Chapter 314: Gathering Magic Iron
"Guess what we're going to encounter in the fourth level?" Zambit asked, sweating profusely as he carried Barnett, who was completely drunk.
This old dwarf didn't look like much of a pound tael, but he didn't expect it to be so heavy on his back! He was complaining frantically in his heart, why did this kind of hard work fall on him?
"Just open this door and you'll know. Alfie said, pointing to an inconspicuous stone door in the corner of the hatchery. By this time they had turned back from the spider cave and found the door to the fourth level.
"What's behind this door? Why do people feel so hot?" Catwoman Katie, an orc tribe, is extremely sensitive to changes in the environment, and she can clearly feel waves of heat coming in from behind the door.
"I felt something inexplicable behind the door draw me in, as if something familiar existed. Rebecca said with a frown.
"Oh, could it be related to your sealed memories?" Alfie raised an eyebrow, and after entering the spider cave, Rebecca's behavior became more and more strange, and Alfie couldn't tell if this change was good or bad for the time being.
"Perhaps?" Rebecca said uncertainly. She felt a faint sense of intimacy from the heat coming from behind the door?
Alfie noticed that Kauflon's eyelids twitched violently twice at the mention of Rebecca's sealed memory, which filled his heart with suspicion, could it be that Coughren knew the inside story, and even that he was the one who cast the sacred seal on Rebecca?
"You guys are really grinding, why are you hesitating to open the door quickly and you will know everything?" The anxious Zambit threw Barnett into Serent's arms and rushed up to open the door himself.
Alfie and Kaufron looked at each other in tacit understanding—and though Alfie was wary of Kaufren, that didn't stop them from feeling sorry for each other—and the two treacherous and cunning fellows almost immediately concluded that the great Troll Warrior was going to be out of luck again.
Sure enough, Zambit pushed the stone door with his hand defenselessly, and a snorting barbecue sound came along with the smell of barbecue, and then Zambit let out a terrifying scream, holding his hands that were instantly burnt and painful.
In addition to receiving a timely healing technique from Celent to help him restore his burnt hands to their original state in an instant, Zambit's tragic experience was a bunch of contemptuous glances, and even Kitty the little catwoman could hold her chest and scold him with "It's too reckless!"
Alfie and Coughren approached the stone gate together, and the bloody handprints left by Zambit had become charred in the blink of an eye.
"What do you think?" Alfie glanced at Coughren.
"Very strange. Judging from what happened to Zambit, the temperature of this stone door must be very high, why can't it be seen from the outside?" If it weren't for the fact that the stone door looked indistinguishable from the surrounding stone walls, Zambit would not have been easily hit.
"Having absorbed a large amount of the fire elemental without seeing it at all, I suddenly thought of something of legend. Alfie patted her head. Thanks to his predecessor's knowledge of the continent's bounty, Alfie thought of a legendary metal, the Gathering Iron.
"You're talking about the Gathering Iron?" Celent didn't remember as many books in vain, and Alfie thought of this cherished metal at the slightest hint.
This metal has an excellent ability to absorb the energy of various elements, and most importantly, the surface of the metal does not change until the absorbed energy reaches its limit. It's a great material for making magic traps.
"Gathering Magic Iron?!, where?" and almost instinctively, after hearing the name of this cherished metal, Barnett, who was already drunk and unconscious, immediately rubbed his eyes and raised his head.
"If we are not mistaken, it is this 'stone gate'. Alfie said as she glanced at Barnett, who had jumped out of Serent's arms.
"Let me see. Barnett staggered over to the stone door. Celent was really worried that Barnet, who was so drunk that he couldn't even stand on his feet, would he be careless about repeating Zambit's mistake for a while.
The dwarves are indeed natural ore experts, and as soon as Barnett approached the stone door, the momentum on his body immediately changed amazingly, and the original unkempt image of a drunkard immediately disappeared, replaced by an unusually professional exploration master.
Barnett wisely kept a relatively safe distance from the faintly warm stone door, and then took out a magnifying glass from his bosom and placed it in front of his eyes, carefully observing every line on the stone door.
A moment later, he pulled out another crystal dropper and gently dropped a drop of amber liquid onto the stone door. The drop of liquid was instantly turned into a wisp of steam by the high temperature on the stone door. Strangely, the steam that the amber liquid turned into was a strange rust color.
Barnett put his red nose up, and after inhaling the rust-colored steam completely into his nostrils, he showed an expression of intoxication—an expression that Alfie and the others had only seen on Barnett's face when he drank the priceless Imperial brandy.
"Uncle Dwarf, how's the result?" Katie asked a little anxiously when she saw that Barnett had been holding that action for a long time without reacting.
Barnett didn't react at all, and Katie had to touch him lightly with her little paws: "Uncle Dwarf?
Alfie and Rebecca looked at each other, they had already guessed something.
"Huh, what are you talking about?" asked Barnett, who shuddered as if awake from a dream, after Katie's little paw increased a little harder.
"People are asking what the result is!" Katie felt aggrieved, why did this dwarf uncle ignore her?
"Ah~ I'm sorry, I just took a nap, and the taste of this cherished ore is so intoxicating, it's like a mellow wine with a long aftertaste. Barnett explained in a panic when he saw Katie's sobbing expression.
"So this stone door is really a concentrating magic iron?" Alfie confirmed. He wasn't in the mood to bother with Barnett about his falling asleep during the testimonial.
"That's right, it's the Gathering Magic Iron, and it's the high-purity Gathering Magic Iron that has been refined, I've never seen such a large piece!" Barnett looked at the stone gate in front of him with a blazing gaze, and the saliva in his mouth was about to flow to the ground, "This must be the reward for passing the third level!"
"It's a real possibility. There should be a reward for passing every level, the first level is the Tianjin Slate, the second level is the space stone basin and the phoenix in it, and the third level is this stone gate made of concentrated magic iron?"
"Yes, yes, yes! Shouldn't we discuss the distribution of this loot? Barnett glanced approvingly at Zambit, and the two men could be said to be alike in this regard.
"I'm so embarrassed. This Gathering Iron has nothing to do with the two of you. Alfi glanced at the two of them and said lightly.
