Chapter 18: Self-Discipline
The vast majority of the scriptures are about the path to enlightenment of the saints, that is, their wisdom in life, and the wisdom they realized on their own life path before they were defined as saints.
So, are there any scriptures that describe how to practice after enlightenment?
Yes, and there are not many of them, but these classics are very difficult to understand, or simply ...... , it's okay to see it in vain.
It's not that I can't understand this...... In fact, it can be said that you can't understand it, but in fact, it can also be said to be understandable, after all, it's just words, but whenever you write an article, there is no reason why people can't understand it.
It's just that, no matter whether you can understand these advanced classics or not, in fact, after reading them, you can only increase some knowledge, and there is also help for spiritual practice, but it is not as helpful as those simple classics.
Of course, this varies from person to person, and people with high qualifications, good wisdom roots, and relatively good fortune may have the effect of enlightenment when they look at these classics, which is also a matter of maybe.
However, this kind of high-level classics, among all the classics, actually accounts for a very small proportion.
Especially the Confucian classics that have gone through various wars, basically, these classics have been so few that they are outrageous, but you can only see a little shadow between the words of some ordinary classics.
This is really a hateful and very sad thing.
However, it is precisely because of the lack of high-level classics that it is very important that all the real Confucian classics that have survived are not fake, but real!
There are also counterfeit and shoddy products in the classics, and there are so many that they are terrifying, after all, pulling the flag and pulling the tiger skin is not the patent of modern people.
Therefore, this is also the importance of independent thinking when reading, otherwise it will be a little careless...... , you will definitely be fooled.
Therefore, if you are a good person and practice your own Dharma, then it will be possible to see your mind and become a better self, that is, an enlightened person - Buddha!
Whether this is the case or not, whether this view is correct or not, everyone's opinion is absolutely different, as long as you don't think about it without thinking about it, and directly and arbitrarily and directly deny it, then, whether it is correct or not, it actually doesn't matter.
If the assumption is just an assumption, and this view is correct, then it will naturally lead to the conclusion that the so-called practice is really just to be yourself.
This conclusion seems very simple, but in fact, it is not simple at all, because to recognize oneself, one needs to rely on wisdom to think, and all sentient beings who have not become Buddhas are all people who have not done their best.
However, if you can't do yourself well, it doesn't necessarily mean that you are unhappy, drunk and lying on the knees of beauties, waking up and holding the power of the world, of course, is it a very happy life, but isn't it a happy life for wives and children to heat the kang head?
Happiness and fulfillment are two concepts that are fundamentally different, and everyone's definition of perfection is completely different.
It can be said that the definition of perfection is made by oneself, and it has nothing to do with anyone, and others say that their life is not perfect, just like others say that their life is not happy, and they don't need to pay attention to it at all.
Some people think that their life is very happy, that is, a complete life, of course, there is no problem, while some people think that although their life is not very happy, they have achieved a great career, and they have also achieved a complete life, and there is no problem; in the eyes of those professional practitioners, they have worked hard all their lives, but they have not done a good job in themselves, so they also think that their life is not a complete life.
There is even such a terrifying sentence that reminds all professional cultivators that if they don't work hard, how serious the consequences will be - they will not be able to do the Tao in this life, and they will be returned by hair!
This is a bit scary, because if you don't do well in this life, then you will become a horned animal such as cattle and sheep in the next life.
Whether this is the case or not, it may be, or it may simply be a scare at all, anyway, this is all a problem for professional practitioners, and ordinary people can't talk about it.
Therefore, whether it is the definition of high perfection or the definition of low perfection of obscene development, it is all your own personal definition, whether it is high or low...... , all the same!
It can even be said that even if you don't define perfection, you only seek one happiness in your life, and you don't even pursue happiness, you just live your life in a daze, can you?
Of course, there is no problem, because your own life is defined by yourself after all, that is, you like to be confused, you just don't pursue happiness, and you don't pursue any fulfillment of life, it's all your own business, and you don't have anything to do with others at all.
However, there is one thing that no one can escape, and that is their own way of living, if they even abandon their way of living, alas...... , isn't that just a choke?
Therefore, there is no need to point fingers at others, nor do you need to teach others how to live, let alone persuade others to practice well, be a good person, and live a good life.
Life is a continuous practice, everyone has their own way of living, as long as there is still a breath, that is the necessity to continue living, this is ...... It's all just your own business.
Whether you are happy or not, whether you are satisfied or not, whether you have done a good job and whether you have a good life, who can make a judgment except yourself, and who is qualified to teach what?
No one can, control their own life, the ups and downs, and they have to taste it themselves.
After the Buddha became enlightened, he turned around and wanted to leave the world, and he didn't want to stay at all, let alone leave behind any so-called Buddhism, why?
Assuming that the answer is like this, whether it is right or not, the Buddha actually understood that he could not dictate the path of others at all, so he did not want to stay at all.
If this assumption is true, then we can naturally come to the conclusion that the Dharma that the Buddha preached throughout his life, that is, the so-called Dharma that reached the other side of the sea of suffering, is ...... It's useless!
Whether the Buddha has the Dharma of crossing the sea of suffering, there is absolutely it, but his Dharma is his Fa, not someone else's.
As for the sages of Confucianism and Taoism, there are so many more of them, and there is only one law at all...... , and did not leave it to the world.
If you look at it this way, the saints are all good and bad, they don't even share good things, they don't have compassion at all, it's wrong, it's wrong!
Person...... After all, it is necessary to live by oneself, and the various methods left by the Buddha can help people move forward on the road of cultivation, but whether they can reach the final shore and whether they can do their best have never been guaranteed.
Therefore, do your own things, walk your own life, and your own suffering...... Measure yourself!
