……

With the passage of time, compared with modern time and space, the flavor of the New Year in the Tang Dynasty has become much heavier.

Seeing that the New Year was getting closer and closer, Wang Youde, as a housekeeper, had already begun to command his subordinates and made preparations for the New Year.

In the Tang Dynasty, there was no custom of pasting Spring Festival couplets, and the names of Shen Tu and Yu Lei were often written on peach wood boards, and hung at the head of the door, called "fairy wood" or "peach symbol".

Legend has it that Shen Tu and Yu Lei are brothers, "performance ghosts", living under the peach tree. In the fifth dynasty, Hou Shu Mengchang inscribed on the peach charm "New Year's Yuqing, Jiajie Changchun", which is said to be the first Spring Festival couplet. Later, "Peach Fu" became another name for Spring Festival couplets.

In fact, there was no Spring Festival in the Zhenguan period, according to the festival tradition of the Tang Dynasty at that time, it was to separate the last day of the year and the first day of the year. The end of the year is called New Year's Day, and the beginning of the year is called New Year's Day.

Before Chinese New Year's Eve, people rush home as much as possible to reunite with their loved ones. On Chinese New Year's Eve, the whole family gathers for a feast, drinking peppercorn wine that repels cold and moisture, that is, putting peppercorns on a plate and putting a little into a cup when drinking. After the feast, the whole family sits around the brazier until dawn, which is called "keeping the year".

Du Fu once had a poem: "Guarding the year of Arong's family, the pepper plate has been sung to flowers." Dong Sigong Shiyun: "For this happy feast, pour the pot and wait for the dawn." Chu Guangxi's poem said: "Close the door and keep watch at the beginning of the night, and burn the fire until the early morning." "It's about feasting and keeping the New Year.

There is also a superstitious ritual to ward off the plague on Chinese New Year's Eve. It is called "傩" (nuó, pronounced Ruono) or "大傩". This is an activity that has been handed down from ancient times, and in the Analects there is a record of "villager nu".

On this day, the Tang people choose boys, wear terrible masks, red and black clothes and trousers, and dance drums to ward off ghosts. The lead dancer is called "Fang Xiangshi", the accompanying dancer is called "Nephew", and there are 12 deacons. In Tang poems, "the sound of the epidemic is gone" (Yao He), and "more rural envy children" (Xu Xuan) are talking about this kind of activity.

The royal family of the Tang Dynasty will hold a grand "Dada" ceremony on this day. The number of people reached more than 500 people. Shen Yan's poem "Keeping the New Year" poem: "The lamp people in the palace compete for the fire. The nephews in the palace drove away demons indiscriminately". And Wang Jian has a more detailed description: "Jin Wu entered the name of the Wu in addition to the night, and painted pants and Zhu Yi in four teams. The courtyard burns the lamp like the day, and the agarwood fire sits at the bottom and blows the sheng. ”

The same as the New Year in the afterlife, on the night of Chinese New Year's Eve. The whole family gathers together to eat, drink, and be merry without sleeping. This is the custom of "keeping the year" that has been passed down to this day.

The people of the Tang Dynasty liked to live in large families. If there are elderly people with high seniority, then not only the direct children and grandchildren of the elderly, but also the younger brothers, nephews, married sisters, and nephews who have already married may get together to celebrate the New Year. Among the customs of the Tang Dynasty. The elderly want to drink later, and the most sloppy drinker is called "blue tail".

When the time comes, say goodbye to the old and welcome the new. "Keeping the New Year" people get up one after another, the younger generations salute the elders, the slaves kowtow to the masters, and everyone wants to say auspicious words for the New Year. Men kneel down and kowtow, depending on the status of both parties.

The formal etiquette of women is called "bowing", and in the early Tang Dynasty, "worshipping" was to kneel on the ground first, and then clench your fists or join your hands in front of your chest, and your body and head also bowed slightly forward, and the range of movements was not large. After Wu Zhou, Tang women's "solemn worship" ceremony was easier than before, no need to kneel on the ground, just stand and bend forward and bow your hand.

