Chapter 92: Quidditch in the Rain

The next morning, Maca woke up from her bed in her dorm room.

To be honest, I sat in Lupin's office last night until the wee hours of the morning and didn't come back until I was late, and I didn't sleep long in total. At this point, he yawned as he put on his clothes again, and then left gently.

There's still a lot to do today, like the Quidditch tournament that will start in a moment.

The thunder outside was still incessant, and the fierce winds crashed against the castle's outer walls, and of course the windows were not spared.

Luckily, the Hufflepuff dormitories are all underground, and there are apparently no windows here - only tiny vents lined up in the corners to keep the air circulating.

But as soon as Maca came to the corridor on the first floor, she immediately noticed the roaring wind and torrential rain outside, which were obviously stronger than yesterday!

Maca cast a waterproof charm on herself and walked in the direction of the greenhouse, rain or shine.

Most of the students had just gotten up until Maca had taken care of the flowers and plants and came to the auditorium to fill their stomachs.

"Hey, Maka, I heard you're going to play today?" Hermione spotted Maca walking towards the Hufflepuff table, and she greeted her, asking curiously.

Harry and Ron followed, but neither of them looked very good.

It wasn't clear what Ron was thinking, but Harry's mood was easy to guess. Lately, he'd probably been annoyed by Sirius Black, as if everyone was telling him to be careful of being attacked.

In fact, it has to be counted with Snape's Defence Against the Dark Arts class yesterday.

He tried his best to belittle Lupin's teaching skills in class, and even called Hermione "jack of all trades" again because of her incessant raising of her hand to speak, which brought Hermione to tears.

Of course, the unluckiest of all was Ron. He couldn't resist Snape, and was sent to the school hospital to wipe the pot of the night - no magic was allowed.

Comparatively speaking, Hermione's mood recovered the fastest.

"yes!" Maca looked at Hermione and nodded, "Anyway, I'm a member of Hufflepuff too, so I have to make something to contribute, don't I?" ”

Although this is just a pretext for Maca, at least it is a very reasonable explanation, and no one should be surprised by it.

"Oh-I think so." Hermione smiled and encouraged, "Hopefully you and Harry can bring out the best in each other, even though the weather isn't good." ”

"Thank you!" Maka said, walking over and hooking Harry's neck, "Don't care if you have it, Harry. If you're in a better mood and have any troubles, come to me, and if you can, I'll help you out. ”

"It would be better to get Snape to speak less ill of Professor Lupin." Ron suddenly preemptively said, "For this, I wiped the night pot for nearly two hours last night!" ”

Hearing this, Maca spread her hands and said, "I'm afraid I can't do this, probably no one's words will work except for Dumbledore...... As for Professor Lupin, he'll be back tomorrow for Defence Against the Dark Arts class. ”

"Oh, really?"

Harry finally showed a look of surprise, it was probably the only good news he had heard in the past two days.

"Yes, that's right." Maca said, "You can always lift your spirits now, right?" In a little bit of a game, I'm not going to show mercy. ”

"Even though Slytherin escaped the bad weather, think about it another way, at least we don't have to deal with those little Slytherin moves in the middle of a raging storm, which is also nice, you say?"

Harry sensed that what Maca said did make sense, and couldn't help but nod.

Quidditch has always been a popular sport, and the whole school went out to watch the match on the pitch as usual.

They ran across the lawn to the Quidditch pitch, their heads bowed against the wind.

But after all, not everyone can cover their whole body with a waterproof charm like Maca, and most people carry their own umbrellas to brave the storm. Halfway through, several people's umbrellas were blown out of their hands by the strong wind, blowing all the way into the air.

But even so, it couldn't extinguish everyone's enthusiasm.

In the Hufflepuff locker room, Cedric was mobilizing everyone before the game.

Speaking of which, Maca knows a lot of spells that can be used to make a small boost to your team's level in the Rainstorm. It may be a foul in an official match, but it's relatively easy to drill a leak in the Quidditch Cup at Hogwarts.

It's just that he doesn't have this idea, to put it bluntly, he didn't come to win.

When Cedric had said what he had to say, everyone walked out of the locker room and into the entrance hall.

Maca stepped on the broom with everyone and flew out into the dense rain curtain.

The wind was really strong, and almost everyone was affected to varying degrees, even maca. But he quickly stabilized his body and flew to a stop in the middle of the stadium amid the cheers of the audience.

