803. Promotion, Death

The next day, Sangou always felt that something was wrong with him, and felt that everyone looked at him strangely, so he finally grabbed Da Niu and forced him to say what was going on with his authority.

The big cow couldn't stand the three dogs' forced questions, so he told the truth, saying that the three dogs held the table leg and kept kissing last night, and the three dogs were confused, feeling that they hadn't done it.

In order to prove that Da Niu did not deceive the three dogs, the radish next to him used the leg of the bamboo pole as a table leg, sat on the ground and hugged the leg of the bamboo pole, and kissed wildly.

It's so disgusting, the bamboo pole quickly pulled out his leg and disgusted at the radish, and Sangou knew that he had done such an embarrassing thing after he was drunk last night, so he simply didn't admit it.

It's not fun to die to save face. Everyone didn't look at the three dogs, and they dispersed in a hurry, leaving the three dogs alone in the wind.

……

Within a few days, the troops were ready and began to drive to Jiangxi one after another.

The ancients paid attention to returning to their hometown in fine clothes, but now, everyone is wearing battle clothes, not returning home, but to death. However, being able to die on the land of my hometown can be regarded as a kind of peace of mind.

As early as 12 June, the Japanese Taiwan Botian Detachment had launched a fierce attack on Anqing and occupied Anqing on the same day, which could be regarded as the prelude to the Battle of Wuhan.

The Japanese army was heading towards the Yangtze River, and the strategic intention was very obvious, that is, to go up the river and capture Wuhan, so a large number of troops across the country went to the new battlefield, including the 74th Army of Sangou.

The 74th Army was subordinate to the 36th Army Corps, and it still belonged to General Xue Yue's First Corps, but the First Corps was separated from the First Theater of Henan and became a unit under the Wuhan Garrison Headquarters, and was no longer called the Eastern Henan Corps.

Later, the Wuhan Garrison Command was changed to the Ninth Theater Command, and the Ninth Theater was formally established, which will become the bitter master of the Japanese army in the years of the Anti-Japanese War in the future.

In order to cope with this battle, the Central Military Commission deployed the military forces of the two major theaters in the lofty mountains and mountains on both sides of the Yangtze River, and the newly established Ninth Theater in the south of the Yangtze River.

The commander of the Ninth Theater was General Chen Cheng, and the First Corps was under the jurisdiction of General Xue Yue, including the 4th Army of the Iron Army in the Guangdong Army, as well as the 64th Army and the 66th Army.

There are also the 8th, 18th, 25th, and 70th armies, and the 74th and 29th armies of the 36th Army Corps belong to the direct units of the corps. The First Corps stationed troops on the Nanxun Road in northern Jiangxi and the areas on both sides, and took advantage of the favorable terrain of many mountains, rivers and lakes in the Mufu Mountains to set up formations and deploy defenses.

The 2nd Corps was the troops of General Zhang Fakui, including the 2nd, 13th, 52nd, 54th, 72nd, 78th, 92nd, and 98th armies, holding the front of the Jiujiang-Ruichang line.

In the Jiangbei region is the Fifth Theater, under the jurisdiction of the Third and Fourth Corps. The commander of the Third Corps was General Sun Lianzhong, a famous general of the Northwest Army, and the great victory in Taierzhuang was mainly fought by his troops.

The 3rd Corps is mainly the Guangxi troops of the Gui Army, which is composed of the 7th, 31st, 44th, 48th, 67th, 68th, 84th, 86th and other armies, including the old Gui of the 7th Iron Army, the 68th Army of the Northeast Army and the 86th Army of the Guizhou Guizhou Army.

The 3rd Corps deployed defenses at the southern foot of the Dabie Mountains and the north bank of the Yangtze River, which not only blocked the enemy's attack, but also took the initiative to attack by taking advantage of the favorable terrain of the Dabie Mountains.

The 4th Corps includes the 30th, 42nd, 20th, 10th, 26th, 51st, 55th, 57th, 59th, 77th, 87th, 89th and other armies, as well as the 30th, 59th, and 77th armies such as the northwestern troops, the 51st and 55th armies, and the Sichuan troops of the 20th army, a hodgepodge.

The 4th Corps, which seems to be a miscellaneous army, has played a strong and majestic role in Taierzhuang, and now they are deployed at the northern foot of Dabie Mountain, and the Third Corps is at a corner, and they respond to each other.

In addition, within the 36th Army of the 74th Army, there were also personnel transfers, mainly based on offensive rewards, Sangou's boss Li Tianxia, commander of the 153rd Brigade of the 51st Division, was transferred to the 40th Division of the 29th Army of the 36th Army and promoted to division commander.

