Chapter 1099: Black Sun
By making "reasonable" use of the rules of the dream realm, Jeno makes Lisandro appear in front of him.
She squatted in front of her, dressed in animal skins, with white hair and snow behind her head, her skin was fair but not pale, her skeleton was within the range of normal size, and her bright eyes revealed sadness that spanned the past and the present.
This is before she met the Watcher, she was only a war mother of Freljord, and she was not some legendary three sisters who have been passed down through the ages.
Lisandro was not surprised to see Jeno, because she knew that it was in a dream, and anything that happened in a dream was possible.
"Do what you're supposed to do, weave dreams to appease the watchers."
Jeno drove her in a commanding tone, and Lisandro only looked up at him, sighed long, and then buried her chin in her knees, and hugged her tightly.
"Everything is in vain, and the dream that I have painstakingly managed for nearly 10,000 years is not ruined. The Watcher has awakened, its struggle is no longer a soft dream, and I can't drag it back into its cradle. β
Compared to the crazy paranoia in reality, Lisandro in the dream seems much more sensible, and Jeno feels that there is still a possibility of in-depth communication between them, and he does not need to use his talent to take her over immediately.
"I brought the Ice Gem." Jeno said.
"Ice Gems? Heh-" Lisandro smiled, smiling helplessly, "If you had given it to me earlier, I would have only needed to make some ice out of gems to repair the cracks in the icicles, perhaps the Watcher would still be indulging in dreams...... But now, a single Ice Gem is no longer enough, unless you can still find an entire Yeti clan as a sacrifice to reseal the Watcher. β
"But can you?" Her sad questioning left Jeno speechless.
Ice gems were not unique in the past, and many magical snowmen possessed the same, innate treasures, but they were all squeezed dry by Lisandro to create the seal beneath the abyss.
No one knows better than she what the Yeti are in right now, and the Yeti who have lost their magic are just manic and low-intelligence beasts.
"I'm sorry, I can't." Jeno didn't know why he apologized, it was obviously the result of Lisandro's own work. Her grief is genuine, and perhaps it was not her intention to sacrifice the snowman.
"But there is no escaping it, and we should do everything we can to prevent the end of the world, even if we will be the first to be crushed."
"We?" Lisandro looked at Jeno with a puzzled look, searching for him for what kind of ability he possessed to reverse the dead.
But she didn't see anything, and lowered her head in despair.
Pipe dream.
A sense of frustration welled up in Jeno's heart, as if the woman looked down on his conditions when he went on a blind date, and he couldn't imagine that there would be a day when he needed to prove himself.
Since it's in a dream, you can do anything, right?
"Lisandro, look up and look at me." Jeno commanded again.
Originally, she didn't hold out any hope, but when she looked up, what she saw in front of her shocked her beyond measure.
What she saw was no longer just Jeno aloneβa giant of pure souls stood behind him, ten thousand meters tall, far more than any old god she had ever seen, not even a watcher as huge as a mountain. She looked up at the giant, who seemed to reach the sun with his hand, and if he fell, he could fill the whole sea. In front of him, she felt so small and insignificant, like a grain of frost in a blizzard.
But here are the dreams.
"Is this true? Not your deception in your dreams? Lisandro asked, trembling slightly.
"What's the good of lying to you? Should I rush to death? β
Jeno replied in the affirmative, the giant was the sum of all the soul powers he had collected in recent years. They have been erased from their original shapes, erased of useless memories, and left with the purest soul essence, returning to their roots.
"But that's not enough to contend with the Watcher, whose hunger is enough to consume the entire plane."
Lisandro is arguably the one who knows the Watcher best, but every time she confronts it, she still convulses, and it hasn't diminished for 10,000 years.
"As long as I can pull it back to my dream, I can seal it forever, and even killing it is not impossible to try."
Can the Watcher be killed? Lisandro didn't think so.
But now you can only trust Jeno and do what he says.
She stood up, stripped her gorgeous robes, and showed her figure in front of Jeno.
In an instant, like ink blooming, the entire glacial labyrinth was dyed black, and then collapsed and sank into the abyss.
Jeno stepped into the air, watching Lisandro modify the dreams that belonged to the two of them at will. The glacier collapsed, and the shattered black ice flew out and clung to Lisandro's skin, turning into ice armor. She put on a heavy hood, and the power of black ice poured into her body, and her body changed, her skin as cold as a dead corpse and as white as new snow.
It became the appearance that Jeno was familiar with.
Nearly 10,000 years of change were condensed in just a few breaths, and Jeno saw the changes that the Void had left on Lisandro.
Mountains rose from the abyss at his feet, and the black sunlight scorched everything.
Their shared dream has become its.
The monster barely noticed their arrival, like some strange new life was crying.
The black sun, which represents the watcher, shines on the frost-covered mountains. The land is a twisted Freljord, losing all life and magic......
And the goddess who tried to press the black fireball back below the horizon, Lisandro's dream incarnation, the last dawn of the dream world...... In a moment, his hands were burned by black flames, and then he was swallowed by the abyss.
She screamed, shattered into dark shards, and then split into billions of Lisandro, each screaming in the mirror of the shards. In the emptiness, their voices were not even whispers.
The abyss is frantically devouring everything, including the fundamental cornerstone of this dream, which is also rapidly crumbling.
"I can't hold on for long, it's about to wake up, this dream on the verge of collapse, you take over."
As Lisandro had expected, she had just pulled the Watcher into the dream world, and in the blink of an eye, it was about to break out of its cage.
The resistance of the awakened watcher was far greater than expected, and the specific performance was manifested in the speed at which it devoured, which was countless times faster than before. Before that, no matter how much that giant mouth swallowed, there was always more to eat.
But now, every piece it devours is a part of Lisandro, and if it is allowed to devour it all, Lisandro's body will also die in reality.
When the time comes, there will really be no one to counterbalance it.
