【116】Dengzhen Hidden Secret!

With great excitement and anticipation, I finally slowly lifted the red cloth, and the thought that the mystery that had plagued me for nearly half a year was about to be revealed, and my hands holding the red cloth couldn't help but tremble a little.

However, when the thing was actually disassembled, I couldn't help but be stunned on the spot!

"Huh?"

As the saying goes, the greater the hope, the greater the disappointment. According to my previous guess, since my grandfather so solemnly handed over this thing to me, then there must be some great treasure in it!

After all, he said at the time, if I encounter something that I can't get over after four years, then open it. The overtone of the words is that there should be enough to help me through the disaster.

But I never imagined that what was wrapped in it was just a thin thread-bound ancient book! That's right, it's just a thin thread-bound ancient book!

Can this thing help me survive the disaster?

"This ......"

With a suspicious look on my face, I took a closer look at this line-bound ancient book. The cover of the ancient book is made of thick brown paper, and judging from the appearance alone, this thing really has nothing outstanding except for its age.

But when I turned the ancient book over, I found that on its back, the four vigorous and powerful characters of "Dengzhen Hidden Secret" were written in ancient seal script!

The secret of Dengzhen?

Isn't this the magnum opus of Tao Hongjing, the founder of the Maoshan School?

I have repeatedly seen the words "Dengzhen Hidden Secret" in some previous metaphysical books, and almost every author highly recommends this book and often cites the content of it, so I also went to the Internet to find this book.

I admit that this book is indeed unique and very helpful in spiritual practice, but ...... Something so easily found on the Internet, could my grandfather have given it to me so solemnly? Do you have to wait until four years to open it?

With such a question, I finally opened the title page of the ancient book, and the first page of the ancient book also printed a Taoist priest with a fairy wind bone, which should be Tao Hongjing. I read through the text from the second page onwards, and finally found that the content of this book was not much different from the version I found on the Internet.

The only difference may be that the text is annotated with dense annotations next to it, and it is also interspersed with some previous experiences, most of which are written by my grandfather, because other people use brushes, but he uses a fountain pen, and the writing is very small, so he can naturally record more things.

Overall, the book is very cluttered, almost like a "hodgepodge". It not only involves the method of practicing Qi, but also involves talismans, formations, and even feng shui, divination and even alchemy! Rather than being a book, I think it's better to call it a "reading note", because the annotation next to it is more than ten times richer than the text!

However, although it covers a lot of content, most of it is only superficial, and it talks about very basic things that do not go into it. I've even read most of them in other books or in the mouth of Lao Zhangtou!

In other words, this book didn't really help me very much! I really can't figure it out, is it worth such a solemn amount of my grandfather just such basic things? And I don't think these things can help me much in the future.

"It shouldn't be ......"

After a cursory flip through the entire ancient book, my mind became more and more unpredictable. There's no reason, after a long time of trouble, my grandfather left me such a dispensable thing? And told me that I had to wait until four years before I could open it? This is obviously a bit counterintuitive......

"Huh?"

Suddenly, a flash of inspiration flashed in my mind, and I quickly turned the book to the title page, looking at the portrait of the Taoist priest on the title page, I couldn't help but think of the portrait of the Taoist priest on the token of the master, judging from the specifications, the two portraits are almost the same size......

I took out my grandfather's head token from the Qiankun bag, and directly pressed the side engraved with the portrait of the Taoist priest on the book on it!

"Boom!"

The dazzling golden light bloomed in an instant, and the scene in front of me also changed in an instant, and the words on the ancient books seemed to be resurrected, like tadpoles, and suddenly swam out of the paper and rearranged in the void.

Before I could react, all the words instantly gathered in one place, turned into a wisp of gold, and directly sank into the center of my eyebrows.

"Ahh

In an instant, I felt like a thunderbolt sounding in my mind, a sharp pain like a pinprick in my eyebrows, and my head was tilted, and I had already fainted.

In a daze, I seemed to see a Taoist priest, but his image was very blurry, and I couldn't see his appearance clearly. Looking closely, I think he looks a lot like the Taoist priest in the portrait, that is, Tao Hongjing, but at the same time I think he is very similar to my grandfather......

I saw that the seals in his hands were constantly sealed, turning into golden runes, as if he was sealing something.

I don't know how long it lasted, but the Taoist priest suddenly stopped what he was doing and nodded slightly to me, and then quickly disappeared from my mind.

And once the Taoist priest disappeared, my consciousness also returned to normal in an instant, and I woke up leisurely, looking at the time, I obviously thought that a long time had passed, but in fact, only a few minutes had passed......

Looking at the ancient books in front of him, they had already returned to normal, as if nothing had happened.

I meditated carefully, and sure enough, I found that there were a lot of things in my mind, and most of them were some cultivation methods. I have just seen almost all of these methods in ancient books, but unlike them, most of the methods mentioned in ancient books are just brief introductions and do not go into depth. But what appears in my memory is a complete Dharma!

On top of that, I also felt like I had a golden cocoon in my mind, a very strange feeling, and it was clear that it was in my memory, but I couldn't remember what it was.

Seal?

Suddenly, I remembered the Taoist priest who had just fallen asleep, and I felt as if he was sealing something. Could it be that the golden cocoon in my mind is the result of his seal?

Or is it because of my lack of strength that some memories I can't touch at all?

Still, I'm already happy. Because there are a lot of methods in my mind at once, and almost all of these methods are some special methods of the Maoshan School that are not passed on, and I have heard Lao Zhang Tou mention several of them, but even he has only heard of them, and they can't touch them at all. Because this is used by the Maoshan faction to press the bottom of the box. Even if you are a disciple of Maoshan Mountain, you may not be able to touch it, only the core disciples among them can cultivate!

And through the reading of memory, I learned that the book "Dengzhen Hidden Secret" left to me by my grandfather is the same as the head token, which is something that has been passed down from generation to generation in Maoshan and can only be held by Maoshan Zhangjiao!

Its importance is not even inferior to the head token of Maoshan! Because it represents the inheritance of Maoshan from generation to generation, many of the secret techniques in it can even be practiced only by the master.

So I guess that the memory that was sealed away by the Taoist priest is very likely to be the supreme method that can only be cultivated by the Maoshan Sect!

I don't feel any pity for this, I can't chew too much, if I can learn all these existing methods, it will be quite remarkable! I'm afraid that's enough for me to comprehend for many years, so how can I still covet the supreme method that only Maoshan can practice?

Of course, even if there are these existing methods, I'm afraid I can only cultivate them quietly, and until my strength is enough to protect myself, I can't let others know that I know these methods! After all, this is the mastery of the Maoshan faction, and I am not a disciple of Maoshan, even if my grandfather is the master of the previous generation of Maoshan, I am afraid they will not let me practice!
