Chapter 74: The Puzzle (39)
I locked the door, sat back on the edge of the bed and pulled out my MP443. After checking the magazine and not confirming that there was no problem, he put the magazine back and put the gun directly on the head of the bed. This place is not safe for me, and perhaps my enemy is in the room next to me.
Maybe it was because I hadn't rested all night, but soon after sitting down, a feeling of exhaustion quickly hit me. Although my shoulder still hurt, I leaned against the head of the bed and fell asleep in a daze.
When I woke up again, I was woken up by a knock on the door. I stood up and picked up my gun and said, "Who is it?" ”
"It's me. It's past noon, would you like something to eat? The dentist's voice came in from outside.
I came to the door and opened it to look at it. The dentist stood in front of the door, spread his hands and whispered, "Do you want to check if I have a gun?" As he spoke, he spun in a circle.
"Come in." I put away my gun, opened the door, and let him in.
He came in and walked straight to Christovich's bed and checked the bottles, "It's all empty. Are you asleep? ”
"Yes. . . I was asleep. I was a little ashamed.
"What do you want to eat?" The dentist asked.
"Whatever." I shook my head, "Bread or something." ”
The dentist nodded, "I'll send you some later." With that, he turned around and walked out, and closed the door.
I quickly came to the door and leaned against the door to listen, and instead of going to another room, the guy walked straight to the other side of the passage, which was the direction of his workplace.
I went to both sides of the wall again and listened, but there was still no movement on either side. I continued to sit back on the edge of the bed, could it be that I was overthinking? After about ten minutes, the dentist returned again, this time bringing not only food but also other hanging bottles for Christovich.
"Cereal, bacon, bread. Would you like some wine? The dentist asked.
"It's nice to have something to eat. There is no need for wine. "I picked up the bread and bacon and ate it.
The dentist seemed pleased that I didn't drink, and he smiled and said, "It's a good habit not to drink." He said as he gave Christovic a drip, and then he looked at me as I was eating, "When you're done, put it at the door, and I'll clean it up then." Have a nice meal. By the way, remember not to wander around. The door is locked. Then he turned and walked out and closed the door.
I quickly finished the bread and bacon, and drank some cereal. To be honest, I'm not used to eating these things, but some of them are always good, especially when I'm hungry. I put the plates and bowls away, and just as I was about to put them to the door, I noticed footsteps outside.
It was the dentist's footsteps, and he was walking towards the back door where we had entered. I remembered the scene outside the door when we came in, it was a backlit unobtrusive place, could it be that there was a new patient coming?
I put down what I was doing and listened quietly. After a while, there was the sound of the door closing, the sound of the door closing was not loud, but it could be heard as the sound of the door closing. Then there were two footsteps, one of which was supposed to be the dentist's, and the other was very soft, and the man walked in with the dentist, and the footsteps came closer and closer, and then walked past my door and stopped in front of the door next to me. The dentist and the man didn't speak all the way, just walked over quietly.
After a while, there was the sound of the door opening, and then the door closed, and the dentist's footsteps sounded again, and he walked past me.
I gently went to the wall and began to listen, but after listening for a while I gave up because I didn't hear anything. It's like there's no one over there.

p; I sat back on the edge of the bed, who the hell was there? Nine times out of ten, he was also a person with a serious gunshot wound who couldn't leave here. The dentist was supposed to have come to see his injured companion. This guy has very light steps, it should be deliberately light, and he doesn't want to attract the attention of others.
Moments after the man entered the room, the dentist's footsteps rang out. Then he walked past my door to the door of the next room. Then there was the sound of the door opening, and the dentist's footsteps disappeared. It seems to have walked next door.
I hurried to the wall and began to listen, and after a few moments there was a noise from the other side, but it was too faint to hear. But someone is talking. Not much to say, like asking and answering. After a while, the door of the other party's room opened again, and then the dentist's footsteps came, this time the footsteps were noticeably faster, and quickly disappeared on the other side of the aisle. From the sound of the footsteps, it sounds like something is wrong with the person lying next door.
After about three or four minutes, there was movement again on the other side of the aisle, and the dentist seemed to be pushing a cart. Because I heard the wheels, and there was something tinkling because of the bumps hitting each other.
The sounds passed in front of my door, then into the next house, and then the sound of the door closing. I went to the door of my room and gently opened it. I decided to go over and listen, I wanted to know if it was our enemy, not the best, but if it was, hehe, it's still your life-or-death moment.
I walked out of the room softly and closed the door with my backhand, but I didn't close it, just covered it up, because I was afraid that after closing the door, there would be a noise that would alarm the person next door.
After closing the door, I leaned against the wall opposite us and walked softly. A few moments later, I came to the door of this room. I looked at the window on the door, and the light was on. I continued to move forward a few steps, and by now I could already hear some movement coming from inside, presumably the dentist was doing something about it.
I continued on, to the other side of the door, and then I came to the door and listened quietly to the movement inside. After a while, the voice of a man speaking from inside was heard.
"Will he die?" From both the content and the sound, it can be judged that it was not the dentist who said it, but another man. Although it was very soft, I still heard what he said. And most importantly, the Russian language spoken by this man. That's right, it's Russian, there is no accent, there is no Ukrainian flavor in it.
This undoubtedly indicates that the speaker is not a local, but an outsider, and that the alien is likely to be from another country. He doesn't speak a Ukrainian accent, but he speaks relatively common Russian. And one more thing, which was pretty much what I expected, next door was a seriously wounded man.
The dentist didn't answer him, but whispered, "Don't talk." I'll tell you what I need to tell you. ”
I slowly retracted to the wall across the door, and crept back into my room, closing the door softly as I entered. Immediately after, I took out my phone...
