I've just rechecked the background information: Baal, the god of killing, fell in 1358DR in the Year of Turmoil. Born in 1341DR, Apodell appears in a huge contradiction based on the game and the official novel.

Apodell was rescued and adopted by his adoptive father, Grion, before he was 10 years old, when he was about to be sacrificed to the dead Baal in order to resurrect the murder god. That is, around 1351DR, Barr died.
