Chapter 282: Exile on a desert island
The Black Pearl quickly sailed out of the combat area and headed for the uninhabited island.
And Xu Feng, Captain Jack, and Elizabeth were tied to the mast.
In less than half a day, the Black Pearl slowly stopped.
Xu Feng looked up and saw that on the opposite side of the black pearl, there was indeed an uninhabited island.
There are only a few coconut trees on the island, and there is no shelter beyond that.
If you are exiled on such an island, you will die of starvation and thirst before you die of sunburn.
Barbossa said triumphantly, "Jack, I'm here to see what chance you have to escape this time!" β
Captain Jack smiled wryly and said, "Barbossa, don't you really think about another monkey?" β
Barbossa said coldly: "Less verbose! Go to the springboard! β
Captain Jack reluctantly walked to the gangplank, turned back to Barbossa and said, "Barbossa, when you exiled me last time, you at least gave me a gun and a bullet, this time, at least three rounds, right?" β
Barbossa said coldly: "Think beautiful! I'll just give you one bullet, and if you want to die, then rush to die! β
With that, he grabbed Captain Jack's musket and threw it directly into the sea.
Captain Jack immediately jumped down to the place of the musket, which was a symbol of his revenge, and if he lost the musket, his revenge would be devastated, so he had to find it.
"Next!"
With Barbossa's shouting, Elizabeth is pushed onto the gangplank.
"Are you going to jump on your own, or will I give you a ride?" Barbossa asked triumphantly.
Elizabeth gritted her teeth and said, "Barbossa, you must not die well! β
Barbossa raised his eyebrows and said with a sneer, "Your curse is nothing compared to the curse of the Aztecs!" We can survive even the Aztec curse, are we still afraid of your curse? Let me go down! β
Barbossa didn't seem to have mercy, and with one foot on the gangplank, she catapulted Elizabeth directly into the water.
The undead pirates laughed happily on board.
"Next!" Barbossa waved his hand at Xu Feng, "Ah! Mr. Xufeng, it's finally your turn, aren't you looking forward to it? β
Xu Feng smiled: "Of course. β
Barbosa laughed, "You're quite optimistic! I feel more and more that you are my great opponent, so I have to get rid of you. Are you jumping on your own, or are you going to let me give you a ride? β
Xu Feng smiled faintly: "You don't need to send it, I'll jump it myself." β
As he spoke, Xu Feng jumped into the sea neatly, with elegant movements, without even splashing a little wave.
The Black Pearl set sail again.
Maple and Captain Jack and Elizabeth landed on the island in disarray.
"Jack! Captain Jack! Elizabeth said eagerly, "Get us out of here!" β
Captain Jack grinned, "How can a miracle happen twice?" β
He walked to an olive tree, knocked on its trunk, listened to the movement, and then took ten steps towards the back of the olive tree.
Elizabeth was pleasantly surprised and asked, "You have a way, don't you?" You must have a solution! I knew it! β
Captain Jack stopped, and used his feet to pluck away the sand, revealing a decaying cellar.
Elizabeth was surprised and asked, "What is this?" β
"Wine cellar." Captain Jack leaned down and pulled out several unlabeled bottles of rum.
Rum without a label is a privately bottled moonshine.
In the 17th century, the technique of refining rum was no secret and could be done by almost any small workshop.
In order to monopolize the government, private brewing was banned in order to make huge profits from the liquor.
And this gave birth to the industry of moonshine transportation.
The wine cellars on this desert island are obviously used by moonshiners to stock up.
Captain Jack opened a bottle and handed it to Xu Feng, "Here, first mate." β
"Thank you." Xu Feng took the moonshine and took a sip gently, his throat suddenly seemed to be burning, and his whole body was hot, and there was no chill at all.
Jack tossed another bottle to Elizabeth, "You can drink one too!" β
"I don't want to drink this kind of wine from an unknown source!" Elizabeth angrily threw the bottle away, "I'm leaving this island!" I'm going to save Will! Jack, haven't you ever left this island? Then you should have a way! β
ββ¦β¦ No way, hiccups. Captain Jack wiped the wine stains from his beard and lay down on the beach.
"There is no way? How did you get out of the island in the first place? Isn't it a hair rope that ties the two turtles? Elizabeth asked, stunned.
"Hahaha!" Captain Jack leaned back with a smile, "Tie the turtle with a hair rope?" Please, the turtle will dive, tie yourself to the turtle and you will drown alive! I, Jack, am so smart, how could I do such a stupid thing? β
"And how did you get out in the first place?"
"This is an island where moonshiners stock up."
"I know, I'm asking how you left?"
"I didn't do anything, I just lay here and drank for three days, then I waited for the moonshiners' merchant ship, and then, on their ship, returned to the port of Totuga." Captain Jack took another sip of wine.
"What?!" Elizabeth exclaimed, "It's that simple? β
Captain Jack grinned, "Young man, sometimes, miracles are just ordinary things, but the timing is just right, so they become miracles. β
Elizabeth asked, "When will the moonshiner come?" β
Captain Jack shook his head, "Look at the wine in this cellar, it seems that no one has been here for a long time, and I'm afraid that these moonshiners have been cleaned up by your fiancΓ© James, and you can only blame your fiancΓ© for this." β
"No moonshiners? That is, no one is going to save us? Elizabeth asked.
"The good news is that we have an endless supply of wine." Jack grinned, "Besides, we're two men and one woman, you can pick one of the two of us, or both." β
Xu Feng waved his hand, "Don't count me, you can pick each other." β
"Damn!" Elizabeth walked up and down the beach in exasperation.
Maple and Jack toast each other's bottles.
It was getting dark, and the cool sea breeze was blowing, and with the effect of alcohol, both Maple and Jack fell asleep.
And Elizabeth did not sleep.
She was unwilling to die here for the rest of her life, and she had to save Will, just like Will had done to save her.
She took all the moonshine out of the cellar, put it on the flat sand, and burned it all.
Hundreds of bottles of strong rum were buried in the fire.
The huge flames lit up the entire sea area, and even from dozens of miles away, you could see the skyrocketing fire.
