Chapter 707. Two people from the Guild for the first time
"Welcome!" The dwarf standing in the doorway greeted DeWitt and Cremont.
The two nodded, ignoring it. Immediately walk towards the union hall.
In front of the information desk in the guild hall is a large stone pillar that supports the center of gravity of the house, and the surface of the stone pillar draws a map of the entire island, and the direction of the river is marked in every detail.
"Awesome." Clemmont touched a spot on the map with his hand and exclaimed.
"It would be more convenient if there were samples of drawings." DeWitt commented.
"Yes." A uniformed dwarf walked up to them and said, "The guild's special blanket map is available at the counter at the entrance. Only one silver coin is required. β
"Everything here is really measured in silver coins." Cremont muttered in his mind.
"Thank you. But in addition to that, I would like to ask you: Where is the front desk that sells news? DeWitt asked the dwarf with a smile.
"Our union provides guests with a service of direct face-to-face communication with the hunters. What category of messages are you asking about? The dwarven waiter prompted.
"What category? This is the first time DeWitt has come to such a trading venue, and he is not very sensitive to classification. After thinking about it for a while, he cautiously said, "We are newcomers to the island, and we mainly want to ask about the history of the races on the island. β
"Oh, I see." The dwarf waiter probably understood what DeWitt was trying to say, and responded, "Please go to the service desk over there to register." Specifically, you have to line up for the number six hunter and pay the deposit. β
"Okay, thank you."
Probably seeing that DeWitt wanted to tip the waiter again, Cremont dragged DeWitt away after thanking him.
"Captain DeWitt, it's better not to show your wealth." Cremont suggested as he walked down the road.
"Well, you're right." Devitt reacted and replied.
The dwarves love money, as they had heard from Raphael's mouth. DeWitt's idea was that if money could be exchanged for the cooperation of others, there was nothing wrong with an independent scout.
However, on the occasion of an exchange like the guild, it is easy to get into unnecessary trouble by taking money at will.
Cremont walked to the window of the registration desk and successfully lined up.
The guild's service was quite thorough, after Cremont received the room key for the appointment meeting. Immediately, a waiter came over to lead the way for the two.
DeWitt and Cremont followed the waiter up to the second floor.
The staircase leading to the second floor is designed to accommodate different ethnic differences, and the size of the adjacent stairs varies greatly.
Walking to the room number marked on the key, DeWitt and Cremont stopped.
"Can we go in first?" DeWitt asked politely to the waiter.
"Of course." The dwarven waiter laughed, then took the key from Cremont and opened the door.
The key was inserted into the lock, and the waiter stepped back.
DeWitt and Cremont walked to the room, which contained only a square table and three soft leather chairs.
DeWitt and Cremont sat down on one side of the square table, waiting for the arrival of the message hunter.
"Knock knock!" Footsteps were heard behind them, and the two looked back.
A dwarf dressed as a cowboy in black leather boots walked in through the doorway of the room. The waiter who followed behind him served a tray with three times the amount of warm water with lemon slices.
After the waiter had set up the coaster, he placed the drink in front of the three of them. He closed the door with an empty tray and respectfully withdrew.
"Hello." The dwarven hunter spoke first, "My name is Kofito. Can you tell us what you'd like to know? β
"Hello, my name is Cremont. This is my team leader β DeWitt. Cremont said.
"Actually, it's okay if you don't have to say the name or something. Guest information and the like, our professional hunters forget when they walk out of this room. Cofito said: "Of course, we will keep the content of your inquiry confidential. β
"I see." Cremont nodded.
Seeing this, DeWitt simply didn't ramble anymore, and said directly: "We want to know something from you about snake women, dragons, and trolls. β
"What kind of news?" As he got down to business, Kofito's eyes sharpened.
"For example, their strengths and weaknesses, the scope of their territory, and so on. We need to go somewhere, and we have to pass through their territory on the way, and we don't want to get into too much trouble...," CrΓ©mont explained.
"I see." Kofito took notes on the paper he had brought and responded.
"Look what we can get from you." DeWitt said.
"I've got all the news you want. And it's all sorted out one by one. Cofito introduced, his eyes full of confidence: "It's just a book of twenty silver coins, and the information of the three races you want, a total of thirty." Do you think the price is affordable? β
"Just get your money's worth." DeWitt replied.
"Hmm." Cofito smiled and nodded: "Then please go to the front desk to report the address." My assistant will naturally send it to you personally after finding all the information. β
After listening to Cofito's words, DeWitt pondered, "But we will leave the dwarven town tomorrow. I don't know if you're in a hurry. β
"Don't worry. It will be delivered early tomorrow morning. Cofito briskly promised.
"It's a pleasure to work with."
There were so many people wandering the hall that DeWitt and Cremont worked hard for a while before they managed to get the restaurant's address at the front desk. I was able to get out of the crowd and return to the moonlit streets.
"I didn't expect the lemonade provided to cost money, I thought it was given for free." Cremont grumbled, counting the deposit returned.
"The dwarves are really trying their best to make money." DeWitt said, "I didn't expect that there would be such a thing as a guild that sells news in this world. β
"I don't really want such a guild to be born in Calradia." After a moment's thought, CrΓ©mont replied, "It's terrible to have your privacy stared at. β
"This island really allowed me to see a lot of things that I hadn't seen much in the barracks. Except for the days on the ship, it felt like time was really flying by in my ears. β
DeWitt seems to be in a good mood tonight.
