Chapter 5-162: A Journey to Find Your Roots (4)
Bayan Kala Mountain, the Sea of Stars. The terrain of Bayan Kala Mountain is towering, the mountains are undulating, the majestic mountains are continuous, and the scene is magnificent. Most of the area is between 4,500 and 6,000 meters above sea level. Due to the high altitude and the vast area, the peaks here are not steep and relatively gentle.
Some of the peaks are very similar to the five ridges under the pen of Mi Fu, round and rough, some of the peaks look at the scenic spot from afar, near the elephant river, between the mountains as if the plain is as vast and flat. In ancient times, China called the mountain "Kunshan", also known as "Kunlun Hill" or "Little Kunlun".
The famous ancient book "Classic of Mountains and Seas" once recorded: "Kunlun Mountain is in the northwest, and the river flows out of its northeast corner." "Out of its northeast corner, it is only the source of the river". It can be seen that from the ancient times of China, people have identified Bayan Kala Mountain as the birthplace of the Yellow River.
The altitude of the mountains at the northern foot of Bayankala Mountain is mostly below 5,000 meters, and the altitude of the ancient Zonglie Basin and the source area of the Yellow River is about 4,500 meters. The mountains here are gentle, and the front of the mountains is full of large and small swamps and lakes, among which the famous ones are the Sea of Stars, Zhaling Lake and Ngoring Lake.
The source of the Yellow River trickles water, clear and gentle, passes through the basin pot-shaped "middle" and flows into the sea of stars. As it flows through this vast swamp, it is slow and does not form a river channel. Therefore, in the past, it was generally thought that the Xingzhu Sea was the source of the Yellow River.
There is permafrost underground, poor drainage, and swampy meadows with a predominance of wet plants, suitable for grazing cattle and horses. Well-drained valleys and low slopes are meadows dominated by mesophytes, rich in plant species and infested with large mammals.
However, the mountainous terrain here is high, the climate is cold, and it belongs to the alpine desert grassland. The climate here is a typical continental cold climate, the air is thin, the climate is very cold, and there are ** months of snow in a year, and the minimum temperature in winter can reach about -35C, so many snow-capped mountains of about 5000m have snow cover that does not melt all year round and permafrost. The warm season is relatively short, usually only more than three months, and the temperature is low, "even in the middle of summer, the maximum temperature is only about 10 C."
So it's sparsely populated, and only a few Tibetans are engaged in animal husbandry here. In the mountains and valleys, yaks and sheep are flocks from far and near. On the gentle slope facing the sun, patches of grass flats cover the earth like emerald green carpets, and occasionally scattered pastoral bun houses are dotted in between.

Now, "they are commanded to be on the shore of the Nakshatra Sea."
The Nakshatra Sea is not actually a lake, but a group of lakes.
The sea of stars, known in Tibetan as "wrong fork", means "huā haizi". The topography here is a long and narrow basin, more than 30 kilometers long from east to west and more than 10 kilometers wide from north to south.
The water of the Yellow River travels here, and because of the gentle terrain, the river suddenly widens and slows down, and the water flowing everywhere "forms large swamps and numerous lakes here." In this small basin, there are hundreds of lakes of different sizes and shapes, the large ones are hundreds of square meters, the small ones are only a few square meters, and these lakes are shining in the sunlight, like the twinkling stars in the night sky, and the name of the sea of stars probably comes from this.
In some previous martial arts, it was often mentioned that there were any martial arts sects stationed here. However, it is actually impossible" because there is no martial arts sect, there has never been.
The members of the church and those "bodyguards" of the "Chinese" country began to camp next to Zhang Mei's order. Zhu Hongxue and those Taoist priests were also on hand to help.
Of course, Uncle Si Ming will not interfere in this kind of thing, it is now standing on a mountain.
It stood here and looked around, with some confusion on its face, "It seems to be remembering something."
Wang Tiezhu's face was a little pale, although he was also a cultivator, but the sharp rise in altitude sickness "made him, a veteran agent, a little unbearable."
However, the real reason for his current pale face is not altitude sickness, but a feeling of shock and fear.
Because they just went up the mountain too fast, and the process was too smooth.
Not only was he shocked, but several of his colleagues who had been here had similar reactions.
Their department had been here a few times before because of their missions, but they didn't hum this time, and the process went smoothly.
A bodyguard walked over and whispered, "Team Wang, something doesn't seem right............ The process was so smooth......"
This person's name is Zhang Xin, and he is most familiar with the terrain here.
He said with a pale face: "............ Team Wang, we didn't even encounter a single car trap along the way............ It's summer, it's summer...... And, I just looked at the wheels, and the dirt on them is not here...... When I was driving just now, I felt something was wrong, it felt like driving on a rubber floor......"
There are no roads, let alone highways, not even country roads. Due to the permafrost everywhere, once summer comes, it is almost a swamp. "There are more than 100 springs, or springs or waters, the water is depressed like scattered, it can be seventy or eighty miles, and the mud is drowning, it is not over the people's tracks, Fu can force the view, walk on the high mountain and look down, like the stars......" is said here.
