In our village, there are many various legends about Tianshui Rock, and the most heard is the story about the python.

It is rumored that in ancient times, in the Tianshui rock, there lived a black python, every summer, it would often climb from the hole to the stream outside the cave to play in the water, several times when the villagers went to carry water, they saw its traces, but fortunately it did not harm the villagers, because of this, the villagers in the village have always lived in peace with the python.

Until one year, it rained heavily for half a month, and all the paddy fields in the village were flooded, and the houses built in the low-lying areas of the village were also destroyed.

At this time, an elder in the village who knew feng shui Zhu You calculated a hexagram, saying that the sky was out of phase, and I was afraid that there would be monsters, and told the villagers to hide at home during this period, not to go out at will, until the rain subsided, before they could come out to work.

But coincidentally, there is an elderly grandmother in the village, she has no children and no daughters, she has been lonely all her life, and when she was old, she raised a little white cat as a companion, and this little white cat has always been very docile and obedient.

On this day, the little white cat didn't know what crazy demon was, and suddenly screamed out of the house at noon, standing on the hillside in the rain and screaming non-stop at the stagnant water under the slope.

The old woman regarded the little white cat as a parent, and naturally couldn't bear it to be drowned, so she hurriedly took an umbrella and chased the little white cat to the hillside, at this time the rain was already a lot lighter, the old woman walked over tremblingly, hugged the little white cat and prepared to go home, who knew that at this time suddenly a huge black python burst out of the water under the slope, blocking the old woman's way.

Amazingly, the black python didn't seem to mean to hurt the old woman, but just kept circling around the old woman and didn't let her leave.

The old woman is an old person, and she has seen some of the world, not to mention the people in the mountains, who know more or less those doorways, so although she is very afraid, she quickly concluded that this black python may have something to say to her, and then think of the continuous rain for most of the month, could it be that the giant python in Tianshui Rock is going to "go away"?

Walking Jiao is a saying in the mountains of Xiangxi, that is, after years of practice, the python has the potential to transform into a dragon, and it will rain heavily at this time, helping it to leave the cave of cultivation and enter the river by the water.

But before becoming a dragon, it needs to go out to find someone to "ask for directions", the most common example is to hang the snake body in the middle of the road, when the passerby sees it, if the passerby exclaims, "Dragon, there is a dragon, then it can smoothly transform into a dragon, if the passerby exclaims, "Snake, what a big snake, then it means that its cultivation is not enough, the opportunity has not yet arrived, can only return to the cave to continue practice."

Probably because humans are the primates of all things, so only after being recognized by people can they really transform into dragons.
