Chapter 179: Dead and Wounded
The moment I first heard the voice, I thought I was finished, but just as I was about to fight to the death, I caught sight of the figure behind me.
"Police?" I didn't just whisper. I saw their uniforms and pistols in their hands, and I realized the man's shouting. Shouting is a very important signal at this moment, because the gunmen who came to plot against us will not shout when they see me, I should be hearing gunshots.
"Kneel on the ground, hold your head with your hands high, hurry up." Another policeman's voice rang out.
I glanced at the passage into the parking lot, and someone was sure to be coming in at any moment, and the guy next to me had contacted before, but now I couldn't tell the cops everything, and I had to do what they said, or I'd die at the hands of the police before the gunman killed him.
I slowly knelt on the ground and clasped my hands on my head. Soon two policemen approached me. I glanced at them, and one of them looked around and said, "Is this the battlefield?" So many people died? β
"There's a gang of attackers here, and they beat people when they see them." I spoke.
"Shut up! Who knows if you're the one you say you are? He looked at my face as he spoke, "Foreigner? Do you have proof of identity? β
"What I said is true. Can we get out of here first? As soon as I finished speaking, I saw a figure flickering in the passage, and I immediately shouted, "Hide." β
"Da Da Da" "Da Da Da" dense bullets flew over, one of the policemen could not reach the self-defense and fell down several times, while the other was also hit but injured.
I lay on the ground and quickly touched the MP5K next to me and fired back at the other party, and then quickly fell backwards. The wounded policeman couldn't take care of me anymore at the moment, and he took his pistol and started shooting.
"Get out of here. You are no match for them. I shouted as I picked up my pace.
The policeman ignored me, just fired his gun and used his communicator to call for backup. But before he could scream, he was shot by the men who were quickly outflanking.
I took advantage of the gap between the other party's attention and the police, and climbed into the nearest elevator hall, and after entering the elevator room, I quickly stood up against the wall, and I looked at the elevator, probably now the whole building has entered a state of emergency, and the elevators have stopped. I limped into the stairwell of the safe passage instead of leaning against the wall, and just as I walked into the stairwell, there was movement from outside my elevator.
I quickened my pace, although I didn't see how many of them came this time, but judging from the gunfire just now, there were at least two, and these two people were very sure that they would kill me. I've got to get out of here as fast as I can. Just as I was about to reach the staircase on the first floor, a bullet came down the staircase. I ignored it, and even though the bullets flew past me, and some felt like they almost hit me, I had to keep running as long as I didn't get hit.
I gritted my teeth and rushed into the first-floor hall. It's a shopping mall, but it's empty. Near the front gate, I saw several corpses. I quickened my pace, paying attention to the movement around me as I went.
"Hey! Here, here! A voice came. I followed the sound and looked over to the counter near a pillar in the center of the hall, where a man was waving at me.
"Petkovic?!" I recognized the man, why didn't this guy leave here?
I limped over quickly, and as I walked over, he pulled me down. I noticed a man sitting next to him, a sweaty and nervous face, with a pistol in his hand. And next to this guy, there is a person lying who should have died of his breath.
"What's going on? Why didn't you go? What about the others? I asked.
Petkovic smiled bitterly and said, "We were about to go out after we came up, but as soon as we got out of the gate, the other party's people had already copied from outside. As he spoke, he pointed to the corpses near the gate, "Lukak was hit, and I was going to drag him away, but he couldn't make it, and then the others continued on, rushing out in the chaos of the crowd. β
I looked at the man lying next to me, who was supposed to be Petkovic's Lukak. I've met this guy, he was there the last time Petkovic and we met at the market. I looked at the sweaty, nervous man next to Petkovic, who was in uniform but different from the police I had seen before.
"He's a security guard here. There were a few of his colleagues lying there in the doorway. "We were about to get out of here and try our luck and rush out, but we heard gunshots and movement coming from there. β
I listened to him as I looked in the direction of the safe exit I came out of. After a while, there was movement. A muzzle appears first in the field of view. I immediately motioned for Petkovic to be quiet and pointed him in the right direction.
Petkovic slowly got up and showed his head to look in the direction I was pointing, and from my direction at the moment, the number of opponents quickly reached three. Three more people, how many people are in this gang? I slowly raised my gun, and Petkovic began to aim as well.
Just as we were about to pull the trigger, the three men suddenly seemed to have received some instructions. At the same time, he stopped moving forward, and then quickly retreated towards the safety of the passage.
