The origin of demons, ghosts, Buddhas, etc. in the book (must read before reading)

In the comments, many friends mentioned that among the hundreds of sons, there are no demons, ghosts, and Buddhas, and it is Xiaoxian who deceives readers. Here, let Xiaoxian plead his case.

First, the hundred schools of thought, since they are called the hundred schools, actually include academics from all walks of life, just like the three hundred and sixty lines we often say. In the pre-Qin period, with the prosperity of society, all walks of life began to emerge, and various ideas also surged out. Nowadays, there are only nine streams and ten schools that are worthy of learning from future generations (in fact, they are ten), which is far from the name of a hundred schools.

Looking through some historical documents, it is not difficult to find that some peddlers, pawns, chickens and dogs also have their own set of theories, and if they are boiled down, they can also become a family. It's just that they have a low level of education, don't know how to write and ink, and don't leave any works, but only a few words are left in the records of the rest of the families.

The hundred schools of thought are all-encompassing, that is, in books such as "Analects" and "Zhuangzi", many theories that are not Confucianism and Taoism are introduced.

Therefore, when we talk about the hundred schools of thought, we cannot be limited to the words of the nine streams and ten schools.

Second, "The Creation of Kyushu" is a novel, not a historical biography. Even historical fiction can be infused with elements of free play. This is fiction, not history.

Okay, let's talk about the background of these three.

1. Demon family. The demon family belongs to the beast taming industry in the book, because the cooperation of people and beasts can increase combat effectiveness, which is an indispensable combination mode in today's novels.

2. Ghost home. The prototype of the ghost family is the Zongheng family, because its representative character Guiguzi lives in the ghost valley, and in many novels in later generations, it is also called the ghost valley faction, which may not be very familiar to everyone. In order to enhance the story, Xiaoxian classified it as a ghost family. The Zongheng faction is good at using strategy and is known for its stratagem, so it is only fitting for them to cultivate the art of the soul.

(A few more sentences here: many readers may think that Guiguzi is a fairy-like character, and they feel very uncomfortable to describe the Guiguzi faction as expressionless at the beginning.) In fact, if you really understand the Zongheng School, you will find that the evaluation of the Zongheng School in later generations is not high. "In the twilight of the Qin Dynasty, there is no decision on things, and it is capricious", this is the evaluation of later generations. You can learn about the stories of Su Qin, Zhang Yi, Le Yi, Fan Ju and other representatives of the Zongheng family, standing on the opposite side of them, you will feel that they are inhumane and hateful. For the sake of their own ideals or goals, they play with the lives and deaths of hundreds of people. They are indeed successful people, but they lack the kindness that they should have as a human being. )

3. Buddhism. The Shi family was introduced to China in the Western Han Dynasty, and according to the division of the hundreds of schools of thought in the past, it was indeed a foreign household. However, because the influence of Buddhism on later generations is too great, if you write a fairy tale novel, it is somewhat regrettable to lack the Buddhist family of great compassion, so Xiaoxian risked the world's disapproval and added the Buddhism family.

The Hundred Schools of Thought contain the splendid classical culture of China, which has a profound impact on later generations. I think, from the perspective of our modern people, why not include the Buddhist culture that has been integrated into our hearts into these hundred cultures?
