by them.

At this moment, the wolves standing on top of the pit flashed to both sides as if they had heard some command, and an extremely strong male wolf stepped out of the group, which was the leader of the team.

The male wolf howled twice, as if giving an order, and when the three wolves in the pit heard it, they hesitated, but honestly let go of the she-wolf, and stood aside unwillingly.

At this time, the bottom of the pit had been stained red with the blood of the she-wolf, and the baby felt that it was protecting itself, so it stopped its useless struggle and lay motionless behind it.

The male wolf walked majestically to the edge of the pit and looked down, and when he looked at the she-wolf, there was a trace of helpless pity in his eyes.

The she-wolf met her gaze, her ferocity gradually subsided, and her eyes were full of tears in the blink of an eye.

The male wolf hung his head sadly, as if thinking.

After a long time, it raised its head, but no longer looked at the she-wolf, and let out a long howl to the sky. The entire wolf pack, along with the three in the pit, couldn't help but be stunned when they heard it, and most of the members showed dissatisfaction and incomprehension in their eyes. But they still did not dare to disobey the order of the head wolf, and when the head wolf turned and walked back into the forest, they left after him.

The three wolves, who were already about to succeed, saw that the wolf had made up their minds and could not change their minds, so they glared angrily at the seriously injured she-wolf, and ran up the pit with their long broom-like tails, and disappeared in a blink of an eye.

The wolves were gone, and in the dead silence, the tears in the eyes of the she-wolf finally fell down along the gray hair, and the sad eyes showed a deep reluctance.

The crisis was lifted, and the baby's little hands and feet began to wave again, because the hunger breath was getting weaker and weaker. Seeing this, the she-wolf couldn't help herself, and hurriedly leaned down and stuffed her swollen nipples/head into his mouth.

As soon as the baby's mouth catches the nipple/head, it sucks hungrily.

After eating, he couldn't help but feel sleepy, and fell asleep with a quiet smile on his face, while the she-wolf lying on the ground on the side had long since lost her life.

At this time, a woman in white appeared not far away, stood for a moment, and then slowly walked towards this side. She has a slender posture, a clear temperament like a fairy, and her long ink-like hair is blown up by the wind, covering her face.

The woman in white stood beside the pit for a long time, suddenly bent down, reached out and stroked the body of the she-wolf that was still holding the baby, the white tender jade palm was attached to her heavy fur, and a little light appeared in the palm of the hand, and it disappeared into its body in an instant.

Looking at it again, the she-wolf's chest gradually rose and fell, and her cold body gradually warmed up.

A barely visible smile flashed across the woman's face, and she gently picked up the baby, carefully placed him in the crook of her arm, and touched the small bell hanging from his neck, not caring for the white clothes stained with mud. She raised her jade palm again to secretly use her mana, and the she-wolf's body was gently thrown aside, and the huge pit was instantly smoothed out by the surging soil, leaving no trace.
