To make a perfume, the first step is to extract the essence.

The water vapor enters from the top of the pot, and the vapor gradually penetrates into the material layer from top to bottom, and at the same time pushes out the air in the material layer, and the essential oil dispersed and transferred from the water can directly enter the condenser at the bottom of the distiller without all vaporization.

Because the steam is gradually percolated, the distillation of the material layer is very uniform, consistent, and complete, and the water and oil condensate enters the condenser quickly, so the obtained essential oil is of better quality, higher yield, short distillation time, and the equipment is simple.

Both the still and the condenser are ready-made things that can be set up in a single bit.

Xia Hongsheng ordered the petals to be divided into different types, then spread on a clean bamboo plate, and then put them in a still.

The distiller is closed on all sides, with only the upper part attached to a conduit. The conduit was connected to the boiler on the side. After a while, after the boiler boils, the steam returns to the upper part of the still, which flows back down the duct from the boiler and directly into the upper part of the still. As the heat increases, it will gradually spread downward.

And the layer of petals is in the middle. As the hot steam leachs downward, it penetrates through the layer and carries the flavor away from the layer.

Everyone worked in the workshop for a long time, and it was not until sunset that they finally succeeded in seeing the essential oil slowly dripping out of the condenser's tube.
