Chapter 5 Similar Issues
When Zach returned to the office, the phone had been hung up, but Louise was still wrapped in a blanket, hugging her curled legs, and nesting in a daze in Zack's special chair.
"I told him to wait a moment. Louise saw Zach come in, pointed to the phone, and said, "But he seems to be in a bad mood and says I'll see you in the afternoon." There was a hint of curiosity in Louise's eyes and she asked, "Who is he?"
"Mayor Barton. Zach replied with a smile and walked to his seat, motioning for Louise to get up.
Louise blinked, grabbed the blanket that had slipped off her chest in one hand, and moved out of her seat. But the other smooth arm rested on the back of the chair, stroking back and forth, as if there was no intention of leaving.
While enjoying the view, Zach sat back in his seat, picked up the 'wine' that Louise had poured for him in advance, and looked sideways at the woman who was lingering: "You should go and put on some clothes." β
Louise shifted and sat down on her desk, her smooth calves peeking out from under the blanket and folding at Zack's side, "Why do you want to do that? Slender fingers circled the table at his side, as if thinking about something.
After the alien's crisis was resolved, the eyes of charm applied to Louise had long since lost their effect, but the 'single woman' did not leave, but moved in completely. Except for the occasional complaint that Old Hank had a beautiful woman here, no one objected to Louise's stay.
Zach licked the bright red off his lips and chuckled, "That's easy to solve, just don't ask questions I don't want to answer." The corners of the vampire's mouth curled, "Unless, you like me to stop you this morning." β
Louise's cheeks flushed slightly as she jumped off her desk, "Then why did you let Benjamin sue sΓΉ gold, no, sue sΓΉ James, you want to make offspring ideas." β
Louise's tone was not friendly, her slender eyebrows furrowed slightly, and now we knew what the strange atmosphere between the two was about.
Zach put away his smile, apparently the topic was very close to the question he 'didn't want to answer'. Zach said lightly: "That is Benjamin's own behavior, and I have no right to interfere with him." James will sue you, just to protect you, and you should thank him. β
"Why should I thank him?" Louise didn't like Zach's blandness, her emotions were excited, and the blanket on her chest was undulating, in danger of slipping at any moment. But apparently, now is not the time to care about such details, "If James hadn't sued me, I wouldn't have known, I wouldn't have thought about that! He has messed up my mind! Now, every day I think, 'What is a vampire offspring?'
Louise's casually draped hair swayed from side to side as she excitedly asked, "And 'your offspring'? I don't even know what the relationship between us is now!Is it normal for us to be like this??!" She glared at our vampire, "And you, you won't tell me anything!"
Zach looked at the excited Louise, the beautiful and intelligent woman seemed fragile right now. Zach realized that his silence on the issue had disturbed the woman's heart.
Although she blamed Zach for 'silence', for some reason, she pushed this anger on James, who 'sued her for this'. I'm afraid that only women have such a complicated relationship.
Zach complained a little about Benjamin's mouthiness.
Zach looked away from Louise, thought for a moment, and asked softly, "Are you worried about your safety?"
Louise watched Zach's eyes slowly widen, as if there was something unbelievable about Zach's concern. But at the same time, she seemed to regret voicing her fears.
Zach grabbed Louise before she could speak again, saying, "If you don't feel safe, you should trust your instincts and get out of here." β
Louise hugged her shoulders and opened and closed her lips several times, but she didn't make a sound. A moment later, Louise, biting her lower lip, turned and rushed out of the office, her voice fading away as she stepped on the stairs barefoot. Zach sat in silence, listening to the sounds coming from upstairs, dressing, opening the closet, removing clothes, stuffing into the suitcase, and dragging the suitcase downstairs......
"Hmph!" Old Hank's voice said, "Beautiful woman, I dislike the old man, are you leaving!"
