Chapter 15: Meet the Mysterious Girl Again
"Malfoy lied to you," Hermione said to Harry, "you get it, don't you?" He wasn't going to go up there to meet you at all - Filch knew someone was going to the prize showroom, and it must have been Malfoy who had revealed the news to him! β
Harry thought Hermione might be right, but he clearly didn't want to agree with Hermione.
"Let's go." Harry turned.
However, it's not that simple.
They had barely walked a dozen steps when they heard the rattle of the spherical handle of a door, and something popped out of a classroom in front of them.
That's Peeves! As soon as he saw them, he screamed with joy.
"Shut up, Peeves! Please, you will cause us to be expelled. Ron said with a bitter face.
Peeves giggled, it didn't care what Ron was talking about.
"Nasty freshman, wandering around in the middle of the night. Tsk, tsk, tsk, naughty, naughty, you're going to be caught. It imitated the Sorting Hat, and said in a strange tone.
"Peeves, do you want to know where all that silver blood came from Baro the Bloody?" Maca looked at it for a while, then suddenly spoke.
"Huh?" Peeves was startled when he heard the name, and obviously showed a hint of timidity, "How, how?" β
"Hehe, let me tell you, Barrow has always been fond of eating spirits during his lifetime, and it has been the same until after his death......" Marka's face suddenly became very gloomy, and her tone of voice was also very long, looking a little eerie.
"I just saw him passing by over there, did you see him?"
"Oh! Noβ"
Peeves screamed and ran through the wall in one fell swoop.
"Oh, Maca, you're so cool!" Ron said, and Harry and Neville nodded in agreement.
"Spirits?" Hermione was a little curious, "What does this have to do with Peeves, isn't it a ghost?" β
"I asked Barrow the Bloody - Peeves is a noisy poltergeist, it's not a ghost." Maca shook her head, "It can touch entities, which ordinary ghosts can't. β
"You talk to Barrow the Bloody! He looks scary, doesn't he? Ron said in surprise.
Maca shook her head again, beckoning everyone to come up, and casually explained, "Barrow the Bloody is a nice guy, don't be intimidated by his appearance, he has always been loyal to Hogwarts, both before and after his death. Alajo Cave Open! β
The others were distracted by his sudden act of pulling out his wand and chanting a spell, and they looked back to see that they had unknowingly reached the end of the hallway.
"Go find a place to hide, at least avoid Fair......" Marka said as she stopped.
"What's the matter, why don't you go in?" Ron asked, lowering his voice.
ββ¦β¦ I think," Marca pulled back, turning his head and smiling awkwardly, "that it might be better for us to meet Filch." β
Maca slammed the door back shut, and there was a deafening roar from inside.
"That's a big dog." Harry seemed to glance at the door before it closed.
"Yes, a dog with three heads." Maca spread her hands, and then immediately said, "Run!" β
As if to match Maca's words, the door panel shook violently, and the big dog must have been pounding it frantically inside.
They went back into the hallway, and they ran away, literally running. Filch must have been too busy looking for them elsewhere, they didn't see him, and they didn't careβthey only wanted to get away from the monster as far as they could.
Harry and his party stopped until they reached the portrait of the fat lady on the eighth floor, only to find that Maca was gone.
"I saw him running downstairs, probably back to the Hufflepuff dorm." Hermione gasped.
In fact, Marca didn't go straight back to the dorm, but went to the Hogwarts kitchen to get something to eat - he hadn't eaten much for dinner, and now he was running back and forth, feeling a little hungry.
β¦β¦
For Maca now, "resting" is a luxury, because he always feels that there is not enough time.
After the night she and Harry spent night at Hogwarts, Maca returned to her studies and research. Not only Potions, but also other subjects should not be too slow, at least not too slack until they reach the point where they are not afraid of actual combat.
After all, there's a Voldemort on the covers! He didn't want to be left without the ability to defend himself when the Death Eaters attacked.
After the invisibility potion is configured, he will break into the forbidden book area at night. If possible, he would also like to study the so-called "black magic" to see how it is essentially different from other magic.
Time always passes quietly and inadvertently, and when you look back, you realize that a lot has changed around you.
On Halloween's Eve, Maca only found out when he met the mysterious Slytherin girl in the library again. Before he knew it, he had been at Hogwarts for almost two months.
"Excuse me, do you know where the book on 'how to grow a wrinkled fig' is placed?"
