Chapter 308: Bao Fu
Bao Nu, an old bastard, stays at home, plotting how to destroy all day long, this garbage as a clown who advocates violence and hates the poor and loves the rich has long been worthless in the minds of Tang Zhangwei and Bao Ziyu. However, because of his blood relationship, Bao Ziyu had to be in the same room with this demon temporarily
Actually, this guy is Bao Ziyu's nightmare.
Before Tang Zhangwei saw Bao Nu, he would not have thought that someone would have such a stiff quarrel with his father.
However, after seeing Bao Nu, he deeply felt that some people are indeed unworthy of being parents.
Bao Nu is such a person who is not worthy of being a parent, this bastard is a waste of food to live in this world, maybe his death will make everyone feel happier.
Bao Nu always said that he had done so much work and contribution, and the key problem was that people didn't feel it at all.
Richard was startled and sober. The warm midday sun filled the room, and the wonderful, enticing aroma of broth filled his lungs. Zod's house has Richard's own room, and he sleeps in this room now. He looked up at the familiar scars on the wooden wall, and they looked back at him as well. The door to the vestibule was closed. The chair next to the bed was empty. He sat up and pushed the covers away, finding that he was still wearing dirty clothes. He felt the teeth under his shirt and sighed reassuring to find it safely in its place. A short stick opened the window a few inches, letting in fresh air and Karen's laughter. Zod must be telling a story, he thought. Richard looked at his left hand. Once bandaged, even bent fingers don't hurt. His head no longer hurts. Actually, he felt great. Hungry, but feeling great. He corrected himself, dirty, hungry but feeling great.
A basin of bath water, a bar of soap and a clean towel were placed in the middle of the cottage. His clean forest outfit was neatly stacked on top of his chairs. Bath water looks so tempting. He reached out and tested the temperature of the water and found it was just right.
Zod must have deduced when he would wake up. Based on his familiarity with Zod, this doesn't surprise him.
Richard took off his clothes and slipped into the tempting bathtub. The soap smells almost as good as broth. He was more than willing to take a good dip in the tub, but he felt too awake and wanted to go out and stay with the two of them. After unbandaging the wound, he was surprised to find that the wound had almost healed after one night.
When he came out, Karen and Zod were sitting at the table waiting for him. He noticed that Karen's clothes had just been washed and she looked like she had been bathed. Her hair was clean and shimmering in the sun. Green eyes looked at him as if glowing. A large bowl of broth for him was placed next to her, along with some fresh bread and cheese.
"I didn't expect that I would sleep until noon." He said, lifting his leg over the bench. Both laughed. Richard looked at them quizzically.
Karen put away her smile. "It's the second noon you've ever slept, Richard."
"Yes," echoed Zod, "you slept through the first unconscious. How does it feel? How's your hand? ”
"It feels great. Thank you, Zod. Thank you. He craned his fingers to indicate that the injury was no longer serious. The hands are also much better, except for a little itching. ”
"My mother always said that if the wound is itchy, it means it's about to heal."
Richard smiled at her. "My mother said the same thing." He scooped up some potatoes and mushrooms and tasted them. "Just as good as I did." He said to her sincerely.
She sat on the long board, her face facing him, her elbows propped up on the table, her palms resting on her chin. She smiled. "That's not what Zod thinks."
Richard glanced reproachfully at Zod, who looked up at the sky with an exaggerated expression. Would he still say that now? The next time he begs me to make broth, I'll remind him. ”
"Frankly," she whispered, but enough for Zod to hear, "I think if someone brought him a plate of clay, he would eat it." ”
Richard laughed out loud. "You can see that you're starting to get to know him."
"I'll tell you, Richard," the old man stretched out a thin finger, as if unwilling to keep them the subject of a joke. "She can make the earth taste very tasty. You have to learn like her. ”
Richard broke off a loaf of bread and dipped it into the broth. He knew that the joke was just a way for him to loosen the tension he felt, and it was also a way for them to kill time before they waited for him to finish eating. Karen had promised her that she would let Richard ask for Zod's help first, and it was clear that she had kept their agreement. Zod's way of acting is to pretend to be inattentive and innocent, and wait for you to ask questions first so that he can better determine what you already know. But today, Richard can no longer play this game with him. Today, everything is different.
"But there's one thing I can't trust her." Zod's tone was cold and hostile.
Richard's chewing was discontinued. He didn't dare look up at any of them.
"She doesn't like cheese! I don't think I would trust anyone who doesn't like cheese. This is contrary to the laws of nature. ”
Richard relaxed. Zod was just teasing his nerves, as he often declared. His old friend seemed very knack for making him relax, and he liked it. Richard peeked at Zod and saw him sitting there with an innocent look on his face. Richard couldn't help but laugh. Zod chewed on a slice of cheese to make his point. Karen chewed a slice of bread to make her point. The bread tastes very tasty. When Richard pointed this out, Karen smiled happily.
When Richard was almost done eating, he thought it was time to turn the conversation to business. "What about the next quadripartite group? Are there any signs of them? ”
"Nope. I was worried, but Zod took a look at the clouds for me and told me that since they weren't there, they must be in some kind of trouble. ”
He glanced at Zod. "Is that so?"
"Truth is like roasting a toad." Ever since Richard was a child, Zod used this humorous expression to let Richard know that he could believe what he said without reservation. Richard imagined the troubles that the various quad groups might have.
For better or for worse, he succeeded in changing the mood at the table. He felt Karen waiting impatiently for him to ask the old man to help find the magician as agreed, and he also felt Zord's impatience. Karen turned and sat down at the table, her hands on her lap, waiting.
