Chapter 721: Classics
In this way, it becomes a problem for these people to sacrifice to their ancestors, but don't worry, they have their own methods.
For most Mongolians, the religion they believe in is the more popular shamanism in the Manchurian and Mongolian regions, the worldview of shamanism is different from Buddhism, they believe that all things have spirituality, all beings are equal, and the attitude towards all kinds of demons and monsters is similar to the fictional "interception of religion" in the "Romance of the Gods", regardless of origin, has, great inclusiveness.
In fact, this view is also found in Taoism, the most typical is Shangqing Lingbao Tianzun.
According to legend, most of the stars in the heavens are the disciples of Lingbao Tianzun, among them, the most typical is the twenty-eight constellations, what are the twenty-eight constellations? It is the twenty-eight gods led by the green dragon and white tiger Vermilion Bird Xuanwu, the heart moon fox, the tailed fire tiger, the earth raccoon dog, and the twenty-eight Fangri rabbits, all of which are "beasts", in the Quanzhen Taoism, which is the most obsessed with and focused on Xiuzhen, is more disgusted with this kind of thing, so some guardians have a certain disagreement with the people in the Shangqing lineage, and the very strange "interception" and "expoundment" disputes have also appeared, and even, on the head of the Sanqing Daozu, there are also more Hongjun Daozu, not blowing or black, this person is not.
However, I have also repeatedly mentioned that "Romance of the Gods" or "Journey to the West" are all re-creations of later generations on the basis of certain folklore, to put it bluntly, most of them are fictional, however, these two books can indeed be linked to each other, because, although the time when the book was written has a sequence, however, the things they learn from are also from the folk, some people say that "Journey to the West" is to worship Buddhism and suppress Taoism, because, in the book, as one of the ancestors of the Three Qing Daoists, Taishang Laojun is very weak, And it looks like the little henchman next to the Jade Emperor, Sun Wukong kicked the gossip furnace over, what is this special name
It's similar to this, people who watched "Romance of the Gods" also said, what did this make Buddhism look like? How did the four great bodhisattvas of Buddhism become the disciples of Yuan Shi Tianzun? Who is the Lamplighter? It is the ancient Buddha who burns the lamp, the teacher of Sakyamuni, the third Buddha ranks first, and when the last recitation of the Buddha's name in the Journey to the West, you have to put people in the first place, according to the "Diamond Sutra", although Sakyamuni's achievements are great, but he is not the first to preach, before him, there are six people who have become Buddhas one step ahead of him, which is the first place in the world, is to burn the lamp.
Why is it called a lamp? It is said that when he was born, there were ten thousand Buddha lights around him, and the neighborhood was illuminated as day, so he got the name of the lamp, at that time, Buddhism was not founded, and it was not accepted by the local residents, in this situation similar to the contention of a hundred schools, as a holder of the supreme supernatural power of the lamp ancient Buddha walked on the road of preaching, there was a puddle of sewage in front of him, he wanted to step over from above, at this time, a child pounced, clicked in front of him, with his own clothes and hair to cover the sewage, Let the ancient Buddha walk over from above, and when he saw it, he was particularly moved, so he said to this child: "Good man, you should be a Buddha in the next life, called Sakyamuni." ”
As a result, a prophecy, n years later, Sakyamuni attained the Tao and became a Buddha, he recalled this incident with great emotion, saying that at that time, the ancient Buddha of the lamp had a "grace of memorization" to him, and he was his own teacher, as the "Buddha of the past", in addition, there was a "future Buddha", that is, Maitreya Buddha, what did Maitreya Buddha do? It is usually understood that it is a disciple of Rulai, this disciple is very capable, and his understanding is also very strong, the Buddha in order to purify sentient beings, let him go to their so-called "heavenly realm" to preach the scriptures and spread Buddhist thoughts, as a result, this person spoke so well, everyone never got tired of listening, so they left him where to let him stay for a while longer, so Maitreya Buddha was "detained" there to preach, the Buddha meant that when he was destroyed, the main responsibility for spreading the teachings would be on Maitreya's body, so Maitreya became the "future Buddha", this, It is the origin of the so-called "three Buddhas" in Buddhist teachings.
If, say, judging who blows who blows in the two books by the table of religious figures, there is a certain basis for what I just said, in Journey to the West, the Taoist family came out, and the most bullish character should be Lao Jun, it seems, the table xiàn is mediocre. In the gods, the most powerful figure in Buddhism, the most senior is the lamp, the most influential is Sakyamuni, which one is the most influential in the book? Duobao Taoist is the one who "turns Hu into Tao" in Lao Tzu, and his appearance is relatively awesome among the villains, but Cheng Dù is also very limited.
Speaking of which, some people will ask, Shakyamuni is so awesome, why is he not a "Western guide"? The reason is very simple, the prototype of the Western Taoist is "Buddha", there are many reasons, and many people have argued, so I won't talk nonsense.
From a personal point of view, looking at the two novels objectively, I don't really think that I am really blowing who blacks who, in "Journey to the West", the respect for Guanyin Bodhisattva is obvious, this is related to Tang Xuanzang's personal experience, in history, there is really a person of Sanzang Master, his personal achievements are great, and there are things to learn from the scriptures, and it is said that he has encountered a lot of difficulties and obstacles on the way to learn the scriptures, and he is going to die in the desert, reciting the Dharma name of Guanyin to pray for help, and it rains as a result, and he is robbed by bandits, In his eyes, Guanyin Bodhisattva is his savior, and the "Journey to the West" written with him as the main line will definitely have a little trace of this.
On the other hand, Tang Seng took the scriptures, all the Sanskrit scriptures were taken, to transform the world, this kind of foreign language classics is not good, after he took the scriptures, the most important work left is to translate, the translated scriptures, the most widely circulated, the most influential, is the "Heart Sutra", "Heart Sutra" is the abbreviation, its full name is "Prajnaparamita Heart Sutra", you may not have heard this name, but the content of the content must have heard: "Guanzi in the Bodhisattva when the deep Prajnaparamita." Seeing that the five aggregates are empty, the degree of suffering is one. The relics are not different from emptiness, emptiness is not different from color, color is emptiness, emptiness is color, and the same is true when you want to know it. The relics are the void phase of all laws, neither born nor destroyed, neither dirty nor pure, neither increased nor decreased."
I have the impression that although this text is quite short, it is objectively one of the most influential texts of Buddhism.
