The Germans could not destroy the guerrillas, so they opened their minds to the villagers. But what does this have to do with the German army? At that time, they will take all the surplus food. At least the vast grain of Ukraine can feed five million soldiers and logistics of all kinds, and it is no problem.

The 17th Guerrilla Brigade ushered in a golden period of development in March and April, and most of the guerrilla units also expanded rapidly at this time.

Once this muscle is trained, it's time to beat the enemy!

In April, Miroshniko and his fighters suddenly saw airplanes everywhere in the sky. They were ready for an air raid at the first opportunity, but unfortunately the plane turned and flew away overhead.

The combat strength under the command of the confident Miroshniko has reached 5,000 people! He had four thousand guns, and fifty machine guns. He didn't know the strength of the allies in the swamps on the other side of the river, but he was sure he could do it too.

Seeing that the guerrilla republic had just been established and had launched a major war and achieved good results, Ponomarenko felt that the opportunity was ripe.
