After lunch, Osmanthus took a nap as usual.

And Ling Chenyi naturally accompanied his wife and baby son to take a nap as usual.

It's just that the difference is that today's nap didn't go very smoothly, because Osmanthus was interrogating Ling Chenyi about Ling Weiqi.

"What the hell is going on, you hurry up and sue me." Osmanthus was really tormented by curiosity.

When he was eating just now, Ling Weiqi looked like a wronged little daughter-in-law, obviously he had something to say, but he couldn't say a word, and he didn't even have the courage to look at Ling Chenyi.

"Actually, it's nothing, it's just that he started to get in touch with the court." Ling Chenyi sat on the edge of the bed and gently kneaded the calf of Osmanthus Hua.

Although the comfort from her legs made Osmanthus can't help but want to yawn, she still held up her spirit and asked, "It can't be as simple as that." Wei Qi had long known that he was also going to enter the official career, and didn't he start to contact the affairs of the imperial court a long time ago? Why haven't I seen him react like this before? ”

Want to lie to her? No way!

Although Osmanthus was sleepy, she still insisted on finding out the truth of the matter.

Ling Chenyi saw that Osmanthus was so sleepy that she couldn't open her eyes, but she still refused to sleep, and she couldn't help but feel distressed in her heart, so she confessed: "Silly girl, sue you, I transferred my position to him." And the emperor also decided this morning to choose an auspicious day to succeed Wei Qi to his knees and become the prince. As for the crown prince, he plans to wait until after Wei Qi's wedding. ”

"Huh?" Ling Chenyi's words made Osmanthus drowsiness disappear in an instant, "You mean, Wei Qi will be the prince in the future, or even the crown prince?" ”

"Hmm." Ling Chenyi nodded while continuing to knead his calves for Osmanthus, "The emperor's health has been getting worse and worse in the past two days, although it looks good at the moment, but the position of the prince can't always be vacant." Many people in the court are thinking of sending people to the palace, hoping to give birth to a prince for the emperor, but the emperor's body is there, and it is impossible to add heirs to the palace. ”

At the mention of this, Osmanthus couldn't help frowning slightly.

Regarding the emperor's affairs, Osmanthus also heard something from Ling Chenyi.

One of the most shocking is that the current emperor has lost his fertility.

For the king of a country, such an illness can be said to be worse than death.

This disease cannot be said, and once it is spoken, it will definitely shake the society of the country.

If you don't say it, then there is no way to convict those concubines who are already pregnant with children.

As the emperor of the world, the top of his head is green, and he is obviously the one who should be angry the most, but now it has become a situation where he has to swallow it in his stomach even if he crushes his teeth.

It is precisely because of this relationship that the emperor was so decisive in the matter of abolishing the crown prince.

Come to think of it, how can your own country be handed over to a wild seed who has no blood relationship with you?

The emperor also has other brothers, but they don't have much contact, their feelings are not deep, and the others are not handsome and talented, so they are not enough to take on the important responsibility of the king of a country.

After such calculations, Ling Chenyi's nephew was put in the position of inheriting the throne.

Otherwise, in the matter of inheriting the throne, how could it be possible to let relatives with foreign surnames take over?

Now that Ling Chenyi has made it clear that he will not inherit the throne, the vacant position of the successor will naturally have to choose another person who can reassure the emperor to sit.

The four brothers of the Ling Mansion are all the best candidates, but because of the relationship between the relatives, in the end, only one Ling Weiqi, who has not yet married, became the best candidate
