Part II: Races (3) Dragons/Elves
========================================
2/04: Race: DragonsTheDragons2/04/01: Race: Dragons (1): Overview of Dragons is widely regarded as the strongest epic photonic creature. It has a very long lifespan, and if you are given enough time to grow, it will be almost invincible.
Dragons are generally covered in photon-covered dragon scale armor, which is not only extremely tough, but can even deflect most photon weapons. Dragons are adept at using a variety of breath attacks, and will also use wind pressure, roaring, toxins, and other means to kill enemies.
Most dragons have flying or gliding wings, covered with minerals similar to light stones, which are natural photonic mirrors, powered by bioelectricity, and even a very thin layer of wing membrane can create a high degree of anti-gravity field to support the massive dragon body to fly through the sky. Scholars agree that without the help of an anti-gravity field, a dragon with a body as large as a dragon would actually not be able to fly.
2/04/02: Race: Dragons (2): Exclusive Ability: BreathDragons' most powerful weapon besides their armor and claws is their Dragon's Breath.
Dragons can simply spit out intrinsic photons from their bodies as a means of attack, or they can collect free photons from nature to breathe. The former is extremely fast and powerful, but it consumes the dragon's own inherent photons.
The breath of the dragon, simply put, is the change in the nature of the breath of various photons. From the most widely known fire breath, to frost breath, poison breath, and even thunder breath. It is also said that there is a "petrified breath" that directly affects biological cells and causes them to die and keratinize. Being able to use all kinds of breath is the key to the dragon's strength.
Since dragon breath is actually just spitting out photons and changing the nature of photons, in fact, any living creature can learn dragon breath as long as they are willing to take the time.
There have been instances of humans learning breath from dragons to become "dragon whisperers", but using dragon breath is the same as using magic, meaning that the user will still be punished with petrification and die if they use it excessively.
Compared to the magic of using multiple catalysts to precisely control photons, Dragon's Breath can be regarded as a very "rough" technique, and the output of photons is completely borne by the caster, so the risk of petrification is very high. Despite its high power and short activation time, it is still considered unsuitable for human use. Various photonic adaptations can be used without petrification, although they are not as powerful or fast as epic photonic creatures, as normal photonic organisms do not have intrinsic photons that can be consumed instantly.
2/04/03: Race: Dragons (3): Proprietary Ability: QuantitativeFusionDragons have the highest concentration of photons in their bodies of all epic photonic creatures.
Aside from the shell, more than 90% of the internal structure of dragons is intrinsic photons and free photons, and only 10% is loose molecular structure, so the body of dragons can completely integrate with its own kind.
As long as the commonality of the intrinsic photons is adjusted, two or even more dragons can be fused together. When fused, liliang is not simply superimposed, but grows in geometric progression. This is also the real reason why human society suffered so much in the [Dragon Slaying War].
But dragons have one thing in common: extreme egotism. In other words, dragons are a group of creatures that have no sense of organization and discipline at all, and they will not cooperate with others unless they have to. It is already very difficult to unify the will of multiple dragons and make them merge, and it is even more difficult for the dragon, which is the "brain" of the dragon, to unite the other "parts" and act together. As a result, two-headed dragons are rare, and nine-headed dragons or more are rare to see in millions of years.
Dragons usually choose to merge with family members. However, there are many examples of mutual hatred among blood relatives in the dragon race, even if they are like brothers, so there are not many examples of blood relatives combining with each other. At the moment when dragons were hidden, the number of people who witnessed the combination of dragons was no more than ten figures, and there are few historical records. As a result, the general public mistakenly thinks that hydra is a subspecies of dragons, or even just a false legend.
2/04/04: Race: Dragons (4): Dragons have the same regenerative abilities as epic photonic creatures like succubi and deep sea trolls. However, dragons wearing heavy dragon armor have almost no chance of being harmed, so their regeneration ability is obviously degraded, and the speed of physical regeneration is obviously slower than that of other epic photon creatures.
Still, the dragons' ability to regenerate is not to be overlooked. Especially in the battle against dragons, don't think that cutting off the dragon's tail is a safe thing, their tail will grow back after only half an hour or so, and it will become a deadly weapon again. Therefore, it is necessary to deal with the dragon quickly, giving time for the injured dragon to recover, which is equivalent to digging a grave for himself.
There are two ways to slay a dragon: one is to completely smash the dragon's head, because the brain is the only part of the dragon that cannot be regenerated. The second is to pierce the dragon's heart and completely stop the flow of dragon blood, so that the circulation of inherent photons in the dragon's body can be completely blocked, and the dragon will lose its ability to regenerate, and eventually bleed to death (note: it may struggle for hours before dying!).