Benjamin pushed open the side door of the office, her body was still on her side, watching Louise on the stairs drag her suitcase down the stairs, she didn't seem to want to see Zack again, ignored Benjamin's push, almost with a bang, pushed open the back door on the side of the stairwell, stepped out of the porch, and rushed out!
Alice, who was on the second floor of the warehouse, was holding Benjamin's picture and telling Lola a story, and saw this and chased it out in a hurry, but Louise had already left the backyard of the Grande House and walked onto the main road. The banshee wandered anxiously on the side of the road, but did not dare to chase it out.
"What's wrong with Louise?" asked Benjamin, puzzled, closing the door with an old newspaper in his hand.
Zach shook his head and didn't answer, but looked at the newspaper in Benjamin's hand: "Did you find it?"
Benjamin nodded: "Found it, are we going to investigate?" Benjamin handed the newspaper to Zach.
Zach took it, glanced at the poor man's last name on the report, and shook his head. He folded the report and put it in a drawer, "Something that could prove that it wasn't because of the Transfiguration rumors that got into Barton, leave it alone for now." β
Benjamin nodded, sat across from Zach, fiddling with his fingers idlely.
Zach frowned, what's wrong today, why everyone doesn't seem to want to leave their office!
"You should go and change your clothes. Zach reminded as he pointed to the sleeve of Benjamin's torn shirt.
Benjamin tilted his head, "Lola." β
Zach nodded clearly, it seemed that the two brothers in the Grande House were having similar problems......
"Yes. Benjamin stretched out his outro and tried to find a topic, "How's it going with Anthony?"
Zach shook his head: "He'll go to the mill in the afternoon, and then we'll talk about it, do you want to go with him?"
Benjamin thought for a moment and shook his head: "I'll forget it, there are still some stones over there [Ford Funeral Home], and I have to go a few more times." β
Ford had promised to give the useless stones to the Grande House, and although it was a gift, they did not lose anything, because they were once bought with the money of the city government, and after privatization, these things that were no longer useful had no value except for their position. No one would be willing to buy the stone for the zuΓ² tombstone to use for the home.
But the people of the Grande House were too frugal, and they were not even willing to pay for the convoy, relying entirely on Benjamin's old van to tow it little by little. Ford was already a little unhappy with the competitor's constant entry and exit from his own turf, urging Benjamin to be quicker.
"Okay. Zach nodded, "I don't have anything to do right now." Zach was a little upset and didn't want to stay here: "I'll go first, you can take me and Madison to the mill." β
"Good. Benjamin stood up: "I'm going to change my clothes first." Benjamin thought he had found an excuse to dodge Lola.
It's Sunday, and Lola doesn't have to go to school for a reason to come here, and after five days of school life, Lola probably won't remember this little admiration. Benjamin underestimated his own charm.
While waiting for Benjamin to change clothes, let me introduce you to the Mill.
The mill is where I, Madison, am going to work.
The Grande House was able to get the project in partnership with the Patton Police Department South Division. However, as you might expect, it is considered to be the suburb, rural south of Barton, where the south branch is very small. In the past, if the victim needed a forensic examination, it was sent directly to the North District General Office, after all, Barton is still a young city, considered a suburban place, and the public facilities are understandably inadequate, and the forty-minute drive is not too far.
The city government took the opportunity of this funeral privatization to upgrade the South Branch, expropriating a piece of land not far from the South Branch to establish a standard identification facility.
Not far from the identification facility to be established, Casa Grande acquired an abandoned mill, a semicolon of Casa grande, to establish a cremation facility in collaboration with the South Branch. For the sake of psychological stability for themselves and their 'brothers and sisters', vampires will never allow themselves to live in a place where there is such a horror as the 'incinerator'. So, it's a great opportunity.
However, Zach didn't take out a penny himself, just transferred the check for signing a contract with the police department and sent it back to the city government, and I, so lucky, went from the bottom of the society to a middle-class person with my own industry......
Well, that's what makes Anthony unhappy, after all, at this point in time, Anthony doesn't know I'm just a harmless trick.