When they came here before, they faced a harsh climate and muddy frozen soil. Tulu has experienced more than 100 car traps and digging cars. Later, I really had no choice but to give up the off-road vehicle.
However, this time, they didn't even encounter even one car trap, and they just drove along the way.
When he got out of the car just now, he checked the road he had come over, only to find that it was a quagmire at all. At that time, he found a stone and threw it, but it was swallowed up in the mire at once.
What surprised him even more was that there was only a small amount of dirt on the tires of the vehicles that came by, and it was clearly not here. In other words, when they drove over just now, they had even a little muddy water on their wheels.
Wang Tiezhu's heart was a little cold, but he still said with the same expression: "I know...... But don't say anything now, just pretend you don't know anything............"

Tomotoji Temple.
It is a small temple at the foot of the Bayan Kala Mountain.
The presiding officer of the temple is called Chinle, an old monk in his sixties, who is quite famous in the local area and is said to have some skills.
However, this temple does not belong to Buddhism, but to a relatively rare sect, the Ibon religion.
Bon, because the believers are wrapped in black scarves on their heads, they are also commonly known as black religions. It is said to have originated in Persia and was a witchcraft that was popular in Tibet before Buddhism was introduced to Tibet. The objects of worship include various natural objects such as heaven, earth, sun and moon, thunder and lightning, hail, mountains, rocks, grass and beasts, as well as gods and ghosts in the natural world. It's a very primitive fetishism.
The symbol of Bon is generally a swastika, which rotates in the opposite direction to the Buddhist symbol swastika.
After Buddhism was introduced to Tibet, Bon had a fierce conflict with Buddhism. It was not until after the debate between Buddhism and Bon was presided over by the Tibetan Tsangpu Chide Zuzan that the Bon religion was defeated and Buddhism became the official religion of Tibet.
This result is not surprising: how can Bon, a primitive religion, be an opponent of Buddhism? This Bon religion is so primitive that it does not even have its own scriptures and specific teachings.
Although Buddhism is not a rival to Brahmanism in India, it is a rival to Bon.
However, since then, the battle between Ben and Buddha has not stopped. After the last Tibetan emperor Zampu Langdama gained power, he destroyed the Buddha and Xingben, which is known in history as "Langdarma destroying the Buddha" is a major counterattack by the Tibetan Buddhist forces. However, Bon also felt its own weakness and evolved in the direction of imitation of Buddhism.
Bon did not have an ancestor at first, but it was found that Buddhism had a godfather, Sakyamuni, so he created the legendary Bon ancestor of "Xingrao". Legend has it that at the same time as Shakyamuni, the ancestor of Xingrao cultivated in the Gangdis Mountains and founded the Bon religion in the Zhangzhung area. Moreover, they also began to refer to Buddhist scriptures, and copied a lot of their own scriptures.
Because Langdarma's "extermination of the Buddha" Buddhism, the flourishing period of Buddhism ended in Tibet for a time. But soon after, Langdarma was assassinated by Buddhist monks, and Tibet was divided. It was not until the old century that Tibetan Buddhism entered the post-propagation period again, and Buddhism re-established itself as the official religion of Tibet and gradually became the faith of the majority of the people.
In this situation, on the one hand, the Bon forces developed in Sichuan, Yunnan and other places around Tibet, and established temples in places where the Tibetan Buddhism was relatively weak, maintaining many of the characteristics of Bon itself, which the Tibetans call Black Bon. On the other hand, the local Bon forces in Tibet took the initiative to reconcile their contradictions with Buddhism, moved closer to Buddhism in doctrine and rituals, and became a sect similar to Tibetan Buddhism, known as White Bon.
This Dubon Monastery belongs to the White Bon religion, although they now look a lot like Tibetan Buddhism. But it's just an image, they're not Buddhism, and even the gods they believe in are completely different.
Bon is also a polytheistic religion, similar to other polytheistic religions, and almost every temple has its own focus on worshipping the gods. The mainstream gods include the "Yaksha King", Elephant Beauty, Purba, etc.
However, the deities enshrined in this temple are very strange, not to mention that they are not with other Bon peers, and even Tibetan Buddhism cannot be found.
This is a very strange image of a deity, not even a human form, and the sleeve is a white cloud auspicious deity.
Since last month, the head of the temple, Chinle, has announced that he has closed his doors, much to the surprise of the herders in the vicinity.
After the closure, Chinle sat in front of the statue of the auspicious deity without eating or drinking, and to this day, he has been sitting in the temple for more than a month.
However, this morning, the old monk finally opened his eyes, and with a happy smile on his face, he was so excited that he fell to his knees in front of the idol and recited the scriptures aloud.
It wasn't until the end of the chanting that he stood up tremblingly.
"Master, are you saying that the auspicious deity will come?" his apprentice hurriedly supported him and asked with a look of excitement.
The old monk said excitedly, "Yes...... The deity has descended...... Tashi, come with me, and we'll go meet the deity...... I already feel the deity, and the sleeve is on the mountain......"
