Chapter 330: The Box of Deception
In the fighting arena of the Black Iron Camp, a young warrior of the Baimon is battling a two-headed vicious dog. This world's specialty was as tall as a calf, with its two heads bared, its eyes glittering, and some yellowish liquid dripping to the ground from time to time along the fangs that had been turned out of its upper lip.
The vicious dog was faced by a young man of seventeen or eighteen years old, with clear muscular lines, and he wore a straw skirt and held a sharpened wooden spear in his hand. Slightly arched, he lowered his center of gravity and stared intently at his opponent.
The two-headed vicious dog barked a few times and couldn't help but attack first. It swooped down like lightning and bit down on the young man's neck. The young man nimbly rolled away and threw the wooden spear out of the way. Unfortunately, the vicious dog bounced, and let the wooden spear plunge into the sun-scorched sand.
Taking advantage of the fact that he had no weapon in hand, the vicious dog accelerated towards him. The young man sprang towards the wooden spear, lunging as he approached it, reaching out and grabbing it. There was a bloody wind in the back of his head, and the vicious dog swooped down like a black cloud. There was an exclamation in the audience, and people saw that the vicious dog pressed down on the young man's body. When he thought he had become a vicious dog/food, the tip of the wooden spear pierced the dog's back.
The two-headed dog was extremely fierce, and his neck was pierced, but the two big heads were still vying to bite the young man below. The young man held a spear in one hand and held up the vicious dog's belly with the other so that it could not bite it. But it was inevitable that the sharp claws of the two-headed dog tore out blood marks on his body, and after a while, the vicious dog finally lost too much blood and lost his breath.
The young man threw it to the ground, covered in blood himself, but he didn't care as he drew his wooden spear and raised it high and roared.
"What's his name?" Alan asked.
"Dima, a nice boy." Caesar said.
"It's just him, and the young people just now, I want it." Allen said.
Caesar nodded and left, and he walked over to the young man named Dima, pointing at Eren who didn't know what to say to him. Dima nodded frequently when she heard this, and then raised the wooden spear in her hand towards Eren and left the scene excitedly.
"Look at these people, they're young, they're strong, they're in great shape. I'm willing to bet they can fight with ease, even if they wear full-body armor. Alan said with his hands around his chest.
Lucy looked at the box she had asked for from King Kong and said, "You're going to make them hoplites?" ā
"Why not, a thirty-man hoplite regiment, with the power of the fire/guns of this world, is not at all a threat to them." "They're rare and strong fighters, and I don't want to waste them," Allen said. As for cannon fodder, in the future, it is enough to directly recruit men from the empire's homeland. ā
He finally couldn't help but ask, "What's so special about your box?" ā
Lucy opened the box, her hand smearing the pattern of the golden rose at the bottom of the box, and a strange line of symbols underneath the pattern. "This is the ancient language of Idahuaxing, which means the box of deception," she said. I've read records of the Fraud Box in the Royal Library, which is actually the predecessor of the safe, but it's more elaborate. ā
"Wait, you said this thing belongs to your Adahuaxing?" Alendon was overwhelmed: "Could it be that this is also your colony star?" ā
Lucy shook her head: "Impossible, if it is our colony star, there will definitely be more than that." And so far, I haven't found any signs that a colony should have. ā
"Then how can there be anything on your planet......" Alan wondered.
Lucy shook the box of fraud in her hand: "I guess that the so-called demon blood of the Baimeng people should be some kind of genetic medicine. Perhaps a long time ago, our ancestors performed a series of realizations on this planet. The so-called demons encountered by the ancestors of the Baimeng people may be the real yĆ n body at that time. ā
"Real yĆ n?"
"Yes, some research that is not allowed on Idava, and some of it will be done secretly on other planets. Forbidden lives, weapons of mass destruction, and so on, may be the subject of research. Lucy blinked, "You humans don't often carry out weapons in remote places that are inaccessible, this is the same reason. The only difference is that we're a little bigger. ā
Alan shook his head and smiled bitterly: "The scale of research that needs to be carried out across the star field will not be just a little larger. ā
"Who knows, but there might be an answer." Lucy patted the box and said, "It's used to contain demon blood, so there may be relevant records to keep." The box of fraud is usually used to keep some secret texts, and the secret will allow the delicate mechanism to be stored somewhere in the box, and the designer will deliberately leave the wrong guidance, so it is called the box of fraud. ā
"It's so troublesome, can't it be opened violently?"
"In that case, the secret in this box will be 100% destroyed." Lucy shrugged and said, "I'll work on it slowly when I get back to Sur City, and I'll need some tools." ā
Speaking of Sur City, Alan thought to himself, and he didn't know how Edward's affairs were going.
