The new wagon passed by the Grande House, but instead of stopping, it drove directly to the cemetery to the west. Benjamin also missed the necromancy, and when he picked up Zack, he only said, "Let's hope that guy gets to Grande safely." β
Zach wasn't very interested in finding White, he needed to know what he needed to know, and what he was worried about was how to get into that fight club.
In the sun near noon, Zack, who was completely depressed, raised his arms, looked at the tomb of White, who was buried only yesterday, and shook his head, there was nothing here, even in the underground coffin, there was dead silence, "It seems that he didn't make it here." β
The three stood in front of the tombstone in silence for half a minute. Back to Grande.
The House of Grande β₯βwanβ₯βshuβ₯βba, aβnshβuba., but there are completely unexpected 'guests'.
Four or five policemen in civilian clothes stood in the backyard of Grande, and the people of Grande were all sitting on seats in the back porch, their faces full of unnatural expressions.
"What's going on. Zach frowned, half drowsiness, half puzzled by the situation in front of him. Zack's gaze swept over the officers with their waists tucked up and their badges displayed, and finally landed on Louise.
"Grande. The door to the back porch was opened, and the chief of the Southern Police Department, Perles, pressed the door with one hand and beckoned Zach to come in with him.
Zach could almost guess what it was. Shaking his head helplessly, he glanced at Danny, an innocent-looking phantom man. Perhaps it was a mistake to keep him physical, and now he's trapped in Grande, floating in Dylan's free backyard, occasionally glancing at Zach as if to say, 'It's none of my business, don't look for me'.
Zach walked into the office, a little helpless at Pelce's own behavior at his desk, "Director. That's an exaggeration, don't you think?"
Pelce smacked, "You should see the more exaggerated! Old Mel was directly invited to sit in the bureau, do you want it too!"
Zach smiled wryly, "We just bought a used car." β
"Do you think I want to?!" Pelce pouted irritably, "Who told that rookie to have a mouthful!"
Zach was even more helpless. It's not Wes who is talkative, it's the director who is complaining now!
Zach walked behind the bookshelf and pulled out his glass and bottle, and took a glass to himself, "You don't mind. β
"What can I mind!
Zach was a little surprised, "Mr. Chief, are you going to stay here all the time, and a few detectives in the courtyard aren't enough?"
The irritated expression on Pelles' face became heavier, and he glared at Zack, "It's an honor for Grande that I'm here personally!"
Zach raised an eyebrow. He realized that this guy was being punished. Grande knew that Weis's police identity was a complete accident, just Zack saw the situation, he could find that the rookie Wes had a bad impression of this director, so he truthfully reacted to the process of Grande knowing his identity, and this director ended up now.
Zach thought for a moment and shook his head, the cops would show up here. Proving that James already knew that Grande had been involved in the event in a strange way, it was not at all surprising that the people of Grande House were now trapped.
Leave Lance's last name aside. As a key member of the special mission, he is also qualified to make demands for his own security.
James apparently did not want the Grande House to be involved in the case, and imposed such a guarantee on the grounds that Wes's identity might be exposed.
Let me make it clear to you that this is not a divergence of Zack's thinking, that James is too demoralized, but a fact. Now the Grande House is being watched by the police. Old Mel was invited to the police station, and even Georgina and Fitz in the North District were charged with zhì, or 'protected'. That's what James asked!
Oh yes. It also misses a Quest who used to spend one-on-one with James. However, his treatment is much better than others.
Zach sighed inwardly, 'James, as for you?'
"What are you thinking!" Pelce stared at Zach's expression, "Don't think about what you don't have! Stay in Grande honestly! The phone calls all have to go through our people! Can't go out and can't contact the outside world!"
Zach snorted and smiled at Pelce, "I'm wondering what important things Wes's police status can have to do with it. Zach half-raised the corners of his mouth, although lunch was going on, the vampire's true mood did not improve in the slightest because of eating, "I'm very curious right now." β
Pelce glared at Zack, "Curious about what! We're protecting you! I don't want to be unlucky and lose this boring curiosity!"
Zach raised his glass, which was a response. Turn around and leave.
"What are you doing!" shouted Pelles, unhappy with Zach's attitude!
"Lunch. Zach glanced back at Pelce, "You make me curious, and I don't ask how long this 'protection' will last." But Chief, our lives go on, and we need to prepare lunch. β
Pelce choked and opened his mouth, which seemed to poke him in the sore spot, God knows how long the hell mission would last, if those two guys who were rookies in his eyes dragged on for ten days and a half months, would they stay in Grande for ten days and a half months?!γ
He waved his hand, and the irritated expression on his face softened, "Go ahead, uh, Alice, I've heard she's a good cook!"
