Extra: Aurora's Timeline Theory III

Hi hi, it's time for Aurora's lecture on timeline theory and its applications. Presumably, readers who have ideas about the ability to time have been looking forward to this lecture for a long time...... Huh? I don't care at all, it's okay, Aurora, I'm not the kind of unicorn who is lonely because of the neglect of others.

Ahem, the content of this time is related to the jump in the timeline. In the first explanation, Aurora I have already said that the main timeline of the infinite world can never be retraced, not even by us Infinite Apostles. However, in the timeline of the world itself, not only the Infinite Apostles, but also the natives of many worlds can operate on it. Among them, the most attractive is probably the timeline jump.

The principle of the timeline jump is to lock other time points in the entire world timeline at the point in time you are in, and then forcibly detach yourself from that point in time through the time ability, and then land to the locked time point to complete the jump at the timeline level.

The principle of going back to the past and going to the future is more or less the same. However, not to mention the risks that may be associated with jumping between points in time, even though time jumps seem to have a lot of benefits, such as changing the past and gaining information from future history.

However, very few people choose to use this ability after learning about the ability to jump in the timeline, and modify what they have experienced in the past, which is equivalent to modifying the facts that are happening now. However, what has happened is the reality of the world, and to try to modify this reality that has been recognized by the infinite world, in the case of Aurora I know, it is completely impossible without a certain level of ability. As for returning to the past, many worlds are new branches of the past that will be extended to act as a leap in the timeline. And because of the structure of the world itself, the moment the owner of the power of time returns to the past, a new world line is formed—a world line that someone from the future has interfered with.

However, when the temporal sees that the past has changed, and returns safely, they will find that they are still in a universe that has not been changed by themselves, in other words, you can create a new possibility, but you cannot change the reality you are in now. In the words of the technology side, it seems that there is a multiverse that can be triggered by quantum entanglement, of course, Aurora I am the infinite apostle on the mysterious side, and the theory researched by a group of science madmen on the technology side, Aurora I don't understand at all.

Of course, since the infinite world is an infinite representation, the so-called principles, laws, and so on are not dead things that are completely confined to them. Depending on the world, there are worlds where the temporal can indeed change the story that happened in the past timeline, as can be clearly observed in Aurora's observations, and the temporal can indeed affect the future by changing the past. It's just that these so-called changes to the past can't actually change what's happening now. After all, when the temporal ability chooses to break away from the present point in time and interfere with a moment in the past timeline, he is also a participant in the events of the past, creating everything in the present. Since we are already a participant in history, how can we talk about changing the past, we can only say that the former self is living in the past after the intervention of the present self. It can be said that the temporal interference that is destined to occur......

How can it be said that things that are like fate can be changed according to the thoughts of the owner of the ability of time? Nothing changes, everything is just predestined, such a time jump will limit the infinity of the whole world, and turn certain things into fixed occurrences, Aurora I personally will choose to change the timeline structure of the whole world to the former one. In doing so, at the very least, it will ensure the uncertainty of how the world works, or, rather, increase the infinity of the world.

And it is even more dangerous to break yourself out of the present and come to the future than to go back to the past. At least, when jumping to the past point in time, there is also a clear memory of the past, and you can definitely find the past time point, and it is much safer to be swept up in the turbulence of time and get lost in the torrent of time than to jump to the uncertain future, the unknown destination. If you don't have a set destination, it's like a blind person being on a vast ocean, and unless you're lucky, it's a question of whether you can survive or not.

Moreover, the future, which has been reached with great difficulty, is only a branch of the infinite possibilities that the present has temporarily constructed by the world. Not to mention whether this branch is beneficial to the temporal ability, it is a problem for the temporal ability to obtain the most basic information from the unknown future. I don't know the exact time of arrival, I don't know how the world will change, and even in the possible future, I don't even know the language. It is not easy for someone with indefinite time ability to find an accurate time point from the turbulence of time and then break away, and there are many cases where they are immediately killed by future people as unknown dangers.

Moreover, even if we return from the future to the present point in time, it is impossible to predict what it will be like when we advance from the current point in time to the future point in time. It is an uncertain future, and the future with infinite possibilities can be represented by a branch. The different choices made by each person, at each point in time, will bring new branches to the future. In the infinite future branch, it can only be determined when the present point in time is actually reached.

But jumping at the timeline level is not a useless ability. In addition to being able to get information from the future and the past, it's also a good ability in battle. For example, when an opponent attacks, you can time jump immediately, dodge the attack by jumping to a different point in time, and then return to the current point in time to suddenly attack. And at the point in time that is constantly flowing now, the opponent who disappeared in an instant after the time jump, and then reappeared without warning, is really quite a powerful ability. Of course, if you also have the ability to time, you can also lock a certain range of plus or minus in the timeline at the same time at the current point in time and perform a range of sweeps on the timeline. Both Hearts and Aurora belong to the same batch of Infinite Apostles, and among our predecessors, Aurora and I have had the privilege of seeing a Radial Strike against enemies that exist on the timeline before becoming an Infinite Apostle. Therefore, using the timeline jumping ability to avoid is not a very treasure chest option.

So, that's the end of this explanation about timeline jumping for the time being, after all, Aurora's ability is not enough to get in touch with a higher level of time use. In the next timeline theory, Aurora will explain to you a series of time ability applications such as time rewind on the individual side, so stay tuned.

ps: Today's extra update, half past five in the evening is the text update.
