(a)

So, one day on the road, His Holiness Milarepa saw a horn bone on the road, and he asked his disciples to pick up the horn bone and take it away. Pen ~ fun ~ pavilion www.biquge.info

Although the disciple went to pick up this dirty and worthless thing, he thought to himself, "Master is really old now. He burned such precious information with a fire, and this worthless thing was so valued. ”

The two had not walked long when suddenly a dense hail fell from the sky. The hail smashed the two men with nowhere to hide.

At this time, His Holiness Milarepa said to his disciples, "Put that horn down, let's hide inside." ”

So His Holiness Milarepa climbed into the horns.

When the disciple heard the voice of His Holiness Milarepa calling him inside, he looked into the horns of the ox and found that His Holiness Milarepa was sitting contentedly inside, and the place inside was quite spacious.

His Holiness Milarepa's body did not shrink, nor did the horns of the ox grow larger.

His Holiness Milarepa beckoned to his disciples inside. But the disciples just stood outside and couldn't enter.

At this time, His Holiness Milarepa began to sing inside the horns.

In the midst of the song, the disciple suddenly realized why the teacher burned those notes and materials, and after a while, the disciple finally climbed into the horns.

That day, you stopped reading this.

You feel touched by something. You soak up the feeling of being moved for a while, and then you remember that I don't seem to have moved in a long time.

So, you look up from the book and look at me.

You look at me for a moment and call me softly.

I looked somewhere in a daze and didn't hear.

You put down the book and called me again, only to wake me up.

You say, "What's wrong?" ”

I said, "I feel a little shaken. ”

(b)

We also discussed this story many times later.

You ask me what I think of the story.

You ask me, and I think it's all about what it's talking about.

I said, "I think this story is very rich in meaning, and it tells us a lot of things. ”

"For example, first, the body we think we have may be illusory."

"Second, spaces that we thought didn't exist or couldn't get into may actually exist and are completely accessible."

"Third, the obstacles we thought we had may not have."

"Fourth, the freedom we thought we didn't have may have always been."

"Fifth, we ......"

I stopped at this point.

You look at me.

I hesitated for a moment, then said, "What we think is precious may actually be superfluous." ”

I said, "Anything that can't be brought in should be superfluous." The body, the money, the accumulation of knowledge that those notes represent, and so on. ”

I looked at you after I said this, and said nothing more.

You look at me.

We fell into a rich silence for a while.

In the end, it was you who broke the silence.

You said to me, "Xinxin, you understand very quickly. However, true comprehension is not enlightenment, but practice. In other words, it is necessary not only to know it in theory, but also to implement it in concrete behavior. In the face of specific situations, in words and deeds, make the truth. ”

You say, "Now that we know the truth, when we have a situation that needs to be dealt with, we will have to throw away all the superfluous things." ”

Say, "Heart, throw away all the past that cannot be brought into the horns." ”

You say, "Like you just said, they are redundant. ”

Say, "Take them with you all the time, there are so many wonderful places, and we will never be able to go." ”

(c)

By the time we read that book together, you already knew your fate. But I don't know yet.

So I thought you were talking about the past. But then I realized that you were talking about the future.

I thought you were saying to make me forget the past of my previous life.

But you're actually saying that I'm forgetting the present of this life.

That is becoming the past and the present.

Whether it's about your past in a previous life, or about your moments in this life, you're trying to persuade me to forget.

It was the first time in your life that you asked me to forget you.

In that biography of His Holiness, we also read many stories about His Holiness Milarepa.

That was my first encounter with tantra and its systematic approach to learning.

There was one story that stood out to me.

When he was young, His Holiness Milarepa studied Buddhism with his master, who often "abused" him.

Once, Master asked His Holiness Milarepa to build a very large house.

His Holiness Milarepa worked so hard to build this house by carrying stones and wood on the plateau, and the skin on his shoulders and back was worn out, and even his wife couldn't help but cry when he saw it.