In fact, the ancient dragon hunters also created the [Dragon Slayer] enchantment secret method, which can completely decompose the inherent photon structure of dragons, and achieve the effect of destroying dragon flesh from the inside. However, the art has long since been lost with the decline of the dragon hunters.
2/04/05: Race: Dragons (5): Dragons make contracts with other creatures, which is one of the strange behaviors that dragons like to do. This may be a knee-jerk imitation of their distant ancestor, the Demon King Luthfa.
Dragons like to give their own scales to creatures they admire, so the scales given by Fa are bound to an anchor point of spatial teleportation, allowing the contractor to summon the dragon at any time.
When summoned, the subspace passage created by the dragon can only be passed by dragons protected by heavy photon scale armor, and other creatures who want to enter will be immediately pulled apart by the unstable force field in the subspace, and only a small number of mages with very high magical talents can then use the subspace passage to reach the location of the contract dragon (provided that the dragon allows it, otherwise the dragon can instantly close the passage and trap the passer in it forever).
Of course, dragons don't work in vain. The contractor pays a price for each summon, and the tribute can be food, treasure, or a variety of rare items. Dragons demand compensation depending on the content and difficulty of the contract, and although dragons are notoriously greedy, they calculate the rewards required for contracts very fairly, probably driven by dragons' pride, and they do not take anything more than what they think they deserve.
However, there are very few creatures in history that have managed to make a contract with dragons. People are usually killed or killed in battles with dragons, and it is extremely difficult to resolve the conflict with dragons, let alone get the favor of dragons and obtain contract dragon scales. Therefore, people who have been able to make contracts with dragons in history are generally referred to as "dragon riders" and are widely respected among various races (especially humans).
In ancient Pantoraken, one of the conditions for becoming a heavenly knight was to make a contract with at least one dragon. However, with the passage of time and the seclusion of the dragons, this condition became more and more difficult to achieve, and was finally abolished around 200 BC. The pact with a dragon is also considered by archaeologists to be the etymology of the word "Pantoraken": Pandragon means "to fly with dragons" in ancient Celtic.
2/04/06: Race: Dragons (6): AgeofDormancy Since about 5,000 years ago, dragons have lived a low-key and secluded life. Although there is no definite evidence of a connection between the two, 5,000 years ago was also the time when the dragon king, the Dragon Emperor Titans, disappeared. Archaeologists and dragonologists believe that the disappearance of the Dragon Emperor led to the dragons' social group being leaderless, and then went their separate ways and entered the Age of Seclusion.
After going into hiding, the dragons have basically become honest and live a cave life in various caves, and as long as they are not disturbed, they will not take the initiative to attack humans. Dragons occasionally fight each other for turf, but there are no more large-scale battles. (In the past, the battle between dragons and humans almost made human society restless, and the towns lived in the shadow of dragon attacks every day) Occasionally, the dragons who attacked human towns were generally wiped out by the knights because of their weak strength.
During the seclusion of the dragons, the principle of the Pantoracans was generally not to provoke dragons, unless dragons appeared in the town to cause trouble. The dragon clan once flourished before the seclusion, and the ancient dragon hunters who lived by hunting dragons gradually declined because they did not have the commission of dragon hunting, and changed to hunting and farming as a means of livelihood, and Zuihou was gradually forgotten by history.
At the end of the day, the reason for the dragon's seclusion is still a mystery. However, it is precisely because of the seclusion of the dragon clan that it has brought maximum peace and stability to human society, and has promoted the rapid development of the glorious region for more than 5,000 years. Now, even if dragons no longer fight humans in seclusion, they are probably no match for the highly developed human society. At least that's what scientists optimistically think.
========================================2/05: Race: The Elves2/05/01: Race: Elves (1): Overview: There is almost no difference in appearance from humans, the only difference being the possession of pointy, long ears. This race is somewhere between photon-adapted organisms and epic photonic organisms, and is believed to be a highly evolved form of humans.
There are very few records of elves, and some scholars believe that they were ancient humans who modified their own genes to produce a high degree of evolution. There was a huge fault in human history 12,000 years ago, and this period was also the period when the elves began to appear.
No one knows how long elves live, but scientists are convinced that elves can live as long as dragons, and their bodies are so sturdy that they are simply miniature versions of dragons, and their photon decay cycle is very long, so their lifespan must be very long.
2/05/02: Race: Elves (2): Innate Ability: EagleEyes Elves are excellent magicians, due to their high concentration, they are proficient in difficult space-time magic, and can easily distort space to create alternate dimensions, or create subspace passages.
