Chapter 1094: Growing Wisdom
It is rumored that it wears a black turban, carries a cloth bag on its left shoulder, holds a mallet in its right hand, and steps on a rice bag on its feet.
The immeasurable wisdom of the heavens of Bishamon. I heard that it was a god who was inspired by Kobo Daishi to the Tang Dynasty. It is said that Sugawara Michizane prayed to Bishamonten, thus opening up the path of the "Doctor of Articles" and possessing an inexhaustible source of wisdom. Bishamen is a martial god, wearing armor, holding a pagoda in one hand and a treasure stick in the other. It is also called Duowentian (i.e., one of the Four Heavenly Kings).
The longevity of the old man is the god of longevity who is not old. Originated from Chinese Taoism. It was introduced to the island nation during the Muromachi period. When the people of the island country hope for longevity, children and grandchildren, and good luck for their families, they worship the god of longevity. The god was armed with a scepter, and was always followed by a deer.
Fu Lu Shou is the god of happiness, high luck, and longevity. It is also said to be the incarnation of the South Pole Star. It is the god who was introduced to the island nation from China. The head of the tower and left a beautiful beard. Holding a cane, he is often with cranes.
The cloth bag monk said that Chu Yuan was auspicious. Also known as Maitreya Bodhisattva. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, the Chinese monk Yinyuan went to Japan to establish the Wanfu Temple of the Huangbari Sect. He went to various places to make connections, helped others for pleasure, and brought architecture, Buddha statues, calligraphy and paintings, tea, and dishes to the island country. The cloth bag god has a big belly and a fat body, and is named because there is always a cloth bag next to him.
Bencaiten is called the god of good fortune and is the only goddess among the seven gods of good fortune. Legend has it that she was proficient in music and was an eloquent goddess who was the first goddess to be revered in India. She always has a lute by her side. It is said that she has eight arms and can use eight kinds of weapons: bow, knife, axe, roll, rope, arrow, halberd, pestle, and wheel.
The reason why the Seven Lucky Gods generally appear on treasure ships. It is said that because it is an island country, it was extremely inconvenient to interact and trade with other countries in ancient times, so it attached great importance to the role of ships, and entrusted the Seven Lucky Gods and treasure ships with the wish of trading with foreign countries and hoping for prosperous business, and thus the Seven Lucky Gods were associated with the treasure ships.
At the end of the Muromachi period, there was a custom of "Seven Lucky God Thieves" to seek good fortune for the New Year, and on the occasion of the New Year, some poor people put on the costumes of the Seven Lucky Gods and quietly slipped into other people's homes, and the family would happily shout "The Lucky God is coming, the Lucky God is coming." And give some of the finances to those who dress up as the Seven Lucky Gods. Those who scatter wealth are auspicious, and those who gain wealth are happy.
During the Tang Dynasty, the Kukai master of the island country went to the Tang Dynasty to seek the Dharma, and brought part of the Tang Mi inheritance back to the island country, forming the later Dongmi.
In the island country, Tantra is popular, up to the noble emperor, down to the monks and ninjas, will carry out the practice of Tantra, Tantra is called Tantra, that is because it is not universal, only between master and apprentice, but due to the popularity of Tantra, the entire island country has been affected, three of the seven gods of good fortune, that is, the famous Bishamen Heaven of Esoteric Buddhism, the Great Black Heaven, and the Debate Heaven.
On the one hand, they are the gods, and the Bishamen Heaven, the Great Black Heaven, and the Pole Heaven have actually hidden the Buddha nature, and they are also great bodhisattvas who practice the Bodhisattva Path, so it is best to recite the Diamond Sutra and dedicate it to their own deities, which can make their divine power more powerful on the one hand, delay the arrival of the five decays of heaven and man, and on the other hand, accelerate their Buddhahood.
Many people are concerned about one more thing, what mantra should a child recite if he wants to take the college entrance examination and usually has bad grades?
Regarding academics, studying well and doing well in exams are sometimes not necessarily equated, because there are blessings behind them. Some students usually take exams and are among the best in the school, but during the college entrance examination, they did not take the exam well and made mistakes. Then I repeated, I usually studied very well, but I took the college entrance examination again, but I was still unsatisfactory.
Why?
Many great achievers are emphasizing that as long as they are filial to their parents, the ghosts and gods are admired, and with the accumulation of virtue, many disasters and difficulties will be resolved automatically.
If you want your child to be admitted to a good school, you have to accumulate virtue on your ancestors, and your parents will plant a blessed field, otherwise, if you want to get into a good university, it will be more difficult than ascending to the sky, and you want the master to draw a talisman to make a method to get into a good university, that is too superstitious, no one can do this job!
Master Yinguang once said: All hairdresses are their grandfathers who have great yin virtue. If there is no yin virtue, if it is made by manpower, there will be a great disaster behind, and it is better not to send it to heal. The lives of great sages and sages throughout the ages and presents are all caused by his grandfather's accumulation of virtue. The same is true of the rich.
Being admitted to a wishful university, especially those prestigious schools, can shine on the lintel, which itself needs to consume good fortune. Therefore, for both academics and exams, it is best to practice both blessings and wisdom, not only to accumulate merit and resources, but also to practice the method of increasing wisdom.
Someone once recited Manjushri's mantra, Diamond Sutra, and Great Compassion mantra to his nephew who took the college entrance examination, and asked the monastery to recite the mantra three times at the same time. Before the college entrance examination, my nephew suddenly improved his ranking by nearly 100 in the mock test, and later took the college entrance examination as he wished. His previous grades were in the mock exam, and he never took a book once. After reciting the scriptures, I have always put on a line.
In order to let children get their exams as they wish, but also to increase their wisdom, knowledge, and learning ability. For example, after practicing, one can read and understand the scriptures and even have some enlightenment, and the skills in the world can be heard and remembered, and the ability to learn can be quickly improved, and the method of improving wisdom is required.
In general, the method of improving wisdom is like the Heart Sutra. The Heart Sutra does have the power to increase wisdom and perseverance, and some people have a particularly good memory after reciting it. In the Buddha's Dharani Sutra, the mantra behind the Heart Sutra is an independent mantra as a practice to increase the wisdom of Prajna and to hear it.
There is also the mantra of Manjushri and the mantra of the Void Bodhisattva. In Tibet, there are five Manjushri practices, such as Yellow Manjushri and White Manjushri, and Lama Tsongkhapa is the achiever of Manjushri.
As far as Dongmi is concerned, he attaches great importance to the cultivation of the Void Tibetan Bodhisattva, and when Master Kukai practiced the Void Tibetan Seeking Hearing and Practicing the Dharma, he entered the Tang Dynasty to seek Tang Secret and completed it in three months. According to the clouds, Master Kukai was not only the dragon elephant of Buddhism, but also proficient in Confucianism and Taoism, and his wisdom and wisdom were so high that he was outstanding among the practitioners of the time.
Manjushri is famous for her great wisdom, and she is the embodiment of Manjushri Bodhisattva (Ming Concubine represents the manifestation of the wisdom of the body) is actually the incarnation of Manjushri, referring to the double body of Manjushri, any Bodhisattva has two powers: strength and wisdom.
When it comes to Brahma, the public is no stranger, and the Erawan Buddha is famous in Thailand for its miracles. In Hinduism, it is believed that the Buddha is his wife, and there is a rule regarding the Buddha-figures, and the Buddha-figures of both Hinduism and Buddhism are particularly effective.
For example, the twelve heavens of Buddhism are worshipped in Hinduism.
