Chapter 1113: Uncover the Mist, the Mysterious Cliff Bottom
What lies beneath this cliff is my intrigue. Looks like I have to go down this cliff. But before I can do that, I have to deal with these unscrupulous black dragon shadows.
These black dragon shadows are menacing, and the strength of the evil aura is rare in my life. The roar of "...... scream" is even more confusing and difficult to calm down.
What can I do with the evil spirits? I want to see how capable they are. Seeing that several black dragon shadows were close at hand, I didn't dare to slack off, and immediately sacrificed the vajra and held it in one hand.
Unexpectedly, the vajra was golden as soon as it was unveiled. Before my true qi entered it, it automatically radiated light.
It seems that these black dragon shadows are by no means ordinary, otherwise how could they force the vajra to react like this? I clenched the vajra tightly and hurriedly mobilized the true qi in my body.
In the blink of an eye, several black dragon shadows had already rushed out of the cliff, opened their mouths and immediately pounced on me.
I snorted, and swept away. What I have performed is the sweeping army of thousands of troops in the Vajra Spirit Technique, and I wield a stick with full power.
Only a "whew" sound was heard, and the vajra swept directly over the bodies of these black dragon shadows. But what made me a little hard to accept was that although the vajra swept the dragon shadows through, in reality, I only hit the air.
These black dragon shadows simply ignore vajra attacks, simply because they have no entity at all.
I had a bye and hurriedly stepped back. But alas, my speed was not faster than these black dragon shadows.
I was surrounded, as if I were in a black tornado. Listening to the "whooping" cry and the "whirring" wind, I couldn't help but be furious.
"Evil obstacles, dare to be presumptuous in front of me. Get the hell out of here!"
As soon as the words fell, I made a move with one hand, and the Seven-Star Dragon Yuan Sword immediately flew out of my body. It turned into a bits of starlight at a great speed, and then shot out in all directions of my body as my mind moved.
I don't believe that I can't subdue them like this, even the gods and immortals I am not afraid, and I can't capsize in the gutter today no matter what.
But what happened next made my mood plummet, and I fell directly from the clouds into the endless abyss.
The starlight transformed by the Seven Star Dragon Yuan Sword was extremely powerful, and it indeed shot through these black dragon shadows. But like the vajra, they seemed to hit the air, and they didn't do the slightest damage to these black dragon shadows.
Seeing this, I vaguely sensed that something was wrong. What exactly are these black dragon shadows?
They're not ghosts, they're not goblins, they're not monsters, so what could they be? And one thing that makes me very strange is that they're just trapping me, but they're not attacking me.
What is the purpose of what they are doing this? At this moment, I have realized what it means to be ghostly, and these black dragon shadows are like ghosts, haunting me all the time.
The supernatural powers I relied on suddenly lost their effect. No matter who it is, it's hard to accept it for a while.
I put all the vajra and the seven-star dragon abyss sword into my body, but it won't work at all anyway, and it's just a waste of strength to sacrifice it.
I pondered, and after a while, a wonderful idea popped into my head. Could it be that I'm overcomplicating things?
Could these black dragon shadows be illusions used to confuse me?
With that in mind, I decided to try something else. After taking a deep breath, I sat down cross-legged on the ground, then folded my hands and recited the six-character mantra with full concentration.
"Boom, well, well, horn, mic, sigh...... Om, well, what, horn, mic, ......"
As I recited the six-character mantra over and over again, a faint halo immediately appeared on my body.
The halo grew bigger and bigger, and almost every minute the halo grew, and the black dragon shadows that surrounded me receded a point.
Obviously, these black dragon shadows are extremely afraid of the Buddha's light, so it's fine, as long as they are still afraid, I should be invincible. Since they didn't dare to come forward, my worries gradually disappeared.
After closing my eyes, I recited the six-character mantra much faster, and the Buddha's light on my body also increased exponentially.
And so on for almost an hour. Finally, I could no longer hear the shrill roars, and I stopped chanting and opened my eyes.
Those black dragon shadows have disappeared without a trace, perhaps returning to the abyss in front of me.
Standing up, I reached out and wiped the sweat from my forehead, then looked into the abyss again. There is only endless darkness within the abyss, and there is no end in sight.
I hesitated, but finally mustered up the courage. Now that we have reached this point, what else is there to be afraid of? As the saying goes, if you don't go into the tiger's den, you will get a tiger. Perhaps in this abyss, I will be able to find the master that King Jizo Bodhisattva asked me to seek.
I moved my muscles for a moment, and then I took a dashing leap, and my body quickly fell towards the abyss.
