02. The history of the town
The miracle that happened to Chen Hao cannot be explained by science.
The doctors organized a consultation study, and in the end, they could only use the far-fetched discussion that "the immune system works to turn cancer cells into healthy cells, so the patient recovers". In fact, in the history of Chinese and foreign medicine, it is not uncommon for terminally ill patients who have been abandoned by doctors to overcome the disease by improving their own immunity.
God can send back a stupid son to Chen Tongzhong, who is in despair, and he finally didn't kill them all. A good home, after a disaster, he ended up crazy, stupid and in debt, every time he walked into the house, Chen Tongzhong's heart was still painful, but he was also content - as long as his stupid son can live forever in the future, he has nothing else to ask for in this life.
But the calm on the face does not mean that there are no waves in the heart, sometimes it is the accumulation before the violent outburst. While Chen Tongzhong was grateful for the gift of fate, he often felt frightened for no reason and broke out in a cold sweat. Subconsciously, there is always a voice saying to him, things are not that simple.
At this moment, he shut himself into his room, pulled out a dirty scrap of paper from the corner of a drawer, and looked at the light coming in through the window.
Sure enough, the black rope of bad luck did not let go of Chen Tongzhong's neck, but only postponed the time to tighten it.
When he came back from the town committee that afternoon and saw his wife cleaning up corn in the kitchen, Chen Tongzhong went over to help. Since the son was recovered, his wife's madness has also been alleviated a lot.
Although Chen Hao is stupid, he never squeaks and screams like other fools, he sits quietly every day, and no longer runs around. The only characteristic that can tell that he is sick in the brain is that when he looks at people, he is so blank that his face is so empty that he can't see how big it is. The numb and indifferent expression made people feel that he did not belong to this world at all, and all other senses were in a state of stagnation except for his eyes.
That day, he sat on the sofa in the hall and looked at the TV like a stone. This posture was maintained from morning to evening, regardless of whether the TV was on or off.
Chen Tongzhong was accustomed to this kind of grotesqueness he showed, and he didn't dare to care about it no matter how much he muttered in his heart, just because of the sense of crisis that often struck at that time.
Today is the same, except for glancing at the hall from time to time worriedly, and only letting go of the heart that is sure that there is nothing to hang, Chen Tongzhong's hand did not stop. Unexpectedly, when he looked down and looked up, he happened to see him fall down.
"Oops!"
Chen Tongzhong suddenly felt that something was wrong, and ran out of the kitchen as soon as he threw away the guy, but Chen Hao's eyes were open, and he had already swallowed his breath without saying a word.

Tell us about the history of Natalie's town.
According to the records of the Suifenhe Historical Museum, Natalie Town has been established since the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, when it was called Baisong Town, which belongs to the area under the jurisdiction of the Ningguta Deputy Capital of Jilin Province, and is a veritable century-old town.
In 1860, the Qing government signed the humiliating Sino-Russian Treaty of Beijing with Russia, opening the Suifen River as a border port. By 1903, after the opening of the entire line of the Eastern Railway, the wind of border trade culture of Britain, the United States, Japan, Russia and other countries blew along the ancient river into Baisong Town.
Five years later, the town of White Pine was renamed Natalie Town, but the residents of the town did not become much Westernized by the change of foreign name, and they still maintained a strong Chinese style.
At 10:20 p.m. on September 18, 1931, the Japanese Kwantung Army detonated explosives in the section of the Wicker Hunan-Manchurian Railway, blew up a section of tracks, and blamed the Northeast Army led by Zhang Xueliang. The 18th Incident broke out.
Because Zhang Xueliang mistakenly used the policy of non-resistance, the 8,000 people of the Northeast Army were defeated by the Japanese army of 300 people, and the city of Mukden fell in just one night, and the devils carrying the sun flag invaded the entire city-state like locusts.
On that day, the headquarters of the Kwantung Army could not wait to move here from Lushun and stationed in the Dongtuo Building in front of the central square.
