It can be seen that as a "major event of the country", "worship and Rong" are not only directly related to respect when "worshipping", but also "Rong" is often related to whether there is respect and survival.

Disrespect in exchanges between countries can easily lead to bad relations, and even go to extremes. In the two Song dynasties, many historical materials show that Erlang God refers to Li Bing's second son, and at the beginning of the Southern Song Dynasty, Liu Zongyuan's "Dragon City Record" appeared again Zhao Yu, but it was not stated that Zhao Yu was "Erlang God", only that Zhao Yu's temple food irrigated the Jiangkou, which provided a basis for Zhao Yu to become "Erlang God" in the Yuan Dynasty.

Later, volume 34 of the "History of the Yuan": "The first year of Zhishun...... He crowned Li Bing, the Taishou of Qinshu County, as the King of Shengde Guangyu Yinghui, and his son Erlang God was the King of Yingli Zhaohui Lingxian Renyu. ”

In the Yuan Dynasty, Qin Zijin's "New Compilation of Lianxiang Sou Shen Guangji" "Qingyuan Miaodao Zhenjun" appeared in the record that Song Zhenzong named Zhao Yu as "Qingyuan Miaodao Zhenjun": Song Zhenzong Dynasty, Yizu was in turmoil, and the emperor sent Zhang Qianya into Shu to govern it. The Erlang God of the Yuan Dynasty continued the two theories of Li Bing's second son and Zhao Yu in the Song Dynasty. The Erlang God in "Journey to the West" is a fusion of Li Bing's second son and Zhao Yu's factors, such as "Chicheng" is the title given to Zhao Yu by Tang Xuanzong in "Dragon City Record", and "Zhaohui" is the title given to Li Erlang by Song Huizong. The Erlang God and the Great Sage Fighting Method is derived from the Yuan and Ming Dynasty miscellaneous drama "Erlang God Locks the Monkey King".
