Chapter 398: Alchemy begins
The people under Fu Chunyang's hands were quite efficient, and the various medicinal materials that Han Xiao wanted had already been delivered as quickly as possible.
In other words, it is now time to start alchemy.
Han Xiao divided the medicinal materials in the corresponding proportions, not by his own hands, nor by spiritual power, but by directing the hundred puppets he had refined before to divide them in an orderly manner.
At this point, Fu Chunyang finally knew what these hundred puppets with low-level materials and weak combat effectiveness were used for.
The next step was even more surprising to Fu Chunyang, because Han Xiao's alchemy furnace had been activated, but he didn't burn firewood or use a fire......
However, Fu Chunyang's divine sense had clearly sensed energy at the bottom of the alchemy furnace.
Actually, it's electric energy, that's right, Han Xiao's alchemy is different from Han Peng, and it's also different from the alchemy hall, after he learned the basics of alchemy and Han Peng's alchemy experience, he integrated it, and then used his own way to alchemy.
Speaking of alchemy......
In fact, Han Xiao had also studied alchemy in his previous life, but at that time, he was studying alchemy on the earth...... Well, to be precise, Chinese alchemy, because in the whole earth, in history, only Chinese Taoist Taoists were alchemizing, and this refining not only refined the elixir, but also refined the fire.
Alchemy in ancient China is a collective term for refining outer and inner pills.
Originating from Huang Lao Dao, the Wai Dan technique is to smelt minerals in a Dan furnace to make "elixir".
Later, the human body was used as a furnace to practice the essence and spirit, which was called the Inner Dan technique.
Wai Dan refers to the Taoist smelting of pills through various secret methods, which are used to eat, or directly consume certain sesame herbs, in order to ignite their own yin and turn them into yang energy. Chen Shidao notes: "Taoism takes the cooking of gold and stone as the outer pill, and the dragon and tiger are breathed, and the old and the new are the inner pill." ”
The above is the difference between inner and outer Dan summarized by ancient Chinese Danshi.
Let's talk about Neidanshu first......
Nei Dan Shu is the name of Qigong by Taoists and Taoists, with the ultimate goal of cultivating immortals and achieving immortality.
This technique uses the human body as the furnace, so it is called the "inner Dan", which is different from the "outer Dan".
Neidanshu originated in Huang Lao Taoism and flourished in the Tang and Song dynasties. Traditionally, the main practitioners and researchers of Qigong were Taoists and physicians who were deeply influenced by Taoist medicine. Guhuaxia traditional qigong is all Neidan gong.
The root of Nei Dan Gong is the Taoist theories such as the change of yin and yang, the five elements of life, the unity of heaven and man, and the correspondence between heaven and man, as well as the rich knowledge of Chinese medicine mastered by Danshi. Absorb external qi, nourish internal qi, and yin and yang, pass through the meridians, and implement it with "refining and refining qi, refining qi and transforming gods, refining gods and returning voids".
During the Han, Jin and Tang dynasties, Neidan Gong gradually dissolved with Taoist martial arts and became an inner martial arts. The inner martial arts conceal the inner Dan technique, and can be used, and many cultivators also use the inner martial arts as a shortcut to alchemy and cultivate the mind.
Cultivating Nei Dan or Nei Jia Quan can generally make the weak person's physique quickly become stronger within a year or two.
Taijiquan masters Wu Tunan, Chen Weiming, etc., all belong to this list.
Today, there are many people who practice inner boxing to strengthen their bodies, but many do not know the wonder of internal boxing to strengthen their bodies, and they hide in the inner Dangong in the mental method.
If you only know the appearance, it is really useless, and the one who lacks it is the inner pill technique.
Let's talk about the Wai Dan technique......
Wai Dan refers to the Taoist smelting of pills through various secret methods, which are used to eat, or directly consume certain sesame herbs, in order to ignite their own yin and turn them into yang energy. In addition, the Taoist Wai Dan can also refer to the "pure spiritual qi in the void".
Wai Dan can also refer to alchemy or Taoist spells such as talismans, thunder methods, etc.
"Danding School" is the general name of the various sects in Taoism that mainly seek longevity and immortality. It was first developed by the ancient Huang Lao Taoists and so on.
