Chapter 900: If you want to fight, you will fight

On December 23 of the second year of Hongji, the tea party held by the Luo family was officially launched in Yamaguchi Castle of Zhou Fangguo.

In the Wa Kingdom, daimyo or samurai who specialize in tea ceremony will have a special tea room to hold tea ceremonies. A standard tea room is generally a half-sized tatami mat. The castle tower of Yamaguchi Castle, which was formerly Ouchi's home castle, also has such a teahouse and garden, and it is said that it was built by the late Ouchi Yoshitaka Ouchi after spending a lot of money and inviting many ministers of tea to study and design, and now it is cheaper Masayo. Unfortunately, when Masarashi returns to Kyushu in the future, the teahouse will be demolished along with Yamaguchi Castle.

The teahouse is a four-and-a-half stack, with tatami mats on the floor and a calligraphy painting on the wall in the center. Youxuan is derived from the aesthetic consciousness of Zen Buddhism, and the word Youxuan is mentioned many times in the Buddhist scriptures of the Wa Kingdom, which expresses a kind of hidden but not revealed, soft and far-reaching, and ineffable artistic conception. As a general's tea room, in addition to these calligraphy and paintings that fiddle with their knowledge level, they often put a famous sword. The knives are placed on a specific shelf and are arranged in such a way that the tip of the knife is up, the handle is down, and the edge is inward. For demonstration, the handle of the knife must be placed to the left, on the one hand is the front of the knife, on the other hand, it means that it is not threatening, if the handle of the knife is to the right, it means that the knife can be drawn with the right hand, and the sheath can be unsheathed at any time.

In the center of the tea room is a small fire pit on which a teapot boils water. The tea room is surrounded by walls on three sides, and beyond the sliding door, a cloister and a pond form a Japanese-style garden. A bamboo tube is placed next to the pond in the courtyard, and spring water is attached to it, but the bamboo tube is almost full. The bamboo tube is turned upside down and the water is discharged into a small stone pool. Continue to store water after resetting back to its original position. And so on and so forth.

When the bamboo tube is poured with water, the bottom of the stone will make a clattering sound, which is particularly crisp and elegant in this quiet courtyard. This bamboo tube water dispensing device is called 'Tsumizu', and it has its shadow in a series of Japanese manga such as the Hokage. 'Adding water' was originally an agricultural tool that used the sound of bamboo tubes to drive away birds and wild deer at the edge of the fields. Later, it was introduced into the Wa Kingdom garden (ironically, this agricultural tool was not developed in the agriculture of the Wa Kingdom), and it is said that the two pure symbols of bamboo and water represent a kind of Zen in Zen Buddhism. It can wash away the complexity of the heart.

All of the above elaborate decorations are to create an atmosphere of drinking tea in the tea party. During the Song Dynasty in China, the Wa Tea Ceremony was introduced to the Wa Kingdom by overseas monks, and then first among the monks who had nothing to do all day long, and then spread to the ministers and samurai. It is said that the reason why monks love to drink tea is because they can experience the bitterness of life from the bitter taste of tea, and it is unique to help comprehend a certain mysterious artistic conception. I don't know if this is true or not, but tea was a foreign product to the Japanese at that time, and it had to be imported from China across the ocean. It's the kind that is super super expensive.

As the tea party began, the monk Kuaikawa Shaoxi, who was the host of the tea party, wanted to boil water. And to clean the tea bowl, his every move must also be in accordance with etiquette. Under normal circumstances, during this waiting process, everyone attending the tea party at this time will either look at the calligraphy and paintings on the wall, or appreciate the sword, or look at the courtyard from afar, and then listen carefully to the boiling sound of the water in the tea pot after boiling, accompanied by the occasional sound of water adding to the ground 'knocking' in the middle. Whether they are doing superficial work or really immersed in it, they are all able to make a posture of realizing a certain Zen state from this tea party, otherwise they will be despised by others.

But today, the representatives of the temples and shrines who were invited to participate were very quiet, in fact, they were nervous as early as outside the city, and everyone had in their hearts, "Is there a conspiracy in the Luo family?" "If the city is blocked, is there any other way to escape?" "And so on, and everyone was worried anyway. Naturally, I can't appreciate the so-called tea party, and I can't experience the so-called spiritual feelings.

As a high monk, Kuaikawa Shaoxi didn't seem to be aware of this, but manipulated the tea party more carefully. When the water finally boiled, he poured a bag of tea powder into the tea bowl, and then poured the boiling water into the tea bowl with a tea whisk, and quietly waited for the tea powder to completely blend with the water. At this time, the Japanese people drank tea or matcha, that is, the tea leaves were ground into powder and then brewed. This is also the way of drinking tea during the Song and Tang dynasties in China, but they used tea bricks or tea cakes instead, and in the Ming Dynasty, the way of drinking tea pursued the unity of heaven and man, returned to the basics, and put the pursuit of the true fragrance of tea in the first place, so it was changed from the way of making tea and drinking it to the present.