Below, the captains flew to the center of the field to shake hands - Diggory smiled at Wood, but Wood now looked like he had trismus, he just nodded, and occasionally raised his head to look at Maka.

Everyone could see that Maca's sudden entry had put a lot of pressure on him.

Harry flew past the opposite field, and Maca nodded at him. Harry smiled, but his smile was stiff. The wind and rain on the field were so great and quite cold that he felt like he was about to freeze.

Mrs. Hodge put the whistle to her mouth and blew it hard, making a shrill whistle. The whistle was covered in the sound of heavy rain and sounded more like it was coming from afar.

The Quaffle flies high in the hazy rain and the game begins!

Maca was the first to move, and the light wheel 2000 he was sitting on instantly accelerated, leading him to break through the rain and rush straight towards the Quaffle.

He caught the Quaffle with precision and sprinted like a sharp knife towards the Gryffindor half.

The torrential rain kept falling, and everyone's vision was greatly restricted, and Maca's speed was extremely fast. For a moment, the Gryffindor team didn't even have time to see where Maca had gone.

Soon, Maca rushed straight in front of George Weasley.

George saw Maca clearly, but Maca's speed was so fast that the two were almost bumping!

At this moment, Maca's body instantly leaned to the left, and the whole person slid under the broom, as if hanging upside down on the broom. He and George narrowly passed by, scaring George into a daze.

After breaking through George, Maca immediately adjusted her body and sprinted directly towards Wood, the captain and goalkeeper, before anyone else arrived.

Wood is under a lot of pressure, very much! But after all, he is a veteran player, and he can barely control his mentality at this time, defending seriously, and planning to intercept Maca once in a desperate way.

"At least once! It's okay to do it once! Wood muttered, his eyes fixed on the direction Maka was coming from.

It's close! It's closer! It's already in the scoring zone! He's about to pitch!

Wood struggled to the knocker on the left, because Maca had chosen that side! The speed was so fast, it was impossible for him to change direction.

But in this almost impossible situation, Maca suddenly flicked the broom handle to the right rear!

In order to increase the small arc deflection brought by the high-speed steering, his whole body fell to the right, and the whole person was almost maintained at a horizontal angle to the ground.

Halo 2000 slashed through an arc in mid-air, and even the rain was carried out in an arc.

The Quaffle was forced into the right knocker by Maca, and the first ten points were produced less than two minutes into the opening period!

The commentator shouted excitedly - such a difficult goal is rare in a semi-professional tournament!

But after five minutes, all the players were soaked inside and out.

It was cold, many people were frozen, and it was hard to see the rest of their teammates, let alone the long Bludgers.

Everyone was flying around the pitch, and all they could see was a blur of red and yellow figures, not knowing how the game was going on.

In the midst of the strong winds, the audience hid under cloaks and umbrellas that had long been blown apart by the wind, and the cheers and cheers were only faintly audible.

Many of the players were almost hit by Bludger's broomsticks, and the rain made it so hard that everyone could barely open their eyes, and they couldn't see the ball coming from the opposite side.

In fact, Maca has also been affected. Except for scoring a goal at the beginning of his good form, he has never found any chance to get the ball.

Of course, this has a lot to do with the fact that he didn't put his mind on the ball.

But even so, when he spotted Gryffindor's chaser Katie Bell throwing the Quaffle at another teammate, Maca, who happened to be flying, intercepted the ball.

Time passed, and before I knew it, the score had risen to 60-10, and Hufflepuff had a full fifty-point lead.

At that moment, Mrs. Hooch's whistle sounded with lightning for the first time since the opening.

On Gryffindor's side, Harry could faintly see Wood's silhouette in the dense rain curtain, and the other party was motioning for him to come down to the ground.

The whole team splashed water and landed on the muddy turf of the field.

"I called a timeout!" Wood yelled at the team, "Come on, get down thereβ€”"

They huddled under a large umbrella on the edge of the court, and Hufflepuff got under the other side, and both sides took advantage of the timeout to have an emergency meeting.

Harry took off his glasses and hurriedly wiped them on his robe.

"What's the score?" He asked.

"We're fifty points behind," Wood said, "I think we've got to catch the Golden Snitch as quickly as possible, or the score will continue to growβ€”"

"But I can't see at all - I can't see anything clearly, I can't do anything with my glasses!" Harry said dejectedly, waving his glasses.

Just then, Hermione appeared next to Harry.