I don't know what's in this abyss. All I know is that high risk leads to high reward. The eldest husband was born between heaven and earth and was fearless.
The body fell rapidly downward, and I didn't know when I would reach the bottom.
After about half an hour, something soft suddenly appeared under my feet. Stepping on this soft thing with both feet, as if stepping on a sofa, unloaded most of the force of the fall.
I hurriedly looked down to take a closer look, and at this glance, I immediately became confused. Instead of a sponge, not a soft cotton, not a soft sand, but a black cloud, under my feet.
Although this cloud cushioned my fall, it also made it difficult for me to fall. If I want to go down, I can only cut through the clouds.
But I don't know if this cloud will be equally unattackable? Anyway, I'm going to give it a try.
Thinking of this, I sacrificed the Seven Star Dragon Yuan Sword again. With my sword in one hand, I stabbed into the clouds beneath my feet.
Without the slightest sound or any obstruction, the Seven-Star Dragon Yuan Sword stabbed into the clouds and mist lightly.
Seeing this, I immediately stabbed continuously. But what worried me happened after all. These clouds are indeed the same as the black dragon shadow that besieged me before, it is also like air, it can be cut lightly, but it cannot be made to disappear.
But this is not too difficult to do, since the Seven-Star Dragon Yuan Sword can penetrate the clouds and mist. If I want to go through, I just need to be able to do it with a sword.
Thinking of this, I immediately rose to the sky with a little cloud and mist, and shouted in my mouth: "Seven Star Dragon Yuan Sword, two into one!"
As soon as the words fell, I only felt a sword appear in my heart. Immediately after, my body had already turned into white light, and finally completely fused with the Seven Star Dragon Yuan Sword.
As soon as I turned into a greatsword, I stabbed down with ferocity. After a "whew", the thick clouds were pierced by me.
And just as I pierced through the clouds and entered the clouds, the scene in front of me made me completely dumbfounded.
I never imagined that this cloud would be like this after the clouds. In front of me were statues, cracked in them.
There are statues of Buddhist monks, statues of Taoist gods, and statues of mythical beasts. Looking at these statues, one question after another popped up in my head.
Why are there so many statues of Buddhism, Taoism and mythical beasts here?
Who made these statues?
What is the purpose of having so many statues here?
One question after another appeared in my mind, and I was not feeling well. The statues are full of cracks, but they are lifelike, as if they were alive.
It's just that the expressions of these statues are very hideous, and when they look at them like this, they actually feel a chill down their spines.
I stared at it for a while, my forehead already covered with cold sweat. I'm not a timid person, on the contrary, I'm bolder than a lot of people.
But even so, here, I still have a chill in my heart. This inexplicable feeling made me uncomfortable, but I had no way back but to face it bravely.
I took a deep breath and walked towards the nearest statue with my legs raised. The easiest and most effective way to solve many of my questions is to find clues in these statues. The statue closest to me is carved with a Buddhist monk.
Judging from the statue, he is an old man with two extremely long eyebrows, and he is now gently brushing the hanging one of the eyebrows with one hand. Judging from this eyebrow, this should be a kind and kind old monk.
There is a word called benevolent eyebrows, which refers to the character of a person who can be seen from the eyebrows.
But the monk's expression was very terrifying, his eyes were glaring, his mouth was slightly open, and the momentum was as if he was about to eat people. Although the statue looks real, it actually gives the impression that it does not conform to reality.
For example, this is like a very beautiful woman, who is obviously beautiful, but she puts on a stinky face and deliberately shows her ugliness. In this way, anyone will find it weird.
Because there is no inscription on the statue, I don't know if this monk is actually the senior monk in the Western Buddhist world. I looked at it for a moment, then moved to look at the statue next to me.
The statue is also carved of a monk carrying a large bag on his back, with thick eyebrows and big eyes, and a large open mouth. His face was still terrifying, but I recognized him. As long as you know a little bit about the Buddhas of Buddhism, you will probably recognize them.
I hurriedly continued to check the Buddha statues next to me, and after looking at them one by one, I suddenly understood. After a brief inventory, it was exactly eighteen Buddha statues.
These Buddha statues are the eighteen Arhats enshrined in the temple, and I finally figured it out.
The first thing I checked was the long-eyebrow Arhat in Buddhism, and the one with the bag on his back was the Budai Arhat. As for the rest, what are the ear-digging arhats, contemplative arhats, and happy arhats, all of them correspond to each other one by one.
The eighteen Arhat Buddha statues of Buddhism actually appeared here, and they were deliberately scandalized. What is its purpose?
Could it be that this person has an enmity with Buddhism, so he did it on purpose?
