382 Night Escape

Downey agreed to Lawrence's suggestion, but didn't talk to the shopkeeper about it right now. But tonight, when the two of them were about to leave, they stopped by to talk to the shopkeeper.

If he's willing to drop everything in this town and leave with Donnie, take him with him, or else knock him out and leave him behind.

Even though Donnie's mind hasn't changed, he still doesn't want to cause an argument at this time.

Fortunately, Lawrence is not the kind of person who runs all the way to the black, and he doesn't have to save this suspicious person, so he directly agreed to Donnie's request.

But no matter what, Lawrence didn't eat the fried food after that, and went straight to starvation until the evening.

It wasn't until the light of the setting sun completely disappeared from the gloomy end of the sea that the owner of the inn hobbled back.

Both Downey and Lawrence could hear his dull and dragging footsteps in the room, and the old man's footsteps quickly stopped, and he was standing outside the door of Donnie and Lawrence's room.

After a few more moments, the innkeeper continued to drag away with his heavy footsteps.

In the process, Donnie, along with Lawrence and the Paper Elves, are all on their toes, ready to deal with a monster who crashes open the door. But he didn't do it.

Seeing this, Lawrence breathed a sigh of relief, but he immediately saw Donnie pointing out the window.

"It's getting dark, we'll be on the move in two hours." After Lawrence finished speaking, he dragged the paper goblin lying on top of his head and tossed it aside, and went to rest himself.

For some reason, the inhabitants of Insenos seem to enjoy walking outside at this time, but this time should not be fixed, in Downey's opinion, it should be a quarter of an hour after the sun sets.

Downey hadn't seen as many of the townspeople of Insenos as he had seen in the past few minutes that day, and he was standing by the window, watching the pedestrians in the street below.

In addition to the somewhat ugly countenance, the people of Insenos seem to have deteriorated their legs and feet as they get older, and almost everyone who looks a little older has a similar pace to that of the innkeeper, stiff, sluggish, and even a little rigid, as if their joints are rusty.

Although they don't seem to have much combat power, they are actually not, as long as they can enter the water, they can exert their combat power beyond ordinary people. Of course, that's all, after all, they are not weird, their strength is stronger than most people, but the strength is not outrageous.

In addition to the fact that these people like to come out and walk during this time period, Downey also found that their goal was almost the same, which was a church with low white pointed towers in the four corners.

Downey stood by the window for more than ten minutes, and saw dozens of people walking by one after another, and they should have all entered the church. But judging from the appearance of that church alone, it should not be able to accommodate so many people, and it is estimated that there are other arrangements inside.

Neither Downey nor Lawrence had the idea of exploring the secrets of that church now. Donnie extinguished this idea in the first place, and Lawrence planned to settle the matter and tell Fort Thirteen the news so that they could send someone to investigate again.

An hour passed quickly, and Downey still hadn't heard the innkeeper's footsteps, and it was clear that he hadn't returned.

At this time, it was time for Donnie and Lawrence to set off, neither of them intended to delay any longer, and took the belongings that had been packed up a long time ago, and Downey took back Pepper, who had been studying all day, pushed open the door and left.

The sky of Insenos is full of stars, but the starry sky above this town is actually a little different from the starry sky elsewhere, with a few more stars, bright and dark.

The people of Insenos were convinced that the starlight would fall down the sharp corners of the four stone towers along the invisible passage, and that their great gods would wake up from a long slumber that had not been awakened for a long time.

That's what Donnie knows about this place, but the information he's seen from forums that everyone used to be able to browse isn't necessarily accurate.

Lawrence, apparently noticing the stars in the night sky, walked ahead to open the way, and the two soon came to the window of the shop where they were shopping at noon.

By this time, the fast-food restaurants had long since closed their doors, because there were few shops in the town of Senos, and the owners did their business in a free way, opening late during the day and closing early at night.

While Downey was standing by the window, he noticed that the lady of the fast-food restaurant had also left, and had gone to the church with the same stiff steps, so that the owner of the shop who wanted to ask them for help should be the only one left here.

But the truth wasn't necessarily accurate, and at least Downey wasn't quite sure that the man would pin his hopes of escaping on the two of them.

As it turned out, Donnie's idea was correct.

Because there was no one in the house, Donnie and the others pounced, and the man in the house had disappeared long before they came.

"What's going on? Why do you ask us for help if you don't need to? Lawrence was a little weird, but he and Donnie knew that now was not the time to think about it.

The impala had already been arranged by Lawrence, and Lawrence at this time had no burden in his heart, and ran northeast with Donnie, and from this direction through the town of Insenos, he would see a large and very desolate rocky beach.

Because the Senos never had the intention of sweeping away the rubble, and there was nothing good here, no one else would have thought of removing it, so it has been preserved until now.

This is where Downey and Lawrence chose, and an hour's or so walk at the pace of an ordinary person would take them out of the rocky beach and into the road leading to town.

And Donnie and they will be faster, or they will leave soon. At that point, Pepper could have used paper magic to make a car and carry them away.

However, Donnie and Lawrence had just arrived at the edge of Insenos in the darkness of the night, when they suddenly found a group of people talking about something in front of several buildings on the outermost side of the town, made of cold gray and hard stones.

Judging by the slight sound, this is not a normal human voice, it seems to be another language.

The light of the moon shone on these people, and Donnie and Lawrence hid behind the wall to see clearly, these people in front of them were the inhabitants of Insenos, and they were the most ugly among the inhabitants.

But in this town, people's perceptions are different from the outside world, and the definition of beauty and ugliness is also different. Therefore, the people standing in front of Donnie and them have a high status in the town of Insenos.
