Chapter 30: Xavier's School for the Gifted Youth
Downey took his motorcade and headed straight for a school in Westchester, New York.
Xavier School for the Gifted and Young, this school has grown rapidly in recent decades, but it lives almost in isolation, and many people don't even know that there is such a strange school in bustling New York City, which only the top of certain organizations know about.
This school exclusively admits and only admits mutants, ranging in age from a few years old to a teenager.
The headmaster is Charles Xavier, known as Professor X, who is recognized as one of the mutant bipolars and a great mutant leader. He has spent his life working for the peaceful coexistence of mutants and ordinary people, and is a respectable elder.
However, Downey has always been suspicious of meeting Professor X. The professor's psychic abilities are so unguardable that he can read his memories in an instant, and he won't even notice it.
Downey had too many secrets, and he did worry in his heart that Professor X would check his memory, though the chances were slim.
In addition to his strength being feared by the world, Professor X is more praised and respected for his noble character, this old man has spent his life proving himself, and will continue to prove that he is a reassuring old man, a kind elder in the true sense of the word.
Donnie ventures out to meet Professor X, who needs help and a reliable backup.
He won't choose Magneto, at least not until he has the strength to fight Magneto. Magneto's hard-line style is uncompromising, and he is determined to exterminate humanity and make Earth a world of mutants, acting in extremes.
Downey understands that time is really running out.
In the near future, the world of great controversy will officially begin, and the earth simply does not have much energy to fight. One mythical figure after another will sweep across the starry sky and kill corpses all over the field, countless ancient races will sail again to conquer the universe, civilization after civilization will wail under their iron hooves, and one ancient star after another will crumble in the war.
The future is a myriad of bloody battles, infinite wars.
There is no light and hope, no flowers and no distance, only countless corpses and despair. Even Donnie himself doesn't know how long he can last in the future, and he himself doesn't know how many battles he can withstand.
After making up his mind, Donnie drove his Optimus Prime all the way, with a brand new motorcycle on the body, followed by two dilapidated cars, forming a small team. Downey takes them to Xavier School for the Gifted.
He wants to find Professor X, he bets on Professor X's character, he wants to become stronger, even if it is good to become stronger.
There's really not much time left.
Xavier School is basically secluded, with beautiful scenery, away from the smoky miasma and hustle and bustle of the city, and is a paradise.
Walking to the gate, the sound of vehicles attracts the attention of many people. On weekdays, few outsiders come here, and they are very curious about this new visitor.
It was a group of children of all ages, who had formed a group, pointing to Donnie who had gotten out of the car and whispering about who this man was.
Donnie looked at those children, their faces were innocent and pure, like angels who don't know the world, so that Donnie's heart calmed down all of a sudden, he looked at these children, and the whole person relaxed.
This change surprised him, he had always been taut with a string, but in front of this group of children, he quietly relaxed, very comfortable, very suitable.
"Welcome, Donnie." A woman who already knew Downey was coming, stood waiting, smiling. In terms of title, she didn't even save "sir", and didn't treat Donnie as an outsider at all.
"Dr. Jean, I've seen you speak before Congress and read some of your papers, thank you for everything." Donnie looked at this graceful mature woman, and even though it was the first time they met, he recognized it at a glance, and the person in front of him was Jean Grey, a terrifying uncontrollable level 5 mutant.
Facing the piano, I don't know if it's an illusion, Donnie always has a feeling of suffocation, and the source of fire in his mind flickers wildly.
Jean Grey is one of the hosts of the cosmic phoenix, and her body contains terrifying energy, and her telekinesis can annihilate souls and matter at the atomic level, which is extremely terrifying. The most terrible thing is that this power is uncontrollable, and Qin is easily in a position controlled by power, and a negative personality is born from this.
Professor X used his psychic power to block the source of Qin's power, but as time passed, the power of this seal became weaker and weaker, and he became more and more unable to resist the increasingly irritable power of the phoenix.
It only takes one opportunity for the power of the phoenix to burst out with an irreversible momentum, and there is no possibility of recovery, and the negative personality will wipe out the first personality and take possession of everything.
But at least for now, it's still the kind and kind Dr. Jean who leads, and she doesn't know that she has a negative personality.
"Oh?" Jean's smile was sweet, and she looked at Donnie playfully, "Then I wonder which of my papers you have read?" We can talk about it, I heard that you also went to college. ”
"Only halfway through." Downey cheeky, "I'm interested in some of Dr. Jean's papers analyzing mutant abilities. ”
Downey said that Dr. Zanchen's research has opened a new veil in the field of mutant abilities, and has played a huge role in better grasping the direction of mutants, and he is grateful for Dr. Jean's efforts for mutants.
Thesis? That kind of thing, how could he possibly look, does not exist.
Jean glanced at Donnie meaningfully, she was also a teacher, how could she not see that Donnie was talking nonsense, but she didn't break it, and motioned for Donnie to follow her.
"When you were about to get here, Professor X sensed you, and he asked me to pick you up." Jean said to Donnie as she walked that Professor X had been following Downey for a long time, and he had been waiting for Downey to come to him, hoping to have a good chat.
Many of the mutant students stared at Donnie curiously, and some of them liked to watch TV, and they had already recognized him, and quickly told the others that this young man was the mechanic who had been in the limelight lately.
"He's the new high-level mutant?" A young man exclaimed, his eyes shining. The relevant agencies blocked Donnie's detailed information, resulting in many people only knowing that Downey had awakened in the crisis and had a very high level, but there were different opinions about how many levels it was.
It is more reliable to say that it is a third-level mutant, and it is the kind that is biased towards combat ability, and it is very lethal.
Following the cobblestone path, Downey came to a quaint building in the deepest part of the school, which was a few years old, and looked very elegant, and what was even more surprising was that a layer of oriental glazed bricks was laid out in an orderly manner on the periphery, forming a beautiful picture.
Pushing open the door, a bald old man in a wheelchair slowly turned around, he exuded a peaceful aura, and his eyes were plain but full of wisdom.
"Welcome, my people."