But the elf's greatest strength lies in their shili.
For living things, what they see with the naked eye will be limited by optical conditions, not only will they be blurred the farther they can see, but they are also easily blocked by obstacles and cannot see something. But the elf's super shili is revolutionary and completely surpasses the abilities of other races. They observe an object not only by the direction of the reflection of light, but also by the constant flow of photons in the shijie to capture the visual information related to the object. So if they want to, they can see any corner of shijie, any person or thing. Of course, the whole shijie is so big, and the photon flow on the shijie is so complex and changeable, it is almost impossible to completely capture all the information, visualize, and then filter out the useful information. Even a well-trained elf with a super shili can only see things about ten kilometers away, and it is even more difficult to see if things are blocked by buildings (the visual information of the buildings themselves can cause a huge distraction to the information that is eventually captured).
Of course, if they are very close, trained elves can easily see through walls, can see normally in completely dark environments, and can even see heat and energy sources. This procedure is known as the "Eagle Eye Technique".
Although the elves' eyes are so powerful, the more they see and the more they want to see clearly, the more damage will be caused to Shili. When they concentrate on what they see, they gather a large number of photons in their eyeballs, which destroy cells and cause petrification. Elves that are not punishable by petrification as photon-adapted creatures will still temporarily lose their light after using their eyes continuously. Although the eyes will recover after a period of rest, when the elves are blind, they usually lose their resistance completely, and are easily killed by various enemies.
Elven ears also have an excellent sense of hearing. Although it is not as good as the super shili of the eyes, it can also play a certain role in protecting the elves, one is to prevent the elves from being attacked by nearby enemies when they are concentrating on the distance, and the other is to give the elves who are temporarily blind due to the overuse of shili an advantage to survive.
2/05/03: Race: Elf (3): DarkElf is the only meagre record in history, a cousin of the Elves. Contrary to the elves who possess super shili, the dark elves shili are only slightly above the level of normal humans, but they have super hearing and can easily hear the sound of a needle falling to the ground in the distance. The procedure is known as "Harkener".
The principle of super hearing is very similar to that of super shili, which is to capture the photon flow in shijie, and then audio-visualize the information in the photon flow. Compared with super shili, super hearing is much more passive, because without the sound source, there will be no audio and video information. But at the same time, because only the audio and video information needs to be processed, the interference of the information is relatively small, and the range that can be reached by the ultra-auditory sense is larger than that of the super-vision, with a radius of nearly 20 kilometers, and it can capture multiple target sound sources at the same time.
The phenomenon of petrification is also present in the extra-auditory sense of the dark elves. Excessive use of ultra-hearing will cause the Dark Elves' inner ears to petrify, making them unable to hear anything for a while, at which point the Dark Elves Haodeshili and night vision will be the only means they need to survive.
It is worth mentioning that although the speed of sound propagation is only the speed of sound, audiovisual information can travel with the flow of photons at a speed close to the speed of light. So the superauditory sense not only hears farther and faster than others, but also listens faster than others, and the farther away the sound source is from the listener, the greater the difference. Even vampires who also have hearing as one of their racial strengths will never be as good as the Dark Elves' range and response speed.
2/05/04: Race: Elves (4): Elves of the Elves of Elysim, who are good at space-time magic, created a constant subspace 5,000 years ago in order to avoid continuing to compete with humans for living space, and migrated into this subspace en masse. The space, known in the history books as the "Elysim", is an eternal shijie: it is always a comfortable spring, always sunny and with a moderate amount of rain. The creatures in it never grow old and can never need to eat if they want to, because they don't go hungry.
The entrance and size of the Pure Land are a mystery, but it is tentatively estimated that the subspace can be 10 million square kilometers in size, because the elves only need to gather a small number of free photons to create a huge distorted space, and the photons required to maintain the space are minimal.
The migration of the elves and the seclusion of the dragons were almost at the same time, and it is no wonder that there are various speculations in the academic community, and some people even believe that it was the elves who kidnapped the Dragon Emperor Titans. Although there are different opinions, all of them are baseless speculations, because the shijie humans of the elves know too little. All these legends cast a veil of mystery over the Elven Pure Land.
Therefore, the Elven Pure Land is exactly what countless explorers yearn for, and are even willing to spend their whole lives exploring the secret realm. How many people managed to find it, no one knows. Some people may spend their whole lives not finding it, and some people may have found it, but they are never willing to return to the mortal world and stay in the pure land of the elves forever.
However, there are still a few dissenting elves who are reluctant to move into the Pure Land, some of these elves remain in the earthly world and wander among the people, while others live in seclusion in the mountains and forests, and they are generally called "lost elves".
