There are a large number of ragged and unkempt beggars in every city in India, and if you give a little money to one of them, a dozen of them will be gathered around at once, and some of them will follow you all the way to the hotel, or even wait for you in front of the hotel tomorrow.

As far as Tu Qianjun's personal experience is concerned, the poverty he has seen in the cities of Mumbai and Kolkata is more than the poverty he has seen in China in the past 20 years combined.

A bowl of Ganges water has created 300 million people living in extreme poverty. This is the India, the lord of the people.
