Xue Shi can break the sealing enchantment laid by Cheng Xuanying, is this really reliable?

The answer is yes, not to mention that Cheng Xuanying would only rely on his own non-cultivation to set up this enchantment back then, and he would definitely not have such magical help as Fu Xiqin.

Compared with the cultivation between the two, Cheng Xuanying actually only cultivated to the upper level of the Tribulation Period until his death. Although he is one of the patriarchs of the Xuanzhen School, in fact, he has long since returned to dust and earth to earth.

But what about this Xue style? Judging from the skill he had displayed in the short moment he flew in front of Liu Xing, it was obvious that his cultivation had also reached an astonishing level, at least he was already a beginner master of the Mahayana realm.

The Mahayana realm, for today's practitioners, can be regarded as a god-like existence. Xue Shi is also the second person known to have reached such a state after Liu Xing. It's just that he is only at the beginning level, and Liu Xing has already broken through the middle level and entered the most difficult high level to be promoted......

Cultivating as a person who is higher than spreading out of the enchantment, coupled with the help of artifacts, is the primary reason why Liu Xingjia firmly believes in Xue Shi. And there is another reason, but it is because the two are too similar in origin.

Let's talk about this Xue Shi and Xue Daoguang first, he was originally a monk, \ the name of Zixian, he participated in Zen, and was approved by the Zen sect, and was called the Zen master of Biling.

He once traveled to Chang'an to stay in Kaifu Temple, first participating in the elders to repair the rock, and then participating in the monks such as rings.

Because of the enlightenment of the orange tree, he said: "When the rolling phase is from the sound, it is not from him to know it suddenly." There is no life, and the mud snake in the well dances the branches. ‘

The second elder was very appreciative, and since then he has had an epiphany, and he has been quick and quick-witted.

Given that the six ancestors Hui Neng after the understanding. I also have to ask Huang Mei to teach the Fa again. There must be a secret to the foundation of Jindan cultivation life. It is beyond the reach of personal wisdom, so I try my best to find ......

These stories about the Xue style of worshipping the Buddha were obtained from various sources, which shows that his cultivation before entering the Tao from the Buddha was not very low.

So how did he go from Buddhism to Taoism? That is a great deal to do with Shi Tai, the ancestor of the Xuanzhen faction at this time.

Xue Shi listened to a lecture in a Buddhist temple one year, and by chance met Shi Tai, a Taoist from Fufeng County. Shi Tai was eighty-five years old at the time, with black hair and red face, extraordinary gods, and needlework at night.

Xue Daoguang knew that he was not an ordinary person, so he deliberately quoted Zhang Boduan's poems during the conversation, Shi Tai was a little surprised, and immediately asked, "How do you know Zhang Ziyang?" He was my teacher. ”

Xue Daoguang didn't quite believe it yet. Ask him for advice on the sentences from the Enlightenment Chapter. Shi Tai saw that he was very sincere, so he briefly explained the main points to him.

Xue Daoguang realized after hearing this, and all kinds of mysteries buried in his abdomen were broken at once, like a bucket coming out of the bottom.

So he believed that Shi Tai was Zhang Ziyang's true disciple, and then bowed and asked to be accepted under the door.

Shi Tai said with a smile: "Aren't you afraid of being suspected of apostasy?" ”

Xue Daoguang replied firmly: "If the major matter of life and death is confined to the door, isn't it delaying yourself?" ”

Shi Tai nodded again and again after hearing this, and said that it has been nearly thirty years since the Ziyang Ancestor taught the Tao, and he has only met someone who can inherit it today. So he taught him the mantra and told him to go to Tongdu Dayi, rely on the powerful people to support his cultivation, and he would retire to the world......

It can be said that Xue Shi is a strange person in the world who turned from Buddha to Taoism in order to seek immortality, and then cultivated both Buddhism and Taoism. For those who practice both for the purpose of immortality, most of the ways and abilities they possess are extremely practical rather than flashy.

