Chapter 22: Humane Transactions
Zach opened the various bottles and cans on Crowley's desk and placed a square bottle in the empty space.
Crowley, who was wearing only a dressing gown, glanced at the iron wine bottle, "I hope this is the only thing left of her." β
Crowley, who is strict with her subordinates, fully implements the old-fashioned routine, so Zach doesn't care about the coldness of getting up.
"Don't be so cold. Zach smiled and unscrewed the bottle, and a black thread covered with red wire mesh poked out, like a single-celled fungus, sticking to the mouth of the bottle and writhing, "You'll be glad she's alive outside of Barton." β
Crowley's hair was coarsely tied up and fluffy on her chest, and she tugged at the corners of her mouth, watching the thing at the mouth of the bottle squirm for a moment, then turned and disappeared.
When I reappeared, I was already wearing a formal suit, and I finally improved somewhat. The shirt was a distinctly blue women's silk shirt with wide straight-leg pants underneath. That weird style of gender conflict has finally eased a little, which is considered progress.
Seeing that Crowley had given up on fixing her hair, Zach curled the corners of her mouth, "You look a little more relaxed." β
Crowley didn't bother to answer, picked up the wine bottle on the table, swayed it, shook the sticking thread back, and threw it back to Zack, if it was Wandel's body, she would gladly take it, but unfortunately not, "Why am I happy." β
Zach took the bottle and asked, "Wandel, where are you now?"
"Newton city centre. A clear female voice with an echoing hum came from the mouth of the bottle, "It's a mess here!" Wandel's tone was full of disgust, "The demons almost control the underworld! I hardly see any other aliens!"
Crowley frowned.
"Someone's noticed this! I don't want to be discovered!" Vander's voice stopped.
Zach capped the bottle, "Well, I said, you'll be happy." β
"Happy for what?" Crowley glanced at Zach, "glad my friends are in control of the city." And I can only nest in this church?"
"Friends?" Zach shook his head, "I didn't ask. It doesn't mean I'm stupid. β
Crowley looked at Zach's calm face, as if thinking about something. She said, "I ......."
"I don't want to know. Zach stopped Crowley, and Crowley's situation, by all indications, was clearly not good. But Zach didn't care about the bad Cheng dΓΉ, it was Crowley's problem, "Just like when we first met, it's not you." There will be other demons coming up. β
Zach glanced at Crowley, "For now, I'd rather it be you than someone like Newton." β
Blake Stone came back from Newton and made 'real hell' with the feeling of being left behind in Newton. Before that, there was Seth, the witcher who came all the way to Barton from the East. Although neither of them has said anything about the situation in the outside world, it is a very simple question, if the outside is good. Why come to Barton?
Coupled with what Vendel had just revealed, Zack's words were not hypocritical.
Crowley tugged at the corners of her mouth, "I'm not going to take word from a traitor." β
"You don't need to. "Zach puts 'Wandel' in his pocket. The corners of his eyebrows furrowed, "If you want to know anything, come and ask me." "Bad taste.
Crowley stared at Zach.
The fact that Vendel was able to bring back the news beyond Barton was indeed a boost to Crawley. Zach didn't know where Crowley was now. But if she doesn't want her soul to go through hell, it can only mean that Crowley has been isolated in hell and most likely has lost the right to retrieve her soul.
And just like the territorial division of the Hidden Alliance and the Demon Feast Alliance, the demons above the ground also have territorial awareness. Then it is impossible for Crowley to send someone on the ground to leave Barton and enter the territory of other demons to get the news.
At this juncture. A filmmaker can do this job very conveniently.
"I don't like this development. Crowley looked at Zach's smiling face. "You're suing the other guys that they can change their position at will between me and you. but not punished. β
The tyrant, Wandel's description of Crowley, seems to be more than just strict old rules.
Zach raised an eyebrow, "How many people are willing to come to Grande? β
A hint of annoyance flashed in Crowley's eyes, and the vampire deliberately deflected the focus.
Zach took away his pretentious vanity and smiled, "Crowley, don't be too sentimental. You know you're just forcibly taking what Sbella Tempest has left behind. They don't want to be on your side at all. β
With a soft sneer, Crowley looked at the vampire, "Do they want to side with Grande? Crowley shook her head, "You should thank me, I took care of these guys who are likely to leave Barton City, you don't want them to leak Grande's news outside at will." β
Zach actually nodded, "I really want to thank you for that." Zach laughed and shook his head, "But you should know that Sbella and we have a tacit agreement that if those guys are smart enough, they won't say anything. β
Zach seemed to think of something, and there was a wry smile on his face, "Maybe it doesn't matter if you say it." β
Crowley frowned, she wasn't in a good mood. Wandel's successful disengagement angered her, and Zack's attitude of noticing that she wasn't in a good situation made her angry. Now Toredo's thinking that is always off-topic in front of her makes her even more unhappy!