I watched them leave, and Petkovic next to me let out a long sigh of relief. I whispered, "What about Milic's people?" Where are the men he has gathered? β
"Maybe they're all dead." Petkovic said and looked at Lukak, who was lying there, "It's hard for us to get out this time. β
As he spoke, I heard the sound of a telephone. I looked at the security guard next to me, "Is this your comms?" Can this contact people from outside? β
"Don't count on that." Petkovic said and glanced at the security guard, "I've been in touch before. A large number of police officers are said to be coming. β
"Let's get out of here, then." I said.
Petkovic looked out of the gate, "Maybe there's a gunman on the other side outside the gate." The other party was outflanked from the outside before. β
As he spoke, gunshots were heard from outside the mall. The sound of the gunshot sounded some distance away from us. Not on this street outside the gate, it should be a little farther away. Listening to the sound of gunfire, it is the sound of AKM. It's likely that the old guy Younis and they were caught up, which means that they still didn't get rid of the other party's pursuit.
I looked at Petkovic, "I'll go out first, we have to get out of here, and often it's better not to count on it." When I came up, I was met by two policemen, but they are both dead now, the same person I just saw, and the police don't even have a chance to fight back. β
Petkovic also understands that the police cannot be counted on. Not to mention the weapons and equipment, the quality of the personnel of these people who attacked us is much better than that of the police.
"I've got my people coming here. It will take some time, though. "I don't think these guys will keep chasing us, as long as we delay, they will definitely withdraw themselves." β
Petkovic is right, this is Serbia, for this group of attackers is operating in hostile territory, and if they can't get in and out quickly, they will probably be surrounded and never be able to get out.
"Not bad. But we can't let them bite other people and hide here themselves. I said as I walked to the gate.
I looked out and there was no one on the street at the moment. After a quick glance, I looked at Petkovic, "Come here." We went straight across the street and followed the gunshots. β
Petkovic nodded, looking at the security guard next to him, "Man, stay here and don't move. They shouldn't be coming back, good luck. With that, he looked at Lukak again and walked over to me.
I walked out of the mall quickly, and outside the mall, the traces of the firefight could be seen in many places. There were bullet casings on the ground, blood stains scattered on the ground, and two bodies lying on the ground. There was a police car on the side of the road that had not been turned off, probably the two policemen.
I crossed the road following the blood trail on the ground, and soon entered an alley opposite, and not far into the box, I saw a corpse. This is a Kostic guy I've seen in a restaurant or something before. Petkovic and I continued to move forward, and the sound of gunfire became clearer and clearer. When we reached the end of the alley, suddenly there were gunshots and shouts from people in the street outside the alley.
"This should be your own person." Petkovic said, "Go ahead and see. β
We came to the entrance of the alley, and I looked sideways to see four or five men in civilian clothes with AKMs shooting at a building. And in that building, someone was returning fire, and judging by the weapons that returned fire, it was the gunmen who attacked us.
"I know that man." Petkovic shouted at the other one as he spoke, and the man quickly turned to look at us, and it was a good thing that he quickly recognized Petkovic, otherwise he would have been shot.
"Sir. Why are you here? What about Mr. Milic and Mr. Kostic? The man asked.
"Dead. All dead. That's what these MP5K guys did. How many of you are left? How many people are there? Petkovic asked.
The man couldn't accept it for a moment when he heard that Milic and Kostic were dead, and he replied a little absent-mindedly: "It was Mr. Milic who said that something had happened and asked us to come over, and there are only a few people left in my team, and the people who exchanged fire with us retreated all the way here." β
I shook my head, this guy wasn't right. The other party is not retreating here. Judging from the traces and corpses on the road, the old guy is coming in this direction, and the other party must have been coordinating with each other, moving all the way here, and it is possible that they want to concentrate their forces here for a fierce attack.
Just as I was about to speak, I saw several figures flash out of a fork in the street or some exit from the street, and as soon as they appeared, fire flashed in their handsγγγγγ
This one.. Old, I'm tired of writing when I say it... Write all people to death. One said that he couldn't accept it and was confused. First of all, it's not that I'm tired of writing, I said a long time ago that this big chapter will kill a lot of people, and secondly, my story has always been more tragic. And this time it shouldn't be written very abruptly, the previous foreshadowing should be buried. Waldette's betrayal, and his last words. The old guy summoned Berezov to help, and this showed that danger was already in front of him. I was going to write a more tragic point.γγγ But it's better to think about it. In the end, guess who else is going to be heroic?
