123. Bayonet Killing Technique
At this stage, it is an open secret that the imaginary enemy of the Whampoa Military Academy is the Japanese army, but in fact, it doesn't matter, the Japanese army has already invaded and occupied a large area of territory in Northeast China and North China.
We are still twisting and turning here to say that the imaginary enemy, the Japanese army is our enemy, the old enemy, and the knowledge and skills we learned in the military academy are all used for the future battlefield and the Japanese army, so there is no need to hide and pinch.
Instructor Chen did not follow the school's regulations and speak bluntly, even if he didn't say it, everyone knew it, so when he took that course, he had to study the same type of course of the Japanese army.
For example, the firearms and rifles I learned some time ago were specially studied and studied with the Type 38 rifles of the Japanese army; The Type 38 rifle is a copy of the Mauser rifle in the Meiji 38 years of Japan, and it was finalized after improvement, so it is called the Type 38.
Compared with the previous Type 30, Type 38 has an additional dust cover, and there is an arched dust cover on the bolt, which can retreat or advance with the bolt when opening the bolt and pushing the bolt to close the bolt, so it is commonly known as the 38 cover.
Type 38 is a rifle tailored to Asians, which began to be imported and imitated in China at the end of the Qing Dynasty, and was most imitated by the Shanxi Jin Army.
Type 38 has several characteristics, one is that the caliber is only 65 mm, which is smaller than the caliber of Type 98 792 mm, and the rifle cartridge is 65x50, which is also smaller than the Type 98 792x57, and the bullet is small.
However, the Type 38 is more than 170 mm longer than the Type 98, the barrel is long, the bullet is pushed by high-pressure gas in the barrel for a long time, and the rotation time is enough, so the initial velocity of the bullet of the Type 38 is faster than that of the Type 98, the firing range is greater than that of the Type 98, and the accuracy of the impact point is also higher than that of the Type 98.
In terms of shooting accuracy alone, the accuracy of the Type 38 was the most accurate of all rifles in World War II, but its 65 small bullets were greatly affected by wind deviation.
In addition, as I said before, the bullet is small and fast, and the kinetic energy of the bullet is naturally high, and it often penetrates the human body, leaving only a small bullet hole, causing penetrating wounds and is difficult to kill. Only when shot at a long distance will this bullet roll in the human body, and at close range it is piercing.
Note: In order to avoid this shortcoming, after the 30s, Japan developed a kind of sharp warhead that is light in front and heavy in the back, after the bullet is discharged, due to the instability of the center of gravity of the warhead, once it hits the human warhead, it will immediately lose its stability, and it will roll in the human body, and the warhead is also easy to fragment, which is very harmful to the human body, and has almost reached the effect of the dum bullet (flowering bomb) banned by the international community.
Another feature of the Type 38 is that its bayonet is also longer than the Type 98, almost 500 mm, and the total length of the Type 38 is close to 1700 mm after the bayonet is installed, which is one meter seven (it was called "a spear that can fire bullets" by the later US military).
At that time, the Japanese were on the short side, rarely taller than 1.7 meters, so they wanted to increase the length of their spears to compensate for their short arms and short arms.
In the era of cold weapons, the length of the weapon directly affects the effect of the stabbing, one inch long and one inch stronger, not to mention that the 38 type is more than ten centimeters longer than the 98 type.
It's so long, how can it be stabbed? Only by increasing the flexible pace, the strength of blocking and suppressing, and the suddenness of the stabbing can make up for the shortcomings of the weapon.
Instructor Chen also taught everyone a method of stabbing with a one-handed gun, when stabbing with both hands, it seems that he can't reach the opponent's body, suddenly let go of the left hand holding the barrel, and hold the gun in one hand with his right hand, add one or a few steps up, and stab the opponent with one hand.
This move is a dangerous move, and it can't be used easily, or it will hit with one hit, and more often than not, the opponent will block and knock the gun to the ground; Therefore, the person who asks to use this trick has good arm strength and good explosive power of the whole body, otherwise, it is better not to use it.
In fact, there is a safest way, is to fight the number of people, although the Japanese army is strong, but the number has not been superior, there are many Chinese, you can use this advantage to make a fuss; Although it is a helpless move, it is better than no way.
When stabbing, try not to attack alone, to cooperate with three or five people, first send a strong stabbing master, the small team of the Japanese army (the Japanese army likes to form a team of three when stabbing, back to back into an iron triangle) to break up and divide.
Then three or four people surround an enemy to fight more and less, one of the responsible people feints, the others stab, and the stabbing person must be resolute.
The person in charge of the feint attack must pretend to be very similar, thinking that he is the main attacker, and constantly have to step forward to suppress the opponent's spears, and the main attacker in the flank and rear must be resolute and attack with all his might, even if he misses, and then the next time, he must not give the enemy a chance to dodge and breathe.
If there are extra guns on the ground, the besieging ones can also pick them up, throw them at the surrounded enemy in front of the javelin, and when the enemy dodges and blocks the guns flying over, the main attacker must seize the opportunity to step forward and stab.
Stab down an enemy, leave a mending knife, and the others hurry to reinforce the rest of their comrades. And so on gradually, until the battlefield is finally cleared; This is a common group stabbing tactic.
Of course, this is only an idealized theory, and in actual combat, there are many uncertain factors that affect the development of the war situation, and it requires the soldiers' ability to adapt and resist changes.
Instructor Chen dragged everyone to engage in actual combat training, requiring that they must practice assassination with real guns in uneven terrain or mountainous areas in the field, and not stop at basic instructors.
In the complex terrain and environment, everyone carried out the tactics of catching the right, two against one, two against two, three against three, more against one, and many against many collective stabs.
Because it is a real knife and a real gun, it is inevitable that there will be injuries, but sweating and bleeding in peacetime can save your life in wartime; And it also allows everyone to see more of the real bloodshed and cultivate a fearless spirit.
Although the school does not advocate this kind of training method, there are quite criticisms, but Instructor Chen disagreed, and the school had to equip everyone with a health team, which is on standby at any time, which can be regarded as killing two birds with one stone, and at the same time training the health team members in the battlefield first aid course.
During this time, the training intensity is very high, and everyone generally only does two things, except for eating, that is, assassination training.
Sangou practiced with these veterans who came down from the battlefield and learned a lot of "crooked ways", which are things that textbooks and instructors do not or have not taught.
For example, during the siege, some people will grab the mud and sand on the ground and throw it at the enemy's eyes, it is best to charm the enemy's eyes, and some will use stones to hit the enemy's head or body, which may not be effective, but it can also have the effect of interfering with the enemy.
There is also to avoid dangerous distances, the enemy's spear is long, if a stab misses, the body can't stop, then simply rush into the enemy's arms, in this way, the enemy's spear loses its effect, the two enter the hand-to-hand combat stage, the spear is even more not, even cumbersome.
