Chapter 462: The Party at the Three Broomsticks Bar
Sirius's explanation did not ease the atmosphere, and the owner of Duke Honey's shop still looked at him with horror.
Anyone who sees a fugitive who has killed more than a dozen Muggles on the wanted warrant appear in front of him, will be terrified, even if the fugitive claims to be exonerated.
Fortunately, Dumbledore soon walked over with Ron, and after some explanation, an oolong incident was avoided.
Although this was only a small episode, it still poured cold water on Harry and the others who were happily preparing to go to Hogsmeade Village to celebrate.
So after buying a lot of strange candy, Ivan and the others didn't stay there for long, but prepared to go to the Three Broomsticks Bar and find a remote place to party.
"How can the boss there be like this, we bought so much stuff there, and he wants to get rid of us!" After coming out of Duke Honey's shop again, Harry was still a little sullen and said very dissatisfied.
"That's normal, Harry! It will always take a while for them to come to terms with my new identity! Sirius was very open-minded, he was used to it.
Even when he was at Hogwarts before, the situation was similar, except for some Gryffindor students who didn't care about his identity, the young wizards of the other houses still avoided themselves in fear.
In fact, Sirius was a little worried that the owner of the Three Broomsticks Bar would kick them out as well, so that today's celebration would not be possible.
It wasn't all that bad, and the owner, Ms. Rosmerta, was very sensible and well-informed of running a bar, so she wasn't surprised to see Sirius.
"Mr. Black, congratulations on your new life!" Miss Rosmerta poured a glass of butterbeer and pushed it in front of Sirius, smiling.
"This cup is what I gave you for free..."
"Thank you... Lady! Sirius was a little flattered, took the cup and raised his hand to signal, and poured it in.
"It's been a long time since I've drunk this wine, and the taste hasn't changed at all!" Sirius sighed heartily, dangling the empty glass on the table, wiping the wine stains from the corners of his mouth with his sleeve.
"By the way, we're going to find a place to celebrate here without disturbing your business, right?" Sirius glanced inside the bar, it was quite lively, most of the round tables were full, and there were only a few vacancies.
However, with his arrival, the atmosphere inside cooled down somewhat, and everyone turned their eyes to this side, staring at Sirius with a suspicious, wary gaze.
"As long as you pay, I have no reason to drive away my guests!" Ms. Rosmerta put away the empty glass and said with a smile.
"That's right!" Sirius laughed as well, and he raised his voice, glancing around at the other people in the bar, and spoke.
"Well, in order to celebrate my successful exoneration, all the consumption in the three brooms tonight will be treated by me!"
As he spoke, Sirius grabbed a handful of gold gallons from his wizard's robe and sprinkled it on the counter as an advance deposit.
These gold galleons were all in the pocket of the wizard's robe when he bought the fire crossbow arrows, and the little pocket money he took out along the way.
The Aurors of the Ministry of Magic searched him when they tied him up, but they didn't dare to take the money away, so they kept it and used it now.
Sirius's heroism shocked the wizards throughout the tavern, and the tavern erupted in applause and cheers... The atmosphere in the tavern suddenly became eager.
"Boss, three more bottles.. No, ten bottles of Butterbeer! ”
"Hahaha... Mr. Black is really atmospheric! Boss, bring me thirty bottles of rum, I'm going to die here drunk today!" ”
"Davis would have been angry if he knew that the drinks were free tonight, but who told him bad luck that he didn't come today..."
......
For most drunken drunkards, as long as they can drink for free, even if they stay in a tavern with a murderer, it is not unacceptable.
What's more, Sirius seems to have cleared his suspicions, so there is nothing to fear.
Looking at the guests in the tavern whose attitude had changed greatly, Ivan couldn't cry or laugh for a while, not knowing whether to say that Sirius was wronged, or whether he was smart and flexible...
Because for Sirius, who is not short of money, it may be more important to be able to celebrate without being disturbed than a few hundred Galleons...
Just as several drunken drunkards raised their glasses to welcome, Ivan and the others found a vacant seat and sat down, piling all the snacks they bought on the table.
Sirius took a bottle of Butterbeer from another table and poured a glass for everyone.
Harry and Ron were delighted, they had been trying Butterbeer but hadn't had a chance.
Sirius, however, took the wine and swung it around their glasses before pausing again, glancing at Dumbledore before patting his head as if he had just remembered something.
"Oh, by the way, I almost forgot, you're not old enough to drink!"
Sirius shook his head regretfully, turned to Miss Rosmerta, and shouted loudly.
"Boss, have a few glasses of violet water and snail cherry syrup soda, no ice!"
"No, that's what you're supposed to drink!" Waiting for the drink cup to be served, Sirius said very seriously.
Harry and Ron's expressions changed to disappointment, but they didn't have the courage to break the school rules in front of Professor Dumbledore.
So in the end, only Sirius and Dumbledore drank butterbeer, while Ivan and the others could only drink obediently.
Just eating snacks and drinking drinks, in a burst of laughter, congratulating Sirius on finally getting his wrongs.
Originally, because of Dumbledore's presence, everyone seemed a little restrained, but soon they found that the old professor could also have fun, and would joke with them from time to time.
Even halfway through, Sirius secretly replaced Harry and the others' drinks with butterbeer for them to taste, but Dumbledore turned a blind eye and didn't see it.
When Ivan was chatting, he also stared at Dumbledore's every move with some distraction, and keenly noticed that the old professor deliberately used his left hand to accomplish everything the whole time, and his right hand was always hidden in his sleeve.
This made Ivan feel more and more strange, if it weren't for Phoenix Fawkes staying on Dumbledore's shoulder very affectionately, he would have wondered if Dumbledore in front of him was someone else pretending.
Or is it because you can't use your other hand?