Zach raised his eyebrows, he was a little strange how Pelce knew this, with a smile on his face, "How does the director know that Sister Grande is a good cook?"
Vincent said. Pelce became impatient again, "You go and get them to prepare lunch first!
Zach went out with a glass of wine, and the warden of Patton Prison, Vincent and Pelce, were they familiar with him? Zach sneered maliciously.
The people sitting in the back porch didn't look very natural, and they didn't know when these policemen came, or what they said when they came, and they felt that the human aliens were trembling. Only Benjamin lay in the hammock without feeling, apparently asleep.
After discovering that deliberately staying awake would lead to an abnormality, Benjamin stopped resisting his own nature and went with it, waiting for Walter to send a sample of the results of the analysis.
Zach gave a regular smile and raised his glass to the crowd. "Aren't you hungry?"
Alice stood up nervously and whispered, "I'm going to prepare lunch." β
A "I'm here to help" voice sounded, Zack shook his head, and smiled as a bunch of people entered the back door and turned into the kitchen, even Old Hank looked honest. Zach understood. That's because there used to be too many handles, and this strange old man is weak-hearted......
Zach winked at Kim, the only one who didn't move, and Kim spun around and pointed his ass at the vampire. Again, no matter what Zach was thinking, the shapeshifter refused without any consideration. As for why, it was the last time he went out to save Wells and teamed up with the phantom Danny and the demon Mike, which left a shadow on Kim.
The vampire glanced at Dylan, who was still floating freely in the yard, and he didn't even have the idea of trying.
Never mind. So be it. Zack thought that he would not be like James, who naively regarded confrontation with other races as child's play, but since James had done all this, then what else did he Zack have to take the initiative? Vampires are not so self-respecting.
Back in the office, Zach sat on the other side of the desk rarely, and the change of perspective made Zach feel that this was not his own office.
"What did you do in the morning? Pelce pulled out a notebook. With a pout, he showed Zack. "Routine question. β
"Test the car and take a casual stroll. Zach replied casually.
"Where did it go. β
"Did you pass somewhere?"
"Yes. β
"South End Gospel Church, Grace, Ixton District, North End, Mary Church. Ogier Street, Paising, Back Bay, the order is to go around, and then come back. β
"Who did I see? Did you say anything?" Pelce glanced at Zach as if to explain, "I know you guys definitely didn't say anything about Wes, routine questions, and the answer is." β
Zach took a sip of wine and smiled, "I didn't see anyone or anything, who can I see when I test the car?"
Pelce glanced at Zach again, didn't say anything, and wrote quickly in his notebook.
"Any other questions?" Zach asked.
"How many times have we met?" Pelce asked the odd question.
Zach narrowed his eyes, as if thinking, "Twice, or three, not counting the two meetings today." β
Pelce nodded, "Three times, or when your mill contract was signed." β
"Yes. Zach clutched his elbows, the bar filled with red liquid resting on his lower lip, and Zach waited for the chief to speak, apparently having something to say.
Pelce snorted and patted Zack's desk, stroking his palm on the table, his gaze sliding with the back of his hand, "I don't think you can get the cooperation with our branch just by relying on the little 'cooperation' relationship between you Grande and Vincent before." β
Pelce's gaze withdrew from the back of his hand and fell to Zack's body, "The citizens of the Southern District seem to think that you have something to do with me. His eyes hardened, "But I know, that's my business!"
Zack suddenly felt that the Southern District Police Chief was cute, and unconsciously curled the corners of his mouth.
"I'm just an order-taker!" Pelce looked into Zach's eyes, "and you've saddled me with the suspicions of the entire Southside, and I think you should at least be a little self-conscious to satisfy my curiosity." β
Pelce tapped his finger on the table, "Who the hell do you Grande have to do with this person up there?"
The glass touched his lower lip, and Zach looked at the liquid in the glass, "Since you asked so bluntly, then I'll say so." Your mission this time is to cooperate with Newton City, and the candidates are Lance, Cousson, and the rookies you call them. β
Peer's pupils constricted slightly.
Zach smiled and looked at the curious chief, "So, Lance, Cologne, or whoever you think might know, or even the mayor, pick the one you feel most comfortable with." β
Would vampires care if Pelce had a distorted impression of themselves? No, because basically, Zach is like that, fake chilling from start to finish.
Who knows how long that ghost mission will last, and hopefully this uncomfortable fake will keep the curious Mr. Director at arm's length.
"Of course, don't tell me about your choice. Zach smiled, "I'll definitely deny it." (To be continued......)
