Chapter 1145: um Qasr Military Port

um Qasr Military Port, the largest deep-water port in the Persian Gulf purchased by Future Technology Group from the Iraqi government and developed by itself.

Once the largest military port in the entire Persian Gulf was the military port of the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, and since the future technology group purchased the entire um Qasr, which was originally just a small port, and carried out a large-scale renovation for two years, the expansion of the U-shaped bay, the addition of underwater breakwaters, and the deployment of security surveillance sonar and underwater anti-infiltration nets, it has become the largest Bahrain military port in the Persian Gulf at present, and the safety factor is not inferior to that of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet.

Many of the Iraqis who had been living in um Qasr had been relocated to the new city of um Qasr, and all parts of the coastal area near the military port had become a large industrial base.

At the same time, because of its natural topography, it is located on the edge of the Persian Gulf, and compared to Basra, which requires a long waterway to enter, it is also the largest port in Iraq, and countless cargo ships dock here every day.

On the sea, dozens or hundreds of large cargo ships can be seen every day, lining up to enter the port on the sea.

Because of the Iraqi government's tax-free policy for Future Technology Group, these cargo ships that transport various ores or other things to Future Technology Group only need to pay a little tax before entering the port, and almost all goods shipped to Future Technology Group are exempt from inspection.

This makes the operation of the port very efficient, and the daily throughput of um Qasr Port is also maintained at an efficient rate.

And the port is different from the military port next to the international port. It's a lot more deserted every day.

Because the military port here is too large, and the warships inside. Often, there are only one or two, and occasionally there are warships of the Iraqi Navy that come here for a few days, but they are also immediately powerful.

On the edge of the military port is a purpose-built naval commercial residential area, and there are two sprawling airports nearby, one of which appears to be still under construction. There is also the largest air force coastal airfield in the south where the Iraqi Air Force is stationed, which belongs to the operational sequence of naval aviation.

On the side, there is also the second largest shipyard in Iraq for the future shipbuilding industry. The large-scale factory occupies the other side of the entire U-shaped bay, covering an area of hundreds of square kilometers, and is the second largest shipyard in the entire Middle East. It is second only to the largest shipyard in Basra, which also belongs to the future shipbuilding industry.

It's just a shipyard here. Not like all shipyards in the world, they are open to the outside world, but more like a fully enclosed dry dock construction, not only are they surrounded by heavy iron buildings, but the gates on both sides are only briefly opened when the ships are launched, and the doors are closed again as soon as the ships are transferred out of the shipyard through the rails.

Even so far, no one has seen the shipyard inside. What exactly does it look like, there are also quite rumors in the outside world.

Because there are some things that are hidden. It is also impossible to hide that the time taken to build a ship is very efficient.

Through the efficiency of the shipyard's construction of merchant ships, a 100,000-ton cargo ship can be launched in a month for the future shipbuilding industry, and many equipment are also outfitted in the dry dock, and it only takes 40 days before and after to be used.

Such efficiency, even the extremely efficient shipbuilding industry in the United States, is far from being enough.

And some people also found that many of these shipyards, which were all the same size, never had ships come out.

For this reason, some people have been joking that there must be a warship being built, and it is a large warship, after all, the ship construction technology owned by the Future Technology Group is also quite advanced.

As soon as it was launched, there were a variety of warship types, ranging from advanced destroyers of more than 6,000 tons to various small missile boats, shore defense vessels, and coast guard ships.

And every type of warship is very advanced, although the Iraqi Navy is very low-key, but the US Navy, which has been cooperating with the Navy of the Future Technology Group, has repeatedly praised it.

Many US Navy officers who have boarded the warships of the Future Science and Technology Group have praised such warships, and almost none of them have anything bad to say.

It's just that for a long time, Future Technology Group has rarely sold warships to the outside world, otherwise, many interested countries may have really started a long time ago.

Of course, there may also be a relationship with the United States, or it may be that the Future Technology Group really has no intention of selling warships.

It's just that today, an unexpected visitor broke the peace here, in the waters outside um Qasr, dozens of cargo ships flying the flags of various countries, many seafarers are on the cargo ship, pointing at a fleet that is slowly anchored at sea not far away.

Especially for the bright red flag hoisted above the fleet, there is a special freshness.

On many merchant ships, several large cargo ships from my hometown, all the crew members kept cheering: "This is the ...... of our fleet"

The seafarers of other countries were also a little shocked, after all, more than 20 large surface combat ships appeared at once, and all of them were Chinese, and this was definitely the first time they had seen them.

Not to mention them, even the old family members have seen it for the first time, and the main thing is that this is the Middle East, far from the Far East, or such a sensitive region as the Persian Gulf.

Although they don't know what such a huge fleet of their hometown is doing here, for these ordinary seafarers, all they have to do now is to pick up their cameras and take pictures.

Then the Iraqi Navy appeared and greeted a 052D destroyer flying the command flag, as well as two frigates, to the um Qasr military port.

The Iraqi Navy is based in Basra, and it seems strange to welcome the navy from its homeland to um Qasr, a military port belonging to the Future Technology Group.

But soon, everyone was not surprised at all, because the fleet of the hometown was coming for the Future Technology Group.

In the name of Iraq's national sovereignty, the Iraqi Navy welcomed the fleets of friendly countries into the port, and that was also etiquette.

The Future Technology Group could not exercise such a right, so Iraq did it on its behalf, and at the port of the Future Technology Group Military Port, Sha Yiqi, Minister of the Navy of the Future Security Company (a guest appearance by a book friend), personally held a welcome ceremony on the port.