In the city of Suer, scaffolding has been erected on the right side of the city lord's mansion, and workers are rebuilding it. It's just that the sound of the work is so loud that Ethan wrote a letter intermittently for a morning before it was finally finished and put into an envelope. Ethan sealed it with wax and handed it to a clever young man. He's Richie, the messenger that Mato has found.
"Be sure to deliver this letter into the hands of Sir Maud, for it is your reward." Ethan tossed him a bag of silver coins.
Richie took the silver coin and said, "I'll be happy to serve you, my lord." ā
Watching Richie leave, Ethan stood at the window. From this position, you can see the house that Eren and the others are in not far away, and now in Ethan's eyes, that house is undoubtedly a dragon's lair, with tempting treasures waiting to be discovered by himself.
"It's all mine, this city is mine, everything in it is mine! None of you can take it away! Ethan said through gritted teeth.
Ridge crosses a narrow alley, and a short distance beyond is the city gate. Out of the city, someone had prepared a fast horse for him, and he could reach Storm City in three days at most and two days at least. The thought of the bag of silver coins in his pocket warmed Richie's heart. With this money, you can marry Sedrine, right? He thought.
Suddenly, a figure came out of the alley, and Richie suddenly stopped, wanting to go back. Unexpectedly, two men came out of a low building next to him as if nothing had happened, and stood in the middle of the road with a big thorn, blocking his retreat. Richie was a little flustered, and he could see that these people were not well-intentioned. The two men behind him were expressionless and indifferent, looking at him as if they were looking at a dead corpse.
A gentle voice rang out from behind: "Mr. Richie, I want to buy something with you." ā
Richie looked back, and the man in front of him was a handsome young man. Richie recognized him and smiled dryly, "Mr. Edward, I'm a little man, and there's something worth buying from me." ā
"Absolutely." Edward smiled, "Take the letter you have, for example. ā
Richie subconsciously touched his chest, Edward's eyes fell on it, and he took out a bag of silver coins, which weighed a lot more than Ethan's: "Give me that letter, it's yours." ā
"Mr. Edward, this is Lord Ethan's stuff. If I lose it, adults won't let me go. ā
"You can rest assured that Sir Ethan will not pursue you." Edward's bright smile seemed a little out of place in this gloomy alley.
Looking at the smile on his face, Ethan shuddered.
Edward glanced at the two men behind him, and they walked forward, putting a lot of pressure on Richie. Edward said, "Of course, you can also protect it to the death, then I can only take it from your corpse." If that were the case, poor Miss Sedling would never have waited for her beloved to return, and in that case she might have to marry another strange man at last. ā
"Mr. Richie, would you like to see such a picture?"
Richie sighed and smiled wryly, "It looks like I'm going to have to disappear in Sur City for a few days." ā
As he spoke, he took out the envelope and handed it to Edward. Edward slipped the silver coin into his pocket, patted Richie on the shoulder, and said, "You are a smart man, and smart people always have a good time." You should take a vacation, and maybe take Miss Sedrin with you. ā
"I think she'll be happy." Rich said, "Then I will take my leave, sir." ā
Edward gestured, the two men got out of the way, and Richie hurriedly left, for fear that Edward would change his mind.
"Woe to you having a good holiday." Edward smiled, then gracefully tore the letters to shreds and threw them into the nearby sewer.
That night, Ethan sat alone at the dining table. There was an abundance of food on the table, and when he sent the letter away today, it was as if he could already see wealth beckoning to him. The weapons in the hands of those strangers were almost like treasures, and Ethan was almost certain that some of the weapons dealers were willing to pay a lot of money for them. The premise is that you have to get your hands on them first.
Ethan had already decided not to rush to execute these men when the knights of Storm City arrested them. There must be other secrets hidden in those men, and they are probably as valuable as the Krossian loom and their weapons.
Endless riches. Ethan thought of the wonderful word, which made him laugh happily and drink the wine from his glass.
Suddenly, the door of the restaurant was pushed open, and Ethan said angrily: "Who is so presumptuous that you dare to disturb my meal!" ā
"It's me, Honorable Sir Ethan." Edward, who was full of smiles, strode in, put his hands in his trouser pockets, glanced at the table full of delicious food, and whistled: "What a hearty dinner, but adults don't advocate frugality, why do you suddenly have big fish and big meat." I think it's a good mood. Also, it won't be long before the Storm City army catches those who don't like the adults. From then on, no one could threaten Sir Ethan. If it were me, I would have eaten happily. You say yes, right? ā
Ethan's face suddenly became extremely difficult to look at. R1058