Wait until the next day, that is, the first day of the new year, commonly known as the Yuan Day. The people of the Tang Dynasty were particularly sociable and lively, and on the first day of the first month of the first month, every household in Chang'an City set up a banquet, and the neighbors greeted each other. To some extent, it can be said that it goes to whose house to eat, and this also has a special name, called "Chuanza".

Soon after New Year's Day, it is the "beginning of spring", and on this day you have to eat "Wuxin Pan", also known as "Spring Pan", which is made up of five kinds of vegetables with a spicy smell to diffuse the stale qi in the five internal organs. In addition, gum tooth cake, cypress leaf wine, and Tusu wine are also traditional foods and drinks.

On the day of the beginning of spring, the Tang people also have the custom of wearing swallows cut from colored silk and pasting phrases on the door, called "Yichun characters". And some literary people in the belly will write a poem and paste it on the lintel, the meaning is the same as the Spring Festival couplets of later generations.

Regarding these habits and traditions introduced by Wang Youde and Wang Lao's housekeeper, Li Anran was not the slightest bit impatient. On the contrary, this tradition with a strong historical and humanistic flavor becomes more interesting the more you listen to it.

For this reason, Li Anran also deliberately emulated it in modern time and space. It's a pity that there is only one person in modern time and space, and there are only two people including Wei Yuanyuan. Even if you make some arrangements and arrangements, you can't get the flavor of Xiaoyao Villa.

Because Xiaoyao Villa didn't need to ask anything by himself, and because it was a year ago, whether it was a door-to-door visit or a doctor who asked for medicine, he stopped very interestingly, and Li Anran, who was a little bored, simply spent most of his time in modern time and space, and took Wei Yuanyuan to purchase it for the New Year.

What Li Anran didn't expect was that Hu Jing, who originally thought that she would stay in France to celebrate the New Year with her mysterious brother-in-law, actually returned to Nanjing a week ahead of schedule and contacted him as soon as possible.

Seeing that it was very lonely that there were only two people for the New Year, but now there is one more person, and it can be said that she is the godsister of her dearest, Li Anran's mood is naturally very high.

Don't look at the fact that there is only one more person, but the family is obviously lively. There are Hu Jing and Wei Yuanyuan chattering about the New Year's opinions, while busy inside and outside the house. The originally faint New Year's flavor has also become flavorful invisibly.

The three of them shared an SUV with a relatively large trunk capacity, constantly haunting major shopping malls and wholesale markets. Even if there are many things that are not necessary, they are all bought. It's not extravagant and wasteful, it's just a pleasure.

And a large part of these things can also be given as gifts when they go back, and for Li Anran, who is worth hundreds of millions, it is not a waste at all.

In addition to eating, drinking and dressing up, there will be no shortage of fireworks, lanterns and other items that are indispensable for the New Year. These things were not bought at the market, but were taken by Li Anran to a market held in the county every year before the Chinese New Year. As a result, not only did they buy a lot of useless things, but the stomachs of the three of them were also stuffed with special snacks from all over the market.

The only thing I didn't buy was the window grilles and couplets, not reluctant but disdainful. After buying the right red paper, Hu Jing and Wei Yuanyuan each took a pair of scissors, and quickly cut out a bunch of good-looking and auspicious window flowers.

As for the couplet, Li Anran, who can be regarded as a good handwriter, naturally disdains to use the kind of goods that are made in batches, but takes out a good pen, good inkstone and good ink from Datang time and space, and writes it by hand.

didn't expect this to be written, but a little "trouble" was written.

When the villagers found that the couplet posted outside the Li family's compound was not only auspicious and festive, but also that the character was better than that bought from the bazaar, some villagers with good relations first came to the door to ask for the word, and finally it developed to the whole village to ask for it. (To be continued......)
