Once the loading and unloading equipment is in place, all that remains is the installation of the concentrator. The Ministry of Metallurgical Industry has installed a set of concentrator equipment brought from the old time and space in Lingao. In order to save shipping tonnage and accumulate experience for the future manufacture of metallurgical machinery, it was finally decided to install a set of self-made mineral processing equipment in Sanya.

The concentrator infrastructure was completed a few years ago. The jishu of the concentrator is not complicated. The General Machinery Plant has accumulated some experience in the manufacture of mineral processing equipment -- in the past, a coal preparation plant has been built for the Jiazi Coal Mine.

A concentrator plant is a bit more complex than a coal washing plant. Jishu requirements are also high, because the crossing group can not manufacture large-scale electromagnets, magnetic beneficiation is completely impossible, and the concentrator can only be based on Jishu's simple hydraulic jigging beneficiation method. This process has relatively low requirements for the jishu of the equipment.

In order to facilitate smelting, iron ore is screened before being shipped to the steel mill. The purpose of screening is to improve the efficiency of smelting, increase the iron production ratio, and improve the efficiency of coal use. Iron ore with an iron content of more than 65% can directly enter the open-hearth steelmaking, more than 45% is used for blast furnace ironmaking, and less than 45% of the ore must be screened, crushed and sintered to increase the iron content of the ore to more than 45% before ironmaking. Less than 25% is a poor mine, and it is generally discarded. One of the characteristics of China's iron ore is that there are many poor ores, so iron and steel companies generally have to import iron ore. The imported iron ore is basically the concentrate powder that has been processed by the concentrator.

The ores of Tiandu and Shilu belong to rich ores, and the requirements for improving the iron content through screening ores are not high, and the concentrator is mainly based on ore crushing and classification. Whether it is an open-hearth furnace or a blast furnace, the iron ore needs to be crushed to a certain particle size to make full use. The ore particles must be fine and consistent in size to increase the yield of steel.

Sanya's concentrator is located in Tiandu Town, where the Tianduhe Mining Bureau is located, which is convenient for the nearby use of the water source of the Tianduhe Reservoir: the jigging method requires a large amount of water: about 3000~4000 liters of water per 1 ton of ore is processed, which is a large consumer of water resources. Therefore, the concentrator plant is also equipped with a water recycling system. Includes drainage channels, tertiary sedimentation tanks, filtration tanks and pumping equipment. Beneficiation mainly uses the buoyancy of water, which does not have high requirements for water quality itself, and can use simple treatment of circulating wastewater.

After the ore is delivered to the concentrator by rail car, it is first crushed. Crushing is carried out three times, coarse, medium and fine. Finally, the iron ore is crushed into 5~10mm ore particles. The ore is first poured into a cylindrical pulverizer. The principle of the crusher is very simple, a large cylinder, many cast iron bars are installed in the cylinder, and the cylinder rotates at high speed under the drive of the belt to smash the iron ore in the cylinder. The crushing rods inside the crusher are available in different sizes and can be resized by replacement. However, in order to meet the requirements of continuous production, the concentrator uses a special crusher for each process to save the time consumed in replacing the crushing rod.

After each crushing, the ore must be poured into the vibrating screening machine, through the vibration screening, the crushed ore particles are separated, and the ore that meets the standards for entering the next process is poured into the second crusher, and cannot be poured back into the coarse crusher through the sieve hole to continue processing.

After the three crushings, the ore is poured into the screw separator for beneficiation. The screw separator is very efficient in processing ore, with a recovery rate of 96% for metal ore - and with very little labour intensity. The shape of the spiral separator resembles a spiral slide in a park. The principle is: under the action of water, the ore flows along the spiral line due to gravity, due to friction and centrifugal force, the relatively light waste rock particles move close to the outer edge of the spiral groove, and the heavy ore moves along the inner line Xiangxia. At a certain point, the ore particles are discharged by an interceptor mounted on the inner edge of the spiral tank.

After the screw separator, it comes out of the middle mine. After being treated by a hydraulic screen, the mine is treated with a shaker, and the concentrate is obtained. As for the medium mine, it itself can be used to repeat jigging processing.

The entire concentrator is equipped with jigs, vibrating screens, screw separators, pulverizers, hydraulic screens and water shakers, and a 20 cubic meter volume ore sintering furnace is being built to sinter the ore powder. After testing, the entire concentrator plant can process 30 tons of ore per hour. Due to the relative simplicity of the equipment, it is easy to expand the treatment capacity as long as sufficient water is available.

The waves crash against the reef along the coast of the Mayu Peninsula, and several medium-sized and small hair boats are moored in the small bays on the shore, undulating with the waves. The land here is barren, full of weeds and bare red earth. A few trees swayed in the sea breeze. There are no rice fields on both sides of the Wenlan River on the Mayuan Peninsula, and a few dry fields are dotted between large tracts of undeveloped wasteland, which is the so-called "Jinpai Port Economic Development Zone" in the old time and space, which belongs to the economic development zone of Hainan Province. However, in the old time and space, despite the name of Geely, the gold medal development zone is still struggling, and a series of large-scale projects such as the 89-year-old ro-ro terminal project and the 93-year-old 6 million tons annual oil refining project have not been settled here. At the beginning of the 21st century, it was only a reserve of industrial land.