The monk Kuaichuan Shaoxi will brew the tea bowl one by one to the people present, the face of the people who are shocked and uncertain have to bite the head and respectfully serve the tea bowl, first express gratitude to the host for the hospitality, and then slowly turn the tea bowl three times, look at the tea, smell the tea fragrance, and carefully look at the tea set, and finally drink a small sip. This continued, and when everyone had finished drinking, the senior monk Kuaichuan Shaoxi brewed another pot, and drank another round and so on.

Sitting on the throne, Masato watched the expressions of everyone while drinking tea, and when he saw that these people were obviously not in the mood to drink tea, but they were pretending to enjoy it, so as to make a constipation-like expression, Masaliang couldn't help but want to laugh out loud.

When everyone finished drinking tea one after another, and the senior monk Kuaichuan Shaoxi also collected the tea set, this tea party finally came to an end. The people below peeked at Masahiro, who had been in his position and did not speak, waiting for the real topic of this tea party to begin.

"Ladies and gentlemen, there have been rumors that this family will be detrimental to everyone, and I solemnly assure you that there will be no such thing." Looking at the cautious crowd below, Masashi finally spoke.

"Wow!" As soon as Zhengliang's words came out, everyone below was immediately stunned, and then whispered.

"Here, I assure you that the Luo family has no intention of invading you, and your fields and houses will certainly not be disturbed." Looking at the people below who obviously didn't fully believe Masaara's previous words, Masato promised again.

The tea party is here, and it is basically over for Zhengliang, and the remaining specific promises will be handed over to Kuaichuan Shaoxi, Xuanzhi and other senior monks to explain in detail for him. He convened this tea party this time and made the above promises, which was just to give everyone a confidence and achieve its two goals.

The first is to disperse the local temple and shrine forces in the western country and draw the forces of the pro-Luo family over. This time, more than 130 representatives of various forces came to attend the tea party. According to intelligence, these forces are relatively close to the Luo family. For this part of the force, Masahiro intends to slowly transform, not to take strong measures, and wait until a few years later to annex it. As for the temple and shrine forces who did not participate in the tea party, Masara decided to take tough measures. Of course, once the Luo family starts to act, it is natural that some people will scold Zhengliang for treachery and breaking his promise. But since experiencing several riots in the Kyushu area, Masara has decided not to say anything about these temples and shrines, after all, the two will collide sooner or later, it is better to take advantage of the free time of the Luo family to dispose of it, so as not to make trouble at a critical moment.

The second goal is naturally to suspect other temple and shrine forces that have not moved closer to the Luo family (in fact, the tea party held by Masara this time is also a means to confuse the opponent, so that it has been bought for the Luo family for a while), so as to buy enough time for the Luo family. I believe that after the people who participated in the tea party return to various places this time, it will naturally spread the promise of Masayo in this tea party, so that those temple and shrine forces who are undecided will naturally continue to observe. And Zhengliang needs such a buffer time, so that the Luo family's army expansion, military deployment adjustment, and large-scale migration and other work can be fully carried out, and strive to complete it as much as possible. Once it is completed, it is time for the Luo family to come out. Anyway, if you want to fight, you will fight, and the Luo family will definitely give these forces a good look at that time.

So why didn't Masahiro immediately go into battle to deal with these temple and shrine forces? This is because Zhengliang has calculated that the pharmacist will immediately go into battle, although with the current strength of the Luo family, he will eventually win, but it will definitely be a miserable victory. Why?

The reason is that most of the Luo family's team had just participated in the Battle of Itsukushima and the Western Country Raiders, and their combat effectiveness and morale had declined, and they were replenishing the battle losses at this time. And as we all know, those believers are very crazy, and if they start a war, they will fight against those crazy believers in the state of the various teams of the Luo family at this time, although they will win in the end, but there will definitely be a lot of casualties. After a big war, the army of the Luo family will be seriously damaged, and the people will also suffer a lot of casualties (even like Oda Nobunaga in history, a massacre will be directly given to the believers), the territory will be made into a miasma, and the development and expansion plan of the Luo family formulated by Masaliang will definitely be greatly delayed. It's really more than worth the loss.

And to confuse those temples and shrines to gain enough time for the Luo family to adjust (in Zhengliang's view, it is best to postpone the inevitable conflict until after next year's spring ploughing, that is the best time), then the Luo family's military situation can be fully rested and prepared during this time, and the various institutions of the Luo family can also be fully prepared and intelligence investigation. The most important thing is that most of the fanatical believers on whom the power of temples and shrines rely have been dispersed and relocated to various parts of Kyushu by the Luo family at this time, and even if they riot, they can only dispatch their own monks and soldiers, and the resistance encountered by the Luo family will naturally be greatly reduced. Moreover, with the full control and preparation of the Luo family, the scope of the impact of these riots will also be minimized. (To be continued......)