Chen Xuanning, a modern Taoist scholar and former president of the China Taoist Association, believes that Neidan health preservation is the essence of Taoism.
Dan is a dosage form of traditional Chinese medicine, and many prescriptions in ancient and modern times are called "Dan" to show miracles, such as Tianwang Buxin Dan, Zhibao Dan, Shanhai Dan and so on. These prescriptions, mainly formulated from animal and plant medicines, are no different from Dan in the original sense, but only borrow the name "Dan", and the profound influence of ancient alchemy on later generations can be seen.
Alchemy, also known as Wai Dan Huang Bai Shu, or Jin Dan Shu, referred to as "Wai Dan", is different from the "Nei Dan" guidance technique of the Longevity Zhenren Qiu Chu Ji Quanzhen Longmen School. Alchemy began in the middle of the Warring States period, after the Qin and Han dynasties, it began to prevail, after the two Song Dynasty, Taoism advocated the cultivation of inner Dan (that is, qigong), and the "Danding faction" was popular for a while and excluded the outer Danshu.
Until the end of the Ming Dynasty, the Waidan fire refining method gradually declined and gave way to "Materia Medica". The Taoist Waidanhuang Atractylodes has been prevalent in China for nearly two thousand years. Mr. Yuan Hanqing, a well-known expert in the history of chemistry in China, believes that alchemy is the pioneer of modernization, and the experimental instruments and drugs used in it have become the material preparations needed in the early stage of chemical development.
Although the Taoist Waidanhuang and Baizhu ultimately failed to achieve the expected goal, the tenacious practice and exploration activities of the Taoist Jindanjia objectively stimulated and promoted the development of ancient Chinese science.
Throughout the history of the development of chemistry in the world, just as in the West, in the Alexandrian period of ancient Greece, "chemistry appeared in the original form of alchemy", in the East, the Taoist Waidan Huangbai Art gave birth to China's splendid ancient chemistry, and black powder, one of the four major inventions that the Chinese are proud of, was originally conceived in the "Fuhuo" experiment of the Taoist Jindan family in the Tang Dynasty, and was first applied to war in the Northern Song Dynasty.
The Jindan thought in the Taoist Waidan Huangbaizhu occupies a very important position and significance in the history of ancient Chinese chemical thought. For more information on the contribution of the Taoist Waidanhuang Atractylodes to ancient Chinese chemical thought, you can also refer to the relevant books such as "The Development of Taoist Scientific Thought" by Gai Jianmin.
Alchemy is a method used by the ancients to refine elixir in pursuit of "longevity". Dan refers to Dansha or mercury sulfide, which is an inorganic compound of sulfur and mercury (mercury), because it is red, Tao Hongjing called "Dansha is cinnabar." Unlike plants and trees, dansha not only burns but does not ember, but "the longer it is burned, the more wonderful the changes become." ”
The mercury produced by mercury is a metallic substance, but it is in a liquid state, with a metallic luster and different from the "stubborn shape and stagnant nature" of hardware (gold, silver, copper, iron, tin). ”。
Due to the pharmacological effect and physicochemical properties of dansha, ancient alchemists used it as the main material for alchemy. Its shape is round and flowing, easy to volatilize, the ancients felt very magical, and then choose other gold and stone drugs to liquid mercury (mercury), according to a certain formula mixed with each other for smelting, and repeatedly carry out the experiment of reduction and oxidation reaction, in order to refine the "nine turn to return to the pill" or "nine return to the golden pill".
This is the earliest chemical reaction product of humans.
In ancient times, it was believed to be an elixir of immortality with miraculous properties. Written in the Qin and Han dynasties, the most ancient book of "Materia Medica" work "Shennong's Materia Medica", the hardware, three yellow, ping stone and other more than 40 drugs are listed as upper, middle and lower three products, pointing out that the standard of its classification is: "medicine makes people safe, life prolongs, ascend to heaven, immortal ,......" of which dansha is listed as the first in alchemy, is the earliest important drug material selected in ancient alchemy.
Alchemists decompose mercury (mercury) after heating dansha, and then find that mercury (mercury) is combined with sulfide to form black mercury sulfide, and then heated to sublimate it, it returns to the original state of red mercury sulfide.