In this time and space, the Planning Institute positioned this place as the future Lingao Heavy Industry Zone, and because the Red Card Development Zone has been stumbling in the old time and space, the Planning Institute finally named this place "Ma Yuan Industrial Zone".

Originally, for safety reasons, the iron and steel and heavy chemical enterprises that crossed the group were generally located in the Wenlan River estuary area and outside Bairen City. That is, limited by the available land area - most of the paddy fields along the river have been developed for many years, and it is a waste for agriculture to use them as industrial areas, and the construction of rice field foundations is also cumbersome - the development potential is limited, and there are increasing problems of water and air pollution. In the plan, the Planning Institute will gradually transfer the large-scale production bases of the steel and chemical industries to the development zone of the Mayuan Peninsula.

After the Battle of Chengmai, the Shili of the Senate expanded to the entire island of Hainan, and the Mayuan Peninsula, which was originally close to the front line, became the core area of the Lingao regime. The commune of Ma Yuan belongs to the "tried and tested"; The sea control of the Qiongzhou Strait was controlled by the navy, and the army base of the Fubo Army was located in the commune of Ma Yuan. The safety of the newly built steel and heavy chemical industrial zones is reliably guaranteed.

The Mayuan Peninsula is surrounded by the sea on three sides, bordering Hongpai Port in the east and the Qiongzhou Strait in the north, 65 kilometers away from Haikou Weisuo and 12 kilometers away from Lingao County. The development zone planned by the construction company is composed of two groups in the east and west, with a planned area of 20.5 square kilometers. The land here is open and flat, mostly dryland, with only a few paddy fields. The infrastructure conditions are good. The total permanent population of the area is only about 1,000 salt workers and their families in the commune of Ma Yuan, and there are no settlements that need to be relocated in large numbers. It is suitable for large-scale industrial areas that can be developed in patches.

The development zone itself has a natural harbor called the Red Plate Port, with a total coastline of about 16.5 kilometers. There are certain conditions for the establishment of a port. The road construction carried out by the Planning Institute in Lingao Prefecture has been completed: "Small Cross Road" Jihua has been completed. At that time, the Bopu-Mayuan Highway, which was urgently started in preparation for the war, was paved day and night under the construction of thousands of prisoners of war laborers. The transportation link of the development and construction of industrial zones has been preliminarily resolved.

According to Jihua, the third phase of the expansion of the steel industry was supposed to start in April 1630, but during this period, due to the impact of the Battle of Chengmai, it was in a state of semi-stoppage, but the construction resumed as soon as the war ended. Thanks to the dividends of the war - a large number of captive laborers were put into use, and the project barely caught up with the schedule. As the Fubo army began to occupy the entire Hainan Island, the authority was within its reach, and the collection and transportation of many materials was greatly accelerated, especially the large amount of timber needed for construction, and the supply began to be sufficient.

Ji Wusheng wore a dusty, black overalls, standing on a small hill made of waste soil and looking down on the entire steel complex construction site. In the future, the Ma Yuan Iron and Steel Consortium will rise in this barren land. This is the temporary construction headquarters: the temporary container house is located on the tamped flat ground at the top of the hill. The blades of the wind turbine and anemometer rotate rapidly in the sea breeze.

Below the hillside is a temporary shed, dedicated to the residence of jishu workers. The chimney of a boiler is smoking, providing hot water and hot meals for the entire site. Drinking water is delivered by tankers pulled by ox carts from the waterworks at the Mayuan base, a few kilometres away. There, the water from the Mayuan River is purified and brought here to be boiled before it is safe to eat.

The laborers of the project came from the prisoners in the second anti-encirclement and suppression operation, and also included the "special laborers" captured in the public security battles in Danzhou, Chengmai, Wenchang, Qiongshan and other places. All of them lived in the prisoner camp at the Mayuan Army Base, and came to work on the construction site as a squadron every day. The other part came from the communes "sent laborers" and directly recruited laborers, who participated in the construction for a short period of time by applying for labor and earning remuneration, which became an important source of income for the local peasants.

Construction materials from various factories are piled up in the stockpile: bundles of steel bars and bamboo bars used to cast concrete; profiles for steel and wrought iron; various specifications of construction timber and bamboo; stacks of red bricks and tiles; countless bags of cement stacked under a canopy; rows of two-wheeled dump trolleys; Refractory bricks from the bitter brine plant of the Mayuan Salt Works......

Workers are building transport lanes and laying makeshift freight tracks - transporting tons of goods to every jobsite. Five or six mobile pot camel machines spray black smoke and white gas, providing power for cranes, pile drivers, mixers and other locally produced construction machinery, the snorting of pile drivers, the creaking of cranes and the roar of mixers are mixed together.