Compared to him, that Cheng Xuanying veteran was obviously too much weaker. Because that old-timer is actually theoretical, redundant and practical, and it is actually difficult to live up to his reputation.

Why? It is undeniable that Cheng Xuanying's life is basically a legendary life, a philosopher's life.

The world's specific deeds to him. Because he spent most of his time engaged in theoretical research, he did not enter the WTO and had no way of knowing. However, with his large number of creations and profound insights, he has left a valuable spiritual wealth for future generations.

Cheng Xuanying's theoretical achievements in the Tang Dynasty had a wide range of influence, Huayan Sect master Chengguan in the "Huayan Sutra" cloud, "Lao Ziyun 'is very subtle and very true' Zhuang Ziyun 'has a true monarch to save Yan' and other texts, the latter Confucianism is the same in words, not looking at the before and after, the establishment of the institute, to want to mix the three religions.

Shi Cheng Xuanying's master "Zhuang" and "Lao" are sparse, and widely quote the teachings to refer to the other classics.

But seeing that there is a small similarity in his words, how can he know that the meaning is very different? It shows that although Cheng Xuanying Lao Zhuangxue invoked Buddhism, its purpose was not different from Buddhism.

The importance of the Chengguan record lies in the fact that, on the one hand, it is recognized that Lao Zhuang's thought is by no means like the later Confucianism who played a conceptual game with Lao Zhuang, but in essence, it is based on its roots.

At that time, in order to confuse the three religions of Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism, regardless of the differences in their thoughts, they compared Cheng Xuanying to "widely quote the teachings of the Buddha and refer to the other scriptures." ”

But being able to stick to one's principled stand cannot be compared.

Rather, "there are small similarities in words, but there are great differences in righteousness", which is very different from the judgment of today's researchers on Cheng Xuanying's emphasis on metaphysics attributed to the influence of Buddhism.

On the other hand, it also shows that Cheng Xuanying's theoretical achievements were recognized by people from all walks of life at that time. But even so, many Buddhist scholars still often cite Cheng Xuanying's writings.

For example, the "All the Sutras and Meanings" of Hui Lin, a monk from the Shule Kingdom of the Western Regions, and the "Zhonglun Shuji" by An Cheng, a monk of the Three Treatises sect from Japan, have quoted Cheng Xuanying's works, or explained the meaning of the words, or confirmed the righteousness.

It can be said that the first person who let the world understand that Buddha is the Tao through his great theory, and know that in fact, the person who first proposed that the Buddha is the Tao is Zhuangzi is the master of Chengda Venerable.

Cheng Xuanying inherited the pre-Qin and Han dynasty and Wei and Jin metaphysics, and through careful and rigorous theoretical analysis, established the first complete philosophical system in the history of Chinese philosophy that includes ontology, existential theory, methodology, cultivation theory, mind theory, and meaning theory, and realized the third phase of the development of Lao Zhuang Studies, which is equivalent to the pre-Qin and Han dynasty and Wei and Jin metaphysics.

These achievements marked a new stage in the development of Taoism, and Taoism, after deviating from Taoism, returned to Taoism on a higher basis.

As an important philosophical trend in the Sui and Tang dynasties, it was an important stage in the development of Taoist philosophy after the philosophy of the pre-Qin Laozhuang, the Huang Lao Taoism of the Han Dynasty, the metaphysics of the Wei and Jin dynasties, and the Taoism of the immortals.

This is the return of Cheng Xuanying, Li Rong and other Taoist beliefs to the tradition of Lao Zhuang, so that the negative or negative method tradition of Taoism will be carried forward in the new historical period. This is the reason why although he is a person whose theory is greater than practice, he is still listed as a generation of ancestors by the Xuanzhen School......

A theory is greater than practice, and there are not many people who have joined the WTO and are not practical enough to cast spells and seal here, and when they encounter a doer of the same type who cultivates two but mainly focuses on practicality, they will only suffer the bitter fruits of failure, and there is absolutely no other possibility.