Again, a flat tone without any ups and downs, another question that was almost the same as last time, and again standing behind Maca. This made Maca look at the girl speechlessly, and after a while he pulled one out of the large number of books stacked in front of him and placed it in front of the seat next to him.
"I just have it here, you can sit down and read." Maca suggested softly.
To Maca's surprise, the girl obediently pulled out the back chair, then put down the notebook in her hand and sat down quietly beside Maca. He thought that this girl never listened to what others said!
After a while, Maca watched as the girl flipped through the thick book back and forth, holding a pale green quill in her right hand, but not a single word had been written in the notebook.
"Is there any difficulty?" Maca couldn't help but ask.
"There are too many steps and too many words, and I don't know where to start." The girl raised her head and said solemnly.
For the first time, Maca saw the mysterious girl's appearance clearly - the big round eyes, the petite and delicate nose, and the delicate skin that was so white that it almost had a sense of transparency, all announced that this was a very delicate and lovely girl.
Well, and a few strands of hair looming out from under the brim of her hat, her hair seemed to be white, an extremely unhealthy-looking white.
She probably didn't like people to see her hair, so she tucked it all into a pointed hat.
ββ¦β¦ Remember: wrinkled figs, deciduous plants, with strong root systems, can survive in winter. Low water requirement, watering interval of 1-2 weeks; Medium fertilizer requirement, 3-5 weeks fertilization interval, the best ...... of dragon manure fertilizer"
Maca turned her head to look at the book and remembered it, then sorted it out as she went through it. The girl didn't seem to worry that Maca would make a mistake, and wrote it down verbatim with a quill pen.
Maca watched the girl write the last letter, and was about to say something, but the girl suddenly closed the notebook, and then put the book back on the pile of books in front of Maca.
Immediately, in Maca's surprised eyes, he silently got up and left the library without saying a word.
"βagain?" Maca touched her nose and whispered to herself, "Am I acting too annoying?" Or does she not like the help of others? Or is it simply too introverted? β
When she woke up the next morning, Maca smelled the sweet smell of roasted pumpkin wafting through the hallway. To be honest, Maca doesn't like pumpkins, he doesn't like all the food made from pumpkins, and the slippery texture of the pumpkin pulp makes him feel greasy.
After the first class in the morning, Maca walked through the crowded hallways with the others, and the next class was Professor Flitwick's Charms class, and she had to go upstairs.
ββ¦β¦ No wonder everyone can't stand her," Maca suddenly heard Ron's voice faintly in the crowd, "To be honest, she's like a nightmare." β
Then, he noticed a girl crashing headfirst into his arms.
"Oh, Merlin is on top! I think it's a bit too sudden, and I'm not ready for it...... Hermione? "Maca took a closer look, this messy long hair, who was it not Miss Granger?
"I think she heard you." Maca heard Harry's voice again, but couldn't see where they were.
"Oh, yes, I'm sorry." Hermione didn't seem to realize who she had bumped into.
"Uh, it's okay, I mean, what's going on, Hermione?" Maca looked down at her and noticed that her eyes were red, "Who bullied you?" β
"Ahh Maka, no, it's okay......"
Hermione glanced up at him, and then ran away. Maca looked at Hermione, who quickly disappeared into the crowd, feeling a little inexplicable - what was going on?
As the so-called "authority fan", when you are in an environment, you will always ignore something because of the richness of the things around you. It wasn't until Maca arrived at the door of the restaurant at dinner time today that he overheard two Gryffindor girls talking to each other.
ββ¦β¦ Did you see Hermione today? β
"I just found Hermione, she's been crying in the women's bathroom, and she doesn't let anyone comfort her."
Maca suddenly came to his senses and looked at the colorful Halloween decorations in the dining room before he realized - Quirrell must have been putting the trolls in by this time!
"Third floor? Could it be Myrtle's bathroom? β
Maca thought as she quickly ran back, until she reached the second floor and felt that something was wrong.
"What is Quirrell's purpose...... Oh! Philosopher's Stone! β
For the past two months, Maca has been immersed in the ocean of magical knowledge, and has almost forgotten about the Philosopher's Stone.
"So, where is it convenient to bring in the troll, and also make it easy for him to escape from the crowd?" Maca calmed down and thought about it for a while, and quickly came to the conclusion that Hermione was in the basement!