What the hell is this vampire thinking?
Zach waved his hand, and the emotion was normal, just a nasty pleasure. Zach had an impeccable smile on his face, "Anyway, Vendall is outside. We all need to know what's going on in the outside world, so why make good use of it?"
Crowley shook her head helplessly, "What do you want?" β
Zach has already said that it is obvious that Wandel is in the hands of Grande, and if Crowley wants to know something, she has to ask for it from Grande.
"...... first"
"Don't push me. Crowley glared at Zach, and 'first'!
Zach was stunned, "Ugh. Smiled and shook his head, "You need to cultivate your cultivation well." The vampire waved his hand, "First Chapman's finish, we should have a unified story." β
Crowley squinted as Zach recounted the truth that had been tampered with beyond recognition, thinking about how to wrap it up. The demon really didn't expect that the vampire was not making any demands, but was seriously dealing with a police mess.
"Yours, the guy who was sent out of Barton City. Zach raised an eyebrow, "Is he still alive?"
This is about the guy who was hit in the knee by Chapman and was kindly sent out by his boss to hide for a few days. Now that I think about it, it's no wonder that Crowley didn't speak in a good tone when she mentioned this guy, and the outside is the most dangerous place.
Crowley threw away the miscellaneous thoughts in her head, "Alive, never left the train." β
Zach pouted, Crowley's situation was really bad enough, "Let him come back, he's going to come back to give a confession, he may be in jail for a while, but it's okay for you." When James and Cousson were on the phone, they had already expressed their thoughts that they would not let go. But he's a demon, and the prison is really nothing, it's just a big deal to get out of the container and come out again.
Zach thought for a moment, "And the guys who were with him at the time, can you handle it?"
"Erase the memory. Crowley stared at Zach, "That's what you're good at." β
Zach tilted his head sideways, as if disappointed, "Crowley, we all know that you want to control a gang, and you can't move the 'General' because he's in my professional circle." So, who else is the right person in your hands? Who else has the same abilities and relationships?"
Don't forget, Zach also knows a lot about the Southeast, but what he cared about in the past was that the quality of the supper in that neighborhood was high (the life of the gangsters was vigorous), and which block, the quality of the supper was very poor (the life of the gangsters was sluggish). Although it is very one-sided, it is a very intuitive reaction to the strength of each gang......
From Crowley, Zach already knew the whole thing about last night, Chapman didn't care what he said in trouble, but Zach cared.
'General', we already know that he is a guy with great potential, so the gang that dares to make trouble with 'General' is very high in the hearts of Zach and Crowley.
"What are you thinking. Crowley looked at Zach, thinking to herself.
"The 'General' has a connection with Corson. Zach raised an eyebrow and pouted, "Chapman isn't too bad either." β
Trade.
A very obvious deal, let Chapman himself make a deal with the gang, let the gang help Chapman cover up his own absurd behavior, and owe a favor worthy of life.
Crowley's brow furrowed, and she quietly looked at the thinking vampire, "Why, why are you helping me." β
"Helping you?" Zach snapped back from his thoughts, "I'm just currying favor with James, him." Zach shook his head helplessly, remembering the scene when James impatiently pushed himself out of the attic, "He is still prejudiced against alien abilities, and I don't want to use too much to disgust him." So it's better to use a humanized way. β
Crowley's brow furrowed even tighter, she could feel that the answer was true, the first time they met, the vampire brought two humans, James was one of them, and she understood very much how much Zach valued the detective. But is it necessary to do so?
"When he finds out about this deal, he will hate you even more, not because of your ability, but because of your character. Crowley said coldly.
"No, no, no!" Zach laughed, shaking his fingers, "I didn't do it, you did it." "Zach patted his chest, and in the inner pocket, there was 'Wandel'.
Zach gives James a person to talk to, Chapman, and then pushes the cop to Crawley's side. James is still Grande's, and Zach is too happy with the direction.
"I think the details, you'll take care of it, right, Crowley. Zach laughed. (To be continued)