But when he finished the house, the master didn't even look at it, so he said that the house was not good, and asked him to tear it down and rebuild it.

As a result, His Holiness Milarepa began to tear down the house he had built with great difficulty.

Why did Master torture him so much? What does Master want him to get used to?

You said to me, "What Master wants His Holiness to get used to is that any hard work in life can be ruined at any time for no reason, without any result or gain. In the end, all the hard work was in vain. ”

You say, "What does Master want to teach His Holiness?" What Master wants to teach His Holiness is to remain calm about all this. Let it rise, let it perish, let it come, let it go, and follow it calmly. ”

You say, "Go with the flow, that's generosity, that's offering, that's renunciation, it's diligence, it's patience, it's keeping vows, it's meditation, it's prajna." ”

You say, "No matter what happens, no matter what happens, you are not afraid, you are not happy, you are not worried, you are not moved, you are not disturbed." ”

You say, "Just like we usually do in shooting." ”

All my life, I love beeswax.

Beeswax, one of the Seven Treasures of Buddhism, is the lightest natural gemstone in the world. The color is warm, the texture is delicate, and some have a delicate fragrance of pine resin.

But that's not what I love about beeswax.

One day, when I was reading you a passage from His Holiness's biography, I felt that you had been looking at me from the side.

You're so engrossed that I feel like you're looking at that side of my body.

I felt like I was in the middle of summer and winter at the same time.

I was so bothered by this feeling that I had to stop.

It's been a minute since I stopped studying, and you don't notice it.

I watched you unconscious, and I wondered if I wanted to wake you up.

Then I whispered, "What are you looking at?" ”

I thought you would need me to ask a second time to understand. But you answered right away.

You say, "Xinxin, the outline of your ears is so beautiful." ”

My heart jumped, and I lowered my head.

I said, "So you haven't been listening to me study." ”

You say, "I'm listening, too." If you don't believe me, I can retell to you what you just read. ”

You say, "Xinxin, a few days ago, I went to a nearby market town. I bought you a small gift, I don't know if you will like it again in the future. ”

You said, pulling out a small box.

I opened the box and saw a pair of tiny beeswax earrings trimmed with silver trim.

Bright yellow beeswax beads sway slightly in the silver openwork frame.

I said, "What beautiful jewelry." ”

I said, "Why didn't you come back that day and tell me that you were sending me now?" ”

You say, "Because it's for yours in the future." It's okay to be late. Now you can't wear jewelry to school either. ”

I said, "It's beautiful." The colors and styles are my favorites. ”

You say, "I really want to see how you look when you put it on." ”

I said, "When I graduate, I'm going to get my ears pierced." That's when you can really put it on. ”

You listened, and you didn't speak for a long time.

And then you say, "You must look good on it." ”

I said, "Because you sent it." ”

I see something flickering in your eyes. Is it tears?

I said, "Guidance? What happened to you? ”

You take your eyes off me, you look away.

You say, "Put it away and wear it later." ”

(f)

You didn't see my graduation.

Later, I graduated and worked.

I finally went to get that pierced.

I finally brought the earrings you gave me.

After many years of psychological struggle, I finally wore it and went to visit you at your cemetery.

Do you see me wearing it?

Is it our love object in this life?

(g)

In the evening, we returned to the chalet together along the path of the base.

I said, "Guidance." Do you like Bossan? ”

You say, "Yes." ”

I said, "It's so beautiful here." It's like heaven. ”

You say, "Yes." The scenery here can awaken the beauty in us and make it bloom. ”

I looked up at the night sky.

I said, "The stars in the night sky here are so big, and there are so many, and they are brilliant and magnificent." ”

You say, "Actually, there are so big, so many and so brilliant stars in the city." It's just that we can't see it. The desire for the hustle and bustle of our hearts is so dense that it obscures it. ”

You say, "But even if we can't see it, it still shines on us in the sky." ・(To be continued.) )
