Chapter 95: A History of Great Changes (Part II)
Under the old mage's explanation, Ryan finally understood who Alodi was.
Alodi was the first Guardian of the Council of Tirisfar, but the Council's history is even older than him, as the original Council did not train Guardians, but fought as a team against demons attracted by humans' misuse of arcane magic.
Humans have no restraint after learning magic from the High Elves, and the newly established city-state of Dalaran is the most serious, and their endless spells have once again attracted the invasion of demons, and the humans who are completely unable to parry can only turn to the High Elf Kingdom of Quel'Salas for help.
After seeing that the actions of humans might once again cause a major invasion of the world, the High Elves immediately formulated a plan with Dalaran's higher-in-command, the then Magoklath Council, to form a secret organization of many powerful mages to protect Azeroth and limit the misuse of magic, which is how the Council of Tirispha came from.
As the first and most powerful guardian of the past, Alodi possessed unfathomable magical powers.
If it was a message he left behind, it would not be unusual at all.
As for Khadgar...... Even though he was already a dead man, the glowing Tyrisphath Council sigil on the inside of his left forearm still made Ryan a little uncomfortable.
That's right, even though the former Medivan was also the Guardian elected by the Council of Tirisfar, the transcendent Guardian of the World is comparable to a 'mole' like Khadgar who was clearly sent to spy on Medivan?
Even if Khadgar's surveillance of Medivan had been proven correct, it didn't mean that Ryan would accept Khadgar, and thankfully, Khadgar died.
His death was not worthless.
Under the magic of the old court mage, Ryan finally saw what made him determined for the first time.
A magic book of this caliber was a precious magic item in its own right, and after the old mage was infused with arcane energy, an image of a near-holographic stereoscopic projection appeared in mid-air.
At first, what caught everyone's eyes was two huge planets connected by long black lines.
There was no reaction.
Until under the operation of the old mage, one end of it is constantly enlarged at high speed, magnified, and enlarged again.
From outside the atmosphere, to the huge overlooking horizon, to the trees that could be seen, Lothar was the first to react.
"This is around here...... Is it a swamp of sorrow!?"
What catches the eye is a low-lying swamp that is turning into a desert. The water level is rapidly decreasing at a rate visible to the naked eye. Countless and colorful insects are crawling out of all corners of the swamp and fleeing in all directions.
The earth is changing color!
From the ugly black-black-green-green of the swamp, to a lifeless crimson.
Even if you look with both eyes, you can clearly feel that something is seriously deviating, that something is leaving the land with fear.
Something else is coming!
It was a force that made people very uncomfortable just by sight, and felt that it was difficult to breathe, and that they felt depressed.
Just looking at the aura of that power, I felt that the oxygen in my lungs was squeezed out, and even my body trembled involuntarily.
That's the power of evil!
That's demonic power!
This evil is corrupting and affecting the whole earth, ruling over everything and destroying everything.
Even the uninhabited black swamp could not withstand this force, and began to turn into a crimson and filthy desert
"What is over there?" Bolvar suddenly pointed to a large artifact in the crimson earth.
The old mage used his mana as he was told, and let the power of the magic book pass through to that side.
The scene in front of the "......" made the people in the entire council hall lose the ability to speak.
A huge door, at least a dozen stories high, stood alone on the barren red earth, with an ominous black-green evil light emitting from the door frame. Piles of orcs scrambled out of the door, then were yelled at by the stronger orc leaders and driven to a nearby clearing.
The materials used to construct the doors are not at all exquisite by sight, but you can clearly see that the style of the doors is very similar to that of ancient temples. At the top of the huge door frame is an extremely hideous, large-mouthed relief of a giant serpent. On either side of the door frame are reliefs of two human mages standing with swords and hoods.
It seemed to be specially shown to people, and Ryan and the others saw the face on the relief through the shadow of the hood that should have been wrapped in black fog on the relief. The two reliefs on the left and right have identical faces - that is the face of Medivan, the former guardian of Azeroth!!
And in the next moment, the relief of the Medivan statue seemed to come to life.
No, it was all Medivan's will.
The projection of Medivan's head, the size of a carriage, appeared in mid-air in the council chamber through Alodi's magic book.
Medivan, no, it should be said that Sargeras's voice immediately rang out in the council chamber.
"Oh, oh, that's amazing, I didn't expect you to track it down to this point. "It's still the smiling Medivan, it's still the same spring breeze expression, the only difference is that there are evil black flame eyes in those pupils.
That's the eye of Sargeras, the king of demons!
For people with weak strength, just looking at him is enough to freeze his blood. As Ryan's personal guards, these guards should not lack courage, but Ryan was horrified to find that more than half of the guards in the council chamber had been slumped to the ground in shock.
For the rest, the performance is also quite unbearable.
There are only a handful of people in the hall who can withstand the terrifying aura of the demonic web.
"Medivan!no—who the hell are you, Demon?, what do you want!?" King Ryan drew his sword and stood with Anduin and Berval in front of the Demon King's projection, despite a slight tremor in his voice.
"Nothing, what I wanted to do is done. Now that the Dark Gate has been opened, I will quietly admire in Karazhan the ugliness of your humans, elves, and dwarves, slowly being destroyed by the orcs. It is very pleasant to watch you move towards destruction in despair and fear. There is nothing more ironic than taking the super power of your guardians and destroying you in turn!hahahaha!"
Medivan under Sargeras's control let out a startling laugh, and seeing his old friend under the control of the demon show such a crazy expression, Ryan and Anduin felt like nausea.
Medivan's head projection turned into a half-length projection, and his arms outstretched, his voice echoing through the council chamber and even the storm fortress like a tsunami: "Destruction cannot be stopped! Cry, you ants! Cry and beg, kneel at my feet and beg for mercy - and then you will die." Hahahahaha!"
Suddenly, a young voice came: "Fart, as long as I kill you, I can close the door of darkness." ”
