This is my opinion on Xianxiawen today. Xianxia has become too much, and Xianxia's readers' tastes have become too much. But it still has its own charm, but it needs a new way of thinking and interpreting it.
The style of Xianxia is now divided into two categories: old-school and new-school, and Weijing is distinct.
The so-called old-fashioned refers to the traditional Xianxia texts with a strong atmosphere of cultivating immortals and becoming enlightened, these Xianxia texts have good language skills, beautiful writing, magnificent patterns, ups and downs of the plot, and characters of fairy wind and bones, and are filled with an atmosphere of being out of the world. The word "Wenqing" can be used to explain its characteristics. Representative works include "Sou Shen Ji", "Ethereal Journey", "The Legend of Mortal Immortals" and so on.
The so-called new school refers to the same on the basis of the core "cultivation of immortals" of the old school, adding some witty and humorous elements, including the light style Xianxia formed by integrating some fantasy and urban golden fingers. Compared with the old-school Xianxia text, the overall style has a very obvious fast-food change, which is more in line with the objective needs of the current readers' young age, time fragmentation, and shallow reading. For example, chestnuts: "The Strongest Family Master", "The Fairy King", "I Became a Defensive Weapon" and so on. The book for example is very typical, and you can peruse the tens of thousands of fonts at the beginning.
Today's readers' tastes are shifting from the old school to the new school.
Therefore, I will not elaborate on the traditional old-school Xianxia texts, and authors who are accustomed to writing traditional Xianxia texts, please keep one thing in mind: weaken the routines and strengthen the characters and plots.
The following mainly mentions what matters need to be paid attention to when writing a new school of Xianxia essays, so as to better cater to the interests of current readers.

The golden mean refers to the way to take the old school and the new school. Here, it refers to taking the bones of the old-school Xianxia text and the skin and flesh of the new-school writing, and combining the two.
Xianxia needs bones, and its bones are generally composed of two parts:

The protagonist can cultivate immortals in the city, cultivate immortals in another world, cultivate immortals with a system, cultivate immortals directly with the second dimension, and cultivate immortals in the last days, all of which can be.
