There is a corridor in front of the main hall, about six feet wide, and on the outer side of the corridor are several pillars, and between the pillars are bluestone balustrades that can be used as seats. In front of the corridor, there are three steps, facing the entrance of the main hall, which are all made of bluestone.

If it is in an ordinary person's house, this is a hall and a bedroom, but in Xie Mansion, it is obviously not. This is where the distinguished guest came, and this distinguished guest was not particularly close.

There are three rooms in the west wing, which are much lower than the main hall. At the door of the west wing, a big apricot tree was planted, and the branches were bare, but looking at the body of the tree, which was full of thick and thin trees, it was known that this apricot tree was definitely not short, and I was afraid that when the time came, the leaves were luxuriant, and the golden fruits between the leaves and branches were abundant.

The so-called hook and match refers to the roofing practice of connecting the roofs of two or more houses in the direction of depth, and making a horizontal gutter at the junction to drain water to both sides, the purpose of which is to expand the indoor space of the building.

In this kind of hook-up roof, there are two most typical types, namely "one-hall one-roll hook-up" and "hook-and-match with hugging buildings". There are only two tops that form a hook and one of them is a hard mountain hanging mountain with a positive ridge, and the other is a roll shed without a positive ridge, and this kind of hook and tie roof is called "one hall and one roll hook and tie", and many hanging flower doors are this kind of top. In the hook-up roof, most of the roofs are the same size and height, but some of them are one large and one small, with main and secondary, different heights, and different front and back.

But one word, it is very wonderful, and there are thousands of understandings in it, just depending on your state of mind and experience. How to think about it, how to see it, the culture of the dynasty is broad and profound, so you can get a glimpse.

The word Keyuan, written squarely and roundly, neatly and beautifully, seems to be directly used as a model of calligraphy. But it is a little rigid and a little mediocre - but the most regular and easiest to use is the standard, often not the best, because the best is rarely achieved, but the mediocre is easier.

Below this plaque, there is a line of small letters: "Retired Mountain People".

In the officialdom of the entire city of Beijing, there are very few people who have some identities and do not know what these four words mean -- the people who retired from the mountains are the names of the officials and heavenly officials Xie Shengxie.

This plaque, the two big characters of Keyuan on it, is exactly what he mentioned.

The big and small officials in the court, no one knows, Lord Xie writes well.

The so-called Taige style, square, smooth, jet black, and flat in size, was developed from the Song Dynasty at the latest, and flourished in the Ming and Qing dynasties. In the Ming Dynasty, scholars and scholars were prevalent in the practice of playing and learning, so it also affected calligraphy. Therefore, the entire Ming Dynasty calligraphy is mostly in regular letters, and it has not been traced back to the Qin and Han dynasties and the Northern Dynasties. It's just that no matter how you say it, because this font is easy to use, easy to recognize, neat and beautiful to write, horizontal and vertical, and good-looking, it has been vigorously promoted by the official. Especially in the imperial examination, it is also required to take the examination in this style of writing, so it is also called the Ganlu style.

It's not possible that you still write a wild grass when you take the imperial examination, right? What if the examiner doesn't recognize the one that will be written at that time? Even if you recognize it, how much time do you have to waste?

Moreover, in the Ming Dynasty, there were many rules and regulations in the imperial examination, and if you write a wrong word, there is a slight smear on the test paper, or there is one more ink spot and one less stroke, and the paper is basically invalid. In this case, the cabinet body, which is not easy to make mistakes, is naturally suitable. And it's beautifully written, which adds a lot of points at a glance.

If you don't have a beautiful Taige body, how can Lord Xie get into the Jinshi? Lord Xie is an exception, many people know that whether he writes official documents or privately inscribes and writes chapters, he uses the Taiwan Pavilion style. And he always said to people: "Being a bento is like this pavilion body, round and square, and clear." ”

His pavilion body is more rounded and stretched than the average one, and it seems that there is a hint of transparency in the words.

Steward Liang led He Ruihui into Keyuan, and as soon as he entered, he felt that the style of the whole building had changed greatly, which was completely different from the courtyard outside.

If it is said that the quadrangle courtyard outside is a typical northland building, then in this garden, it is a pair of water pavilions to listen to incense, hidden scenery everywhere, and the beautiful Jiangnan garden structure is close to the mountains and forests.

When I entered the garden, it was ice white.

In the icy white, there was also a faint touch of red.

The reason why this is so is because more than ninety percent of this garden is on the surface of the water!

The main body of the entire garden is such a small lake, and all the buildings are built in the lake. The whole garden is about seven or eight zhang wide from east to west, and ten zhang long from north to south, so the area is also considerable. The entire lake covers an area of about three or four acres. A lake of this size is naturally far inferior to those big lakes in the south of the Yangtze River, and it is not a heavyweight at all compared to Shichahai not far from the house.

But the question is whether this is in the Northland, or in a private garden. And it's not a royal garden.

Taken together, it's worth mentioning and it's amazing. There are so many wealthy families in the capital, so many high-ranking officials and relatives, how many houses have such a big water surface?

If it is in summer, it must be blue waves rippling and lotus leaves catching the sky, but now it is the middle of winter, and when the early spring arrives, the northland under the shroud of the Xiaoice era is still very cold, and the ice is very solid. What comes into view is a silvery white, cold, and icy clear.

When you enter the door, you can see that a long corridor surrounds the lake, surrounds the entire garden, and also connects the scenery in the garden.

The promenade is about eight feet high and six feet wide, with railings on both sides, and neatly laid out heavy wooden planks underneath it, and under the planks are large wooden stakes that have been smashed deep into the bottom of the lake as foundations. Under the eaves of the corridor, there is a big red lantern hanging every about a foot away, the light of which is enough for people to see clearly, but not very bright, making people have a hazy and hazy beauty in the slight dimness.

That's how the red light reflected from the ice comes about.

This corridor is called the Huanbi Corridor, and the beginning is a water pavilion, which is called "Breaking the Red Pavilion". "Breaking red" is the meaning of peeling lychees, and breaking red pavilions, as the name suggests, is where the owner invites literary friends to taste lychees.

Circulate the blue corridor forward, all the way through the Moon Worship Pavilion, Yaoxian Cave, Orchid Pavilion, Quchi, Arch Bridge, and Library Pavilion, Diaoyutai, Quqiao, and finally arrive at the core and most gorgeous building in this garden - Retreat and Zhai.

It is a four-storey high-rise building, but it is the most central part of the entire Keyuan Lake, where it is built into a small island with rocks, and the whole island naturally forms a rockery with a radius of several zhang. The rockery is two zhang high, and it is not built with such precious Taihu Lake stones, but as ordinary bluestone. But the builder obviously has a lot of hills and ravines in his heart, this rockery is not big, and the general material is used, but it is in this limited space, but it is made of thousands of weather, waterfalls, springs, cliffs, and cliffs.