The vacancy of the commander of the 153 Brigade was filled by Zhang Lingwu, commander of the 305th Regiment, and his rank was promoted from colonel to major general, and the commander of the 305th Regiment was served by Tang Shenghai, the original deputy commander, and Liu Guangyu was also promoted to deputy commander, concurrently serving as the commander of the third battalion.

I would like to add here that after Zhang Lingwu, the commander of the 305th Regiment, defended Nanjing, the troops were repaired in the Jingzhou area, and he was rewarded for his meritorious deeds, and he was promoted to the deputy commander of the 153rd Brigade, but he has always served as the commander of the 305th Regiment, and his subordinates used to call him the regiment commander.

Hu Hao, the commander of the third battalion of the 306th regiment, died in Nanjing City, and the deputy battalion commander Niu Huang Dezhong was the hometown and eldest brother of Sangou, and now he is the captain of Baohua Mountain as a loyal and righteous rescue.

At the same time, there were also Lao Li Tou, Big Potato, Ta Tie Nong and others in Baohua Mountain, and Sangou knew through several secret letters that they were still fighting guerrillas, and life was a bit hard.

After Qiu Weida, the commander of the 306th Regiment of Sangou's old superior, was seriously injured in Nanjing, he was promoted to the deputy commander of the 151st Brigade, and this time he was promoted to the commander of the 172nd Brigade of the 58th Division.

Lao Guanying, the former commander of the 172nd Brigade of the 58th Division, later went to another brigade of the 58th Division and served as the brigade commander in the 174th Brigade.

……

The tide is rising, and Sangou has also been promoted, promoted to the deputy commander of the third battalion, and concurrently serves as the commander of the seventh company.

But Xiucai disagreed, at present, the seventh company still needs three dogs, this time to Jiangxi, there will be a fierce battle, three dogs are not at ease so that Xiucai just took over and encountered a big war, so he temporarily served as the company commander.

Sangou felt that there was no change in his position, but he had to assist Liu Guangyu in some matters in the battalion headquarters, and his main work was still in the Seventh Company, but many people changed their names to call him Deputy Battalion Commander Luo, and they couldn't adapt to it all of a sudden.

……

On June 12, the 27th year of the Republic of China, under the cover of heavy artillery fire from Japanese naval warships, the Botian detachment first launched a fierce attack on Anqing and occupied Anqing on the same day, thus opening the prelude to the Battle of Wuhan.

On June 22, the Botian detachment and the 11th Naval Squadron marched west from Anqing to the west and attacked the Yangtze River fortress.

The Chinese Air Force dispatched planes to bomb continuously, and the batteries on both sides of the river also fired at the river at the same time, and in addition there were mines and drifting mines in the water, the Japanese army suffered heavy losses, and its progress was extremely slow.

At 4 o'clock in the morning of the 24th, the Hatada detachment stormed Xiangkou. The position was in chaos because the leader attended the party, there was no one to command, and the group of dragons was leaderless, and the Hatian detachment easily occupied Xiangkou.

At 8 o'clock in the morning of the 24th, the Japanese army concentrated its superior forces non-stop and launched a fierce attack on the Changshan position, which was fiercely counterattacked by the defenders and suffered heavy casualties.

The Potian detachment stopped the infantry attack, mobilized more than 10 warships, and concentrated its firepower to bombard the Changshan position fiercely, and the enemy reinforcements attacked frantically again and again under the cover of the warships' artillery fire.

Before dawn on the 26th, the Botian detachment made a detour to the side of the Zangshiji River, used the dense reeds next to the embankment as a cover, quietly touched the front of the horse position, and released a large amount of poisonous gas, and the 7th Squadron of the 2nd Ma Garrison Corps was poisoned and died.

In the early morning, under the cover of airplanes, a number of Japanese motorboats rushed into the minefield on the river and detonated the mines with firepower......

The fierce battle until noon, the Changshan position had been cut into several sections by the Japanese army, and the artillery shells had been exhausted, and the defenders had no choice but to order a retreat, and the horse fortress fell to the enemy.

The horse defense line, which the government had spent a lot of money to build, was lost in just three days.

As soon as the horse fortress is lost, the terrible domino effect will occur immediately, and from this to the west, Hukou and Jiujiang are not in danger to defend.

After the Potian detachment captured the Ma Fortress, it blocked the line with a demolition team on June 29, and sent a large number of engineers to cut and salvage the sunken ship underwater, and at the same time sent a large number of motor boats to detonate mines and drifting mines, and re-dredged the Ma Channel.
