Chapter 1093: Confronting the Void
The plasma barrage sent a searing explosion, a carpet bombardment tearing apart the swarm, and broken limbs spread all over Kaisha's path, paving a path to destruction.
Rao's efficient slaughter did not reduce the number of swarms, and four of the nine statues, black tentacles transformed by void energy kept dripping from the cracks of icicles, and they wriggled wildly to join the boiling swarm.
Seeing this scene, Kaisha could only run harder......
Although someone else lured the monster away, going to the middle of the cave to save people still had to take the greatest risk. The threat posed by the Monitor deity is simply not comparable to the number of these low-level secondary creatures.
Once Kai'Sa had drawn most of the swarm to the far end of the cavern, Geno took a step and headed for Lisandro in the center. Immediately after crossing the cordon, the monster in the darkness attacked him.
He strode forward, dodging the tentacles that ricocheted in the darkness, tips raining down on him, failing to penetrate his armor. But as he passed the icicles, black cords shot out of the cracks, wrapping around his arms and thighs like ropes.
Resistance came from all fours, and the movement began to freeze, and the eternal flame welled up from Jeno's hands, trying to burn all obstacles and rush in unstoppably.
But the moment the flames ignited, he felt an invisible weight suddenly envelop his body, and something seemed to flicker in the corner of his eye, tempting him to look over. The pressure made his temples stir like worms wriggling under his skin, and the weight of silence weighed down on him, and then all his senses seemed to blur......
A sense of crisis surged over the Heavenly Spirit Gai, and Jeno regained control of his body. Then he noticed that the insects around him were afraid of the flames in his hands, and he stopped at some point, standing on the ice and staring down.
A large one-eyed looked back at him, unblinking.
The insatiable hunger enveloped him, his soul wrinkled with trembling, and a subduing force worked on his body, enslaving him to meet the giant, soulless, one-eyed.
It is a life formed by the unknown transformation of the ghost floating in the void when it enters the material world, and each ability touches the apex that can be reached under the laws of the material world.
In other words, it is infinitely close to being a god in the true sense of the word, the strongest being on the surface.
Its gaze seeped into him, penetrated him, and he felt his sanity begin to pull like a wheel of spool being tossed into the night. A substantial gaze stirred his bowels, and the edges of his vision began to be surrounded by black shadows, squirming and meandering, as if to be swallowed up by the darkness.
Jeno's will spontaneously chose to resist, rejecting this slavery from the inside out, and finally he completely resisted the gaze.
He did not succumb to the pressure of the watchers, and the flame in his hand was extinguished for fear of being watched, but instead used the light of the flame to consider the other party's form.
There were about twenty feet of ice between him and the Shadow Behemoth, but it was only a thin layer of glass for the distance between the two worlds, and it was extremely foolish to put the future on a precarious layer of glass.
He saw that the giant eye was surrounded by dark, curly, tentacled limbs. Even the sea monsters of Bilgewater are dwarfed by it, perhaps only the legendary Naga Kapoulos can match it.
A creature of this size could not have existed, and in front of it, Jeno felt too small to be mentioned.
There was life hidden in that gaze, and a vast, unknowable wisdom that wanted to pass through his pupils to his mind, and to water his mind with strange energy.
That will allow him to predict the end of the world and spy on the true meaning of life and death.
But Jeno looked away stiffly, rejecting the Void's "kindness" to soothe. The void whispered in his ear, but he had already remembered his purpose, and walked firmly towards Lisandro.
The light of the flames dispelled the outbounds, and he came behind her.
"Lisandro, leave ...... with me"
Before she could finish speaking, Lisandro spun around and flung her magic to her feet.
"Get on your knees!" The detonation of the primordial power froze everything around Lisandro instantly, including Jeno, who was caught off guard and his legs were frozen in the thick ice below his knees. Because it's buried in ice below the knee, it looks like kneeling.
Jeno was shocked and angry, and then he saw her face, distorted and hateful with hatred, and no longer had any human radiance.
This is...... Driven crazy by pressure?
Lisandro told him the answer in action.
She waved her hands and projected ice spears at him. Each move was fierce, swift, and cruel, no different from treating those void creatures.
The heavy hood was thrown off and rolled into the darkness by the violent swing of her body, causing her hair to spread out, and her white hair was clearly rooted because of static electricity, flowing behind her into a white match.
She screamed hysterically, like a witch at the end of her rope, turned into a madman who had lost her mind. The unnatural arms glowed with cold light, and each ice spear thrown carried a strong accusation.
"You dare to appear in front of me! Because you forced your way into the fortress, the seal that I had been holding on to was loosened! ”
"You are the ones who are destroying the world!"
"No one can escape the fate of annihilation, I will kill you and sacrifice you to the lies in the ice!"
"Ice will take everything away after all!"
“……”
"Stop, I've brought the Ice Gem!"
Jeno tried to explain something, but Lisandro didn't listen to him in the slightest. The ice spear exploded outside the crystal armor, and the ice crystals that grew spread to his eyes, and he turned into a giant ice sculpture under Lisandro's frantic onslaught.
The flames in her hands were frozen out, and the insects that were hiding on the edge of the light rushed to Lisandro. They are like pests that eat the light, and every inch of the black spread is crowded with these abominable figures.
Squirming, writhing unnatural limbs, cutting and gnawing at fresh life with sharp mouthparts that have no aesthetic sense. Eating flesh and blood grows the exact opposite.
In the disgusting ghostly purple light, the one-eyed watched everything silently.
Bang!
Jeno shattered the ice sculpture from the inside, kicked open the back door, and staggered out of the coffin that Lisandro had equipped for himself.
His eyebrows were covered with heavy hoarfrost, and his hair was frozen to the touch of it. But he wasn't in the mood to bother with that right now, and he walked around the ice sculpture and went back to the front to see what was going on in the middle of the cave.
Lisandro was surrounded by a dense swarm of insects, and the ground was covered with frantically wriggling black tentacles, like a flowing black carpet, surging towards her quickly. She was like a magnet surrounded by black iron filings, and she couldn't get out of the monster siege on her own.
"You must be crazy." Geno stared at the Frost Witch muttering to herself, shuddering and exhaling a mouthful of hoarfrost.