One of the two culprits who planned the incident, Seishiro Itagaki of the Kwantung Army, quietly summoned a military doctor named Oda Masai into the underground vault before raising his troops and driving to Mukden, opened a black safe, and ordered him to quickly take the box out of the headquarters and rush to Natalie Town in Suifenhe City, where someone answered. This mission must be kept absolutely secret, and even the Japanese army must not disclose any information.
Oda Masayi seemed to have anticipated this order, and acted strictly according to the leader's orders, and disappeared into the night alone with the box.
Three days later, Seishiro Itagaki announced that Oda Masai was a traitor to the Kwantung Army who assisted the Northeast Army in blowing up the railroad and then absconded, and was later captured and killed in Harbin. However, no one has seen Oda's body, and the military says it has been destroyed by fire.
Instigated the Wicker Lake Incident and stormed the Northeast Army's Kita Camp, Itagaki and his accomplice Ishihara Waner did not obtain the approval of the Japanese Cabinet in advance, and acted purely privately, so Itagaki made a report on Oda's disappearance that was full of loopholes, and even the Japanese themselves did not believe it. However, this person has made a lot of achievements in the Japanese army and has a prominent reputation, so no one really cares about the life and death of a military doctor, so the matter is not settled soon after.
In 1948, Seishiro Itagaki was tried as a Class A war criminal at the International Military Tribunal for the Far East, and at this time, the whereabouts of Oda Masai began to attract attention again.
In the face of hundreds of pairs of questioning eyes, Itagaki still did not change his words, so this matter became a very suspenseful mystery in the court.
As a result of the trial, Itagaki was sentenced to death by hanging. The turning point came when he was about to be executed. With his back to the noose and facing the teacher, the bloodthirsty demon's lips quirmed and he uttered the words "Oda, Hakumatsu Town".
The instructor wanted to ask further, but the ugly face of the demon squeezed out a dry smile, leaving only a puzzling sentence, which was recorded by the instructor as follows: Sooner or later, this world will be changed, everything done in the past is worth it, and the monument of time will shine from the earth to heaven.
After the end of World War II, Dr. Hasu Yuhiko, a modern historian and professor at the Faculty of Law at Nihon University, inquired about Seishiro Itagaki before his death when he was investigating Hanaya Masashi and other Kwantung Army officers, and the only information he obtained was that Oda Masayo took a black safe with him when he was ordered to leave. As for what the box was in and what it was used for, I'm afraid only Itagaki and Oda themselves knew.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the Japanese army planned to launch bacteriological warfare and developed chemical weapons on a large scale in Northeast China. In 1933, Shiro Ishii, Ph.D. in microbiology from Jindu Imperial University, took a fancy to the cold and regional concealment of "Manchukuo" and set up the first bacteriological warfare base in Harbin.
Through Shiro Ishii's "efforts", Unit 731 was formally established in 1936, and built buildings, experimental sites, incineration plants, railways and prisons in Beiyin River in Wuchang County, and more than 10,000 innocent Chinese, Koreans and allied prisoners of war fell victim to bacteriological experiments.
No one had anything to do with Oda Masai in that dark history, but in view of the unspeakable crimes of the Japanese invasion of China, scholars in the know speculated that the safe he took away may contain some kind of biochemical sample.
The eight-year War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression has only ended, and the public's nerves are still burned by the flames of war in their memories. In order to prevent unnecessary panic, governments unanimously decided to keep Seishiro Itagaki's last confession secret, and if they wanted to continue to investigate the whereabouts of Oda Masaki, they could only do it in secret, so the residents of Natalie Town still lived a simple and natural life, never thought that there would be any incredible supernatural phenomena, and one day they were involved with them, until 1966, when a female doctor of space physics from the Soviet Union named Kakhsha arrived here about thirty years old.
True to its old name, Natalie Town is indeed a tranquil white town. Most of the residents live in brick houses with white-painted walls, and the economic conditions are slightly better, and the roofs are paved with tiles, and the poor only hang some straw at will, even if the family has an independent nest.
The mayor's family is the richest in the town, but they can only afford to live in a two-story red brick building. The brick walls are similarly coarsely painted with white paint, and the wooden windows are closed all year round, occasionally broken open by a small crack, and creaked in the north wind, as if they could break at any moment.
