Chapter 269: Fireworks at Sea (Supplement 4)

Anti-ship missiles are different from air-to-air missiles, and they attack different targets and adopt different methods.

For example, air-to-air missiles generally fly directly over, such as the Immortal Bird missile, in order to fly farther, a higher trajectory will be used to reduce air resistance.

Anti-ship missiles, in order to avoid detection by the other side, at a great distance, will turn to ultra-low-altitude flight.

In general, depending on the range, their route options are also different.

For example, for a missile with a range of more than 100 kilometers, then it is enough to fly at ultra-low altitude almost the entire time, and at most it will fly on a high trajectory within a few dozen kilometers after launch, and this kind of missile with a range of 500 or 600 kilometers will have more choices.

The range of the missile changes with their altitude, and now, the target is more than 300 kilometers away from them, so this missile with a range of 600 kilometers has not hesitated to choose to fly at an ultra-low altitude throughout the flight, so that it is the easiest to penetrate the defense, and at the same time, it is not easy to be intercepted.

Interception at high altitude is different from interception at low altitude, high altitude interception is more reliable, while at low altitude, filtering out clutter is a troublesome task.

However, when they fly at ultra-low altitudes, they not only hide themselves, but also block their sight.

True, in the case of ultra-low-altitude flight, it is very difficult for them to find the target, so, according to the pre-designed program, at a distance of ten to twenty kilometers from the target, they will suddenly climb up from the sea level, and then, their own on-board radar will turn on and search for the target!

If they can search for a target, then they will dive down again and fly at an ultra-low altitude, almost fleeting on the opponent's radar screen.

However, this is for the shipborne radars, at this time, all of them are hidden on AWACS, looking down from the sky, no matter how low their altitude is, they will be accurately identified, and if you want to secretly attack, there is no door!

If it is other missiles in later generations, with the function of data link, then it is enough for a leading missile to fly high, and at the same time it will transmit the signal to other missiles, expose itself, and save the main force.

But now, they don't have a data link function, and all the missiles are guided by their own radars, so they have to be pulled up.

When they climbed to an altitude of several hundred meters, leveled out, the sea search and attack radar in front of the warhead began to scan the predetermined sea area.

If the target is nearby, you will definitely be able to find it.

However, they found nothing, and under the strong electromagnetic interference, their seekers could no longer distinguish which of these massive data was true and which was false.

If they have a brain, the inside of the brain should be blurry at this time, and if they have eyes, the eyes at this time are cataracts, and they can't see anything clearly.

Suddenly, they were dumbfounded, flew hundreds of kilometers, and were waiting for the final attack, but in front of them, there was nothing, nothing to be found!

What to do?

This is a difficult problem for all radar-guided missiles, and what if there is a source of interference that obscures the target?

The Immortal Bird missile provides a solution, if I can't see clearly and can't find the target, then I will find the source of interference, and whoever interferes will hit him.

However, now a large number of KH-22 anti-ship missiles have already been lost, they are like lost lambs, helpless, hesitating, continuing to fly forward, but, without finding the target, they are simply unable to attack.

"Boom!" After flying over the target area, the first missile, self-detonated, it burst into the sky with shining fireworks, illuminating the dark sea, it was unwilling, however, its mission was over.

With the first, there is the second, the third!

The Soviets' hugely expensive missiles, all of which became brilliant fireworks on the sea, blew themselves up on the surface of the sea, they would break the silence of the night sky, and they became a shameful joke.

The other Tu-95 maritime reconnaissance planes, after discovering that one of their own planes had crashed, did not continue to approach to guide, and for them, they could not overcome the powerful electromagnetic interference, and they could not accurately find the target.

At the same time, the fighters of the Americans, having already come to drive them out, could only fly away in order to avoid the fate of the same crash.

On the surface of the sea, the explosions of one anti-ship missile after another seem to tell the flaws of the sea surface saturation attack.

Electronic technology, without advanced electronic technology, everything is in vain!

The Soviet Union has always taken the concept of nuclear war as its concept, believing that integrated circuits cannot withstand the impact of nuclear explosions, and would rather use electron tubes, but the volume of electron tubes cannot continue to shrink, and their electronic systems cannot continue to improve.

Relying only on these backward missiles, it is impossible to really hit the US Navy, and a few electronic jammers have completely deceived them.

Of course, in addition to the reason for the electronic jammer, there is also a real reason, that is, there are indeed no warships there, and the sea area there is indeed empty.

A few nautical miles away, the cruiser USS Chicago.

The cruiser was still racing at a speed of 32 knots, and black smoke was rising from the chimney at the top, blending into the black night sky, and at this time, some officers and sailors, who were no longer ready for combat duty, were already standing on the deck, watching the fireworks in the sky in the distance.

After not finding the target, these missiles did not dive down at all, they flew at an altitude of several hundred meters, and then exploded, this scene, it looked so beautiful, the dark night sky, Leng was illuminated by these fireworks.

On the top of the warship, a three-coordinate SPS-43 search radar is still rotating, and on the bridge, the radar officer looks at the radar screen, constantly counting.

More than 70 of them have already exploded!

How many missiles did the Soviets lose this night? These big fireworks, one is millions of rubles, right?

The Soviets were too generous.

And the photographers, take pictures of this brilliant picture, wait until tomorrow, make the headlines of the newspapers, and see what the Soviets are like.

At this moment, suddenly, the radar officer saw a bright spot that was unusual.

He rubbed his eyes to make sure he was not mistaken, and then his voice resounded throughout the bridge: "There is a missile, flying towards us!" ”

That target is clearly displayed on his radar, and at this distance, even if the opponent attacks close to the sea, it will be found, and at this time, it is flying towards itself, and it is constantly accelerating.

Oh, God! How can there be any fish that slip through the net?
