The ninth level of Nessus is the deepest realm of the nine layers of hell, a plain dotted with canyons deeper than the deepest trenches.

Many ravines and canyons stretch for tens of thousands of kilometers, and they are full of identical, lifeless stones. Among these countless canyons is a canyon of incredible depth and width, located just below the realm of the eighth level of Kania and Nessers, and from here you can go up to the deep hell of Kania.

At the bottom of the canyon there is a huge castle, which is the capital of the nine hells, the castle of Asmodes, the lord of the nine hells, the "fortress of hell" Malshem, with its dark, noble, purgatory-like beauty, stands in this canyon.

The fortress is incomparably huge, several kilometers above the plain. But like an iceberg on the water, its visible spires and fortifications pale in comparison to the huge halls in the canyon.

Malshem is the largest known fortress in the Outer Realm. It was large enough to hold millions of devils, enough to form an army of any army on a bloody battlefield. The master of Malshem, the Ninth Lord, the undisputed King of the Nine Layers of Hell, Asmodeus, used these demons as reserves.
